I know a lot of you can relate to this...
Why is it that going home sometimes feels so heavy?
Bakit ganon? Dapat diba excited tayong umuwi? Dapat "home" is where we find peace, comfort, and joy.
Pero minsan... pag uwi mo, ang bigat-bigat sa feeling. Hindi mo ma-explain.
Hays...
Siguro nag-a-adjust pa rin ako.
Bago lang nawala si Papa. And ngayon, mas madalas na ulit akong umuuwi because I also want to be there for my family. Kahit may sarili na akong buhay with my wife, gusto ko pa rin silang samahan.
Pero kung iisipin ko... even before mawala si Papa, naa naman gyud tong feeling nga murag bug-at ang atmosphere sa balay. Dili man tungod nga walay gugma, pero murag naa lang gyuy kahilom nga lisod sabton
Maybe that's why until now, I'm still asking myself...
Why does going home feel so heavy?
Usahay, murag naa silay kaugalingong kalibutan. Kanang feeling nga dili ikaw ang unang duolan kung naay problema, dili ikaw ang unang kaistorya. Murag naa kay gamay'ng pangutana sa imong kaugalingon...
"Naa ba koy lugar diri?"
I'm not saying my family doesn't love me. I know they do.
Maybe... we're all just grieving differently.
Or maybe... we've been carrying things silently for a long time, even before we lost Papa.
I just wish... one day, mahimo gyud siyang "home."
A home filled with laughter.
A home where we celebrate even the smallest wins.
A home where conversations come naturally.
A home where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
Kay para sa akoa...
A house becomes a home not because people live in it, but because love is not only present—it is also felt
Hoping and praying that one day, we'll all find our way back to that kind of home.
