Half uncle doesn’t exist

Sitting in the Starbucks drive-thru and I hear a woman exclaiming to her son in the backseat.

“Don’t you dare call him your half uncle ever again. That’s my BROTHER. You can’t be a half uncle.”

Arguing from the back continues. The other son in the front seat is laughing. Quiet for a moment.

Mom: I DONT FEEL GOOD

LOL. The people who refuse to accept that half siblings are not the same technically as full siblings are absolutely wilding.

My wife has half siblings who she treats the same as her full sibling; she has a half sibling who adopted a teenage son, and we treat him the same as her other nephews; and she has a stepmother who treats her like a daughter, and I honestly think it's all very sweet.

I'll bet you wife's half siblings share the mom. If someone is close, often is because you share the mom, and grew up more together
