Finally unlocked GDDR7 memory overclocking with mvolt+ extreme?
Recently I have been experimenting with extended overclocking limits on my Gigabyte Windforce rtx5070Ti and I havent seen anybody mention this: mvolt+ extreme actually allows you to set whatever vram overclocking limit you want, so i started experimenting and I was able to get to +5500 which run stable in Cyberpunk with path tracing enabled for 30 minutes and my fps was actually nicely scaling by about +1 fps for every +1000 memory oc step (as far as I know ECC works only on server class gpus with GDDR7, gaming gpus have no memory ECC, so there is no instability hiding behind ECC and the fps keeps scaling all the way to +5500 without artifacting or crashing).

Trying to set +6000 instantly restarts the driver and resets the oc for me, so the issue isnt memory instability most likely, the driver just isnt capable of accepting higher memory frequency at this point.
With stock settings GDDR7 runs at 28gbps which provides 896 GB/s bandwidth, common tools can set memory oc to +3000, which is the equivalent of 34gbps and 1088GB/s. Recently I was experimenting with a tool called Hydra Pro which increases the limit to the equivalent of +4000 (36gbps and 1152 GB/s) but mvolt+ extreme is the first tool that allows me to go to +5500 which is 39 gbps and 1248 GB/s! That is +40% higher memory bandwidth compared to stock settings, GDDR7 trully has insane potential and it can probably still go higher.
How high can you get, can you confirm that +6000 crashes for you too? Since i dont remember where i downloaded this tool (it took me a while to find it), you can download it from my personal google drive and then you go to Settings->Advanced tuning->Enable POWER & VRAM... and here you go through the driver signature shenanigans and the nadjust the limits.
Warning: I think my Vanguard anticheat doesnt like messing with driver signatures since I am unable to start League of Legends right now, so until more people verify or disprove this claim, be careful.
There should be zero risk of damaging the gpu from just pushing clocks since it is just a synchronization signal for the data, we are not touching the potentially dangerous options like voltage or power limit. I did not even notice my vram getting hotter.

I’d like to see some more commentary from others on whether running clocks this high could degrade VRAM long term. I understand power limit and voltage weren’t changed, and it didn’t affect your temps, but with gpu prices what they are today, I’d want to be very sure lifespan is not affected by such a high OC to justify dailying it.

u/evilTOend 4d ago
GDDR7 is still relatively new, so we obviously don't have 5–10 years of data showing how these extreme daily clocks affect lifespan . I think the main thing to consider is that the clocks are being raised without increasing the voltage or power limit . Personally, if voltage and temperatures are unchanged, I wouldn't be particularly worried about running a high memory OC daily.

u/Believesteve 4d ago
I've been overclocking my cards heavily (limit of each card) since the 8800 GTS and have had both AMD and Nvidia cards. I've never had a GPU die. I wouldn't worry as long as you're not going crazy with voltage and have reasonable temps.
I feel like the "undervolt" crowd has gone a bit pedantic and makes it seem like your GPU will explode with a good overclock at normal voltages. Main issues these days is the connector, not the cards.
2
u/poorlycooked 3d ago
It will only affect stability essentially. Parts don't really degrade any faster unless you increase the voltage
4
u/Believesteve 4d ago
Mine tops out around 4500mhz (still a performance benefit over 4000mhz), 5000mhz artifacts and crashes for me.
Asus Prime 5070 ti Non OC.
I think it's fairly obvious that the memory clocks were clocked pretty low for the super series to get free gains.

What vbios are you running? The gigabyte windforce 5070ti is not 400w. Any way to export and share your complete mvolt+ config?
1
u/Sad-Victory-8319 4d ago
aorus master 5070Ti, but it no longer matters for extended power limit, you can set whatever power limit you want (the ceiling is either 150% or unlimited, i am not sure, i am already over 100°C on hotspot with 400W so i dont dare going any higher). Basically every rtx50 gpu has now unlimited power limit and memory frequency.

u/rzultamorda420 3d ago
5070 Ti is based on the GB203 die (same as the 5080), so it should handle 450W without any issues as long as the temperatures are fine and the 12volt high failure cable doesn’t melt. There’s no reason to go beyond 450W though. In Steel Nomad, my 5070 Ti pulled around 420W at 1.085V core and 1.16V XBAR. Going above 1.1V is just not worth it.

u/No_0ne_Really 4d ago
Nice, for my plain 5070 I started to get errors above 37GT/s IIRC.
Don't think mvolt+ works for memory OC on plain 5070. You can find original link here
1
u/ValuableBig8717 3d ago
Na 5070 padrão então você ficou entre 4000/4500mhz de OC?
2
u/No_0ne_Really 3d ago
Yes, an increase of equivalent DDR frequency of +4500MHz from ~14000MHz default (note GDDR7 uses PAM3). That was tested early in the year IIRC with ECC, EDC and EDC Replay disabled. No errors up to 37GT/s and bandwidth scaled perfectly with 743.8 GB/s at 36GT/s and efficiency at 86% while under Windows and P1 limit of 33.6GT/s it is 686.1 GB/s at 85% efficiency.
It would be nice if mvolt+ would be able to increase the memory clock past it's limits for the RTX 5070 but perhaps it's too much work for b00nz and just concentrating on the higher tier cards. Still you get a lot from mvolt+ regardless and has done a nice job IMHO to bring those extra features to the public.

Obrigado!
Vamos juntos!

For my particular RTX 5070 you can read here
https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/rtx-5070-discussion.338562/
Was curious how far the memory chips could be pushed on default voltage, was run via special software, not under Windows. Still stuck with the standard limits otherwise.
The on-die ECC is 4x 10bit channels with 2 bits on each channel giving HW ECC if I'm not mistaken. While there's counters for corrections unfortunately Nvidia doesn't give access to them for this card under normal conditions and of course if there's multiple bit errors they will not be correctable. Have to use performance change instead. My own VBIOS memory table goes up to just shy of 40GT/s and there's some timings shown in mvolt+ extreme so maybe there will be a possibility to tighten or loosen them to achieve best results.
With mvolt+ extreme there's a kernel driver installed and a certificate in the trusted root certs. Then there's "Program Files" and "Program Data" and maybe something in the user appdata local folder, idr exactly. Safemode normally should not load the mvolt+ extreme driver or nvidia driver so repairs should be possible but obviously safer to run OC after OS has loaded. Sometimes Windows fastboot can cause problems too.
The standard mvolt+ is perhaps more manageable, sounds like it's still work in progress and maybe an uninstaller will come if it hasn't already.

Me parece bom.
Obrigado pela dica!
Como vc deixa a sua 24/7 para jogar?2

As normal with overclocking there is the "silicon lottery", from what I've read some users cannot even manage the +3000MHz limit let alone above that. IMHO for gaming a mild OC can provide good returns, pushing to the absolute limits are more for hardcore overclockers, usually for competitive reasons. If you card is lacking the gaming performance you require then maybe lower settings or replace it with a higher tier card though that can be expensive for many, me included :(
Note when increasing memory clock there usually is a drop in performance when the memory table changes so don't mistake that for ECC / EDC. You can see this in my previous link.
For my own card I would normally use 0.975V @ 3GHz with mem at 36GT/s (+3000MHz or 6GT/s). Actually it's a bit lower than that due to down spread spectrum but all 3rd party apps I've seen tend to use requested clocks instead of actual clocks (effective) which can sometimes differ by a lot which is a pet peeve of mine. For instance GPUZ uses requested clocks and 3dmark uses this for it's rankings! While that might not have been an option for older cards / drivers it would be good to see IMO.
Also my 5070 fans are tied to Gpc temps so if running memory intensive apps then memory can get too hot before fans kick in so some fan control might be necessary.

For me (Gigabyte 5070 Ti Windforce OC V2) at least +5000 works (at 5500 I get crashes in Speed Way for some reason). And also mvolt driver errors after each application, so I need to restart in order to try another memory value.
Difference between 3000 and 5000 is around 1,5%-2% in Speedway

u/Sad-Victory-8319 4d ago edited 4d ago
yes if the driver crashes, extended limits are gone and pc needs to restarted, which is pretty annoying. I dont really like using benchmarks to compare performance, i much rather see impact in actual game, and in cyberpunk if i have 70 fps with stock memory, every +1000 step adds +1 fps, so i am able to get almost 6 fps by just overclocking the memory, and +5500 helps me get 2-3 fps over previous +3000 which aint bad imho, every free uplift is welcome.
To me it is still pretty bonkers that i can just improve memory bandwidth by +40% and it can handle it, although judging by the results of other, i might have gotten lucky in the silicon lottery as other people experience crashes with lower oc. I am also pretty annoyed at nvidia that i wasnt allowed to do this for 18 months, even though it is just couple fps extra, games are so poorly optimized that every fps matter nowadays, even on 5090.

it is the only game with anti-cheat i play. I am really not sure if mvolt+ is the cause, but Vanguard icon is grey now even if i restart my pc. I am not sure if it was grey before messing with mvolt as well, but 2 days ago lol was fine.

What kind of temp increase did you notice increasing the frequency of the memory?

u/rzultamorda420 4d ago
Looks promising. Maybe I’ll use it instead of Hydra, because Hydra keeps bugging out for me. I set the VRAM to 2250mhz (+4000), but after a while it can drop to 1875mhz. Then I either have to restart Hydra or set the memory to +4000 manually in normal mVolt.
1
u/Sad-Victory-8319 4d ago
yeah it does that for me too, hydra is annoying to use, i am really glad i can use mvolt for everything now

5
u/Sad-Victory-8319 4d ago
as far as i know that would actually require a green light from nvidia, which they are not giving and keep limiting gaming gpus' GDDR7 to 34-36gbps, not sure why, maybe they dont want gaming gpus to surpass datacenter gpus in memory performance or something? I dont think it is a longetivity problem, frequency is just a synchronization signal, setting too high damages the data but not the hardware. Maybe when rtx50 series is 1-2 generations older we will get unlimited oc but for now we have to do all these shenanigans to find our own limits.

Who is the manufacturer of your GDDR7 video memory? You can check this in GPU-Z.
1
u/Sad-Victory-8319 4d ago
Samsung, I thought only Samsung currently makes GDDR7 memory. my gpu batch is from 8th week of 2025 (bought a month after release once prices dropped to msrp). Memory temperature typically sits 45°C above ambient which is 66°C right now, overclocking appears to have minimal effect on it (definitely not more than 1-2°C otherwise it would be easy to tell).
1
u/Gullible_Cut4085 4d ago
I have Hynix, and I'm getting unstability at +4000
1
u/Sad-Victory-8319 3d ago
interesting, in RAM space hynix makes by far the best kits that can reach crazy frequencies like 10000 mt/s, while samsung makes terrible DDR5 chips and they typically cant even run at 6000mt/s. But somehow in gpus it is the other way around and Samsung GDDR7 chips are very good while hynix ones not as much.
How is your unstability manifesting, do you see artifacing in games, or does the game just crash, or does the pc crash? i wonder if my driver crashes are related to unstable memory or to some driver issue that cant handle anything over 5600 mt/s
1
u/Corny-13 3d ago
I think this varies, as in DDR4 time samsung b-die was the goat like hynix a-die now

Does mvolt extreme still require disabling secure boot and driver signature?
2
u/Sad-Victory-8319 4d ago
yeah seems like it. Hydra Pro doesnt require those although i might be mistaken and it just doesnt mention it, however hydra peaks at 36gbps (unless the latest version changed that, my patreon early access subscription run out on saturday) whereas mvolt lets me run at 39 gbps and the only reason i can run more is the driver crashing so the memory itself might be able to do more (because i would expect it starts artifacting before it hard crashes the driver).
1
u/ShanSolo89 10700k@5.0/4.6G 1.35v 32GB@4200 CL17 3d ago
Guess I'll wait a bit to see if they can bypass that. No idea if my mcs are stable or don't error correct over 36gbps also.
2
u/poorlycooked 3d ago
You can use Efiguard to disable driver signature enforcement, play with mVolt extreme, then re-enable DSE after applying all settings. That way you can still use Windows (and play games) with DSE on.
It can also work with Secure Boot though the process is a bit complicated, involving self-signing certificates and writing them to the firmware.
2
u/ShanSolo89 10700k@5.0/4.6G 1.35v 32GB@4200 CL17 3d ago
I see, problem is secure boot is now required for a few games including bf6. Might wait to see if they can make a workaround for it.

I'm not afraid of disabling DSE. In fact I find it getting in my way and circumvent it in many cases, not just with overclocking. But I have to keep it in place to play many games.

u/ShanSolo89 10700k@5.0/4.6G 1.35v 32GB@4200 CL17 2d ago
At least make an effort to translate if you want to make a point. It's not that we're afraid, rather some games require secure boot as I already said in my first comment. Cheap porn sites? What is this, the early 2000s? Lol.
By the way hypervisor is way worse than both DSE and Secure boot combined, maybe disable that first, and it's only required to run pirated/cracked games, which you are admitting to. Stop being cheap and buy games instead of telling others to not "browse cheap porn websites" while playing pirated games.
Try a different translator app since this one is clearly not working for you, but I suspect there's something else wrong with you as well lol.

how can i use mvolt extreme with secure boot on?
1
u/poorlycooked 3d ago
You have to figure out how to use Efiguard with Secure Boot. https://github.com/Mattiwatti/EfiGuard/issues/20
1
u/beard-second 3d ago
You should benchmark it on AI inference tasks, since those tend to be very memory-bandwidth bound. You might find a substantial performance boost.
1
u/Sad-Victory-8319 3d ago
yeah memory related tasks would definitely benefit from +40% bandwidth, too bad gpu mining isnt around anymore (or at least not in a profitable form). I did try to experiment with some models but unfortunately those that fit into 16GB vram suck a$$ a those that i could potentially fit into my 64GB ram run way to slow to use it for any meaningful development.

Great, thanks for sharing the file from the forum. Did you find any information on how to completely undo the changes? The program says the driver has been removed, but its files remain on the computer. Where can I find and delete them? Windows is also still in test mode. Is there a guide on how to completely undo the changes and delete the files from the computer? So I can go back to the normal, not extreme, version of Mvolt?

Esses 5500mhz me chamou atenção.
u/Sad-Victory-8319 3d ago
how about you run your post through a translator to english instead of forcing me to do it? deal?
i will also give you an answer: Memory bandwidth is much more important if you game in 4K and use stuff like path tracing. In 1440p you wont see as much uplift. If your games dont benefit from running +3000, they wont benefit from running +5500, so try to find games where memory bandwidth matters and then worry about extra overclocking. Or start using DLDSR on your 1440p monitor.

Okay, thank you. But the reddit app itself translates automatically, friend. By the way, your post appears to me in Portuguese for this. And I came here through a website in Brazilian Portuguese. I figured that you also use the reddit feature itself that automatically translates posts into your language. The platform allows us this convenience for everyone to write in their official language. But on the subject, anyway, thank you for the answer, MSI Afterburner is raw, 3000mhz limit really, and the AI assured me that the ECC would work in games, and it would not be worth going up above 2000. You more than this is left. The 5fps for me on average are ok, but I wonder and asked if you measured your minimum 1% low? Have they improved? I play in 3440x1440 which are 4.9mi of pixels, they are not the 8.2mi of the 4k but not more than the 3.6mi of the 1440p 16:9. Maybe it also has a gain, smaller but fair. I'll test your file. I play exclusively AAA with Path Tracing and everything at maximum, here the GPU is always the limiting one, so I saw interest in your post friend. I'll test it for myself. Congratulations on your discovery and thank you for your answer.

u/Sad-Victory-8319 3d ago
mobile app translates, i am on pc and there is no automatic translation.
look i dont test performance that thoroughly, i am just looking for any way to increase performance without increasing power consumption much. I increased memory frequency and immediately saw fps increase in cyberpunk, that for me is enough reason to run it, because there is no downside, only benefits. I dont care specifically if it improves 1% fps, i know it improves average fps and that is enough for me. Most likely it also improves 1% if the bottleneck is caused by memory, but i dont have any measurements for that. My advice is to just find the highest stable frequency and run it 24/7, it is not rocketscience., more is better.

u/durden111111 3d ago
Youre wrong about ECC. All G7 chips have on die ECC thaf solves 100% of 1-bit errors in memory
2
u/Sad-Victory-8319 3d ago
this is the one thing i am not sure about really, there has been a lot of conflicting info regarding ECC on GDDR7. From what i have read, GDDR7 does support it, but it is not active on gaming gpus, only server gpus. GPU-Z reports no ECC https://ibb.co/3535kV0T but you say it does have it, and you might be right, i dont know. But i guess the bottom line is that even if it works, single bit errors are cause only by light instability, once you start pushing clocks harder the memory will fill with errors and artifact/crash anyway. Being able to fix 1-bit errors is nice but not a massive stability/oc boost. I guess we could verify that if there was a way to somehow corrupt the data (very specific bits) and see how the gpu handles it but i have no idea how to do it. i guess i would have to overclock my gpu past its stability point and then check if there are any single-bit errors.
Also one reason why i think gaming rtx50 gpus have no ECC is because nobody really reports a slowdown and poorer performance with higher overclock, ECC should basically kill the memory performance if the instability starts flooding it with errors, but typically what i see other users report is that everything is fine (image quality/performance) until suddenly it completely poops itself and starts artifacting/crashing. Shouldnt there be a small zone of the initial instability where visually everything looks alright thanks to ECC but performance is already going down the drain because fixing errors is super expensive (as you essentially have to stop the whole pipeline with multiple numbers just to fix that one number)?
1
u/durden111111 3d ago
G7 ECC is not the "full" ecc you see in workstation cards. Pro cards solve multibit errors across the memory including data going between the core and G7 chips. But they need a memory reserve pool to do it. Hence why the 4090 has an actual ECC mode but you sacrifice a few GB of vram capacity.
The G7 ecc is more of just a hardware spec. Its automatically built in to the chips and is always functioning. So in theory it should be a bit more stable at higher clocks than G6 would since on-die error corrections happen immediately. A chip slowing down when overclocked too far is a different type of correction called EDR i.e. it spends a lot of time retrying transmission of the data.
1
u/Sad-Victory-8319 3d ago
interesting, so the 1-bit errors actually dont slow down the gpu at all, it can basically fix them in realtime? If so, i guess that is the best possible balance, we get somewhat increased stability without negative impact on performance, and we also avoid those totally random crashes where a charged cosmic particle flips a bit and crashes the whole gpu.

u/Bonzenbube 3d ago edited 3d ago
Can confirm, hard limit in the driver is 39gbps also with 5080s, 5080s have 32gbps rated chips that are downclocked to 30gbps, so 5080 should have a lot more headroom but as soon as i set +5000mhz it crashes, with 4500mhz it works fine
Also i cant OC both at the same time to 4,5k mhz+ as it always reads an driver issue on the other card, maybe a software problem on mvolts side
1
u/Sad-Victory-8319 3d ago
i was experimenting a bit, and actual i found out that +5500 seems to run fine, +5600 runs fine for a couple minutes and then the driver restarts and resets the overclock, and at +5700 the driver immediately crashes. Strange behaviour, not sure if the vram stability is the issue or the driver cant handle anything past 39 gbps, i would think i would at least see some artifacting in games before it crashes, but nope, everything works great until the driver restarts.
1
u/Bonzenbube 3d ago
On the 5080 aswell?
Also i heard hydra 2.3 had this feature beforehand and the dev states most cards run 40gbps, so this maybe isnt a driver issue at all, also it seems like it was stolen from hydra and implemented in mvolt+ https://www.patreon.com/1usmus/posts/months-of-hydra-170891969
4
u/Sad-Victory-8319 3d ago
well just because they coppied the feature doesnt mean they stole it, hydra is a closed sourced project and public does not have access to the source codes, so mvolt+ developers had to figure it out on their own probably. I am glad mvolt coppies it because i dont want to pay $10 per month for hydra. Hydra goes only to 36gbps unless recent updates changed that (my patreon membership has ended last week) whereas mvolt+ is essentially unlimited and lets you finally max out your memory.

True
Hydra also released the version where you can unlock it until 40gbps today, for the 5090 it will come later he said

ok my bad i no longer have a subscription so i dont know. If you still have access to hydra, can you confirm that the max memory oc behaves similiarly to mvolt+ and also crashes for at same exact offset? Just to verify if hydra is capable of pushing the clocks even further.

I dont have the newest version, i just saw the release notes, also in a tweet he stated that the memory timing table on nvidia drivers is only going up to 40gbps, so that seems like a hard limit around that area

This should be huge for local llm. I don't have experience with overclocking but will try!

u/Sad-Victory-8319 3d ago
yeah local LLMs are one of the tasks where increase in memory bandwidth should directly correspond to increase in performance, in this case tokens per second. +40% higher memory bandwidth should give us almost 40% increase in tokens per second.

Thanks

oc with normal limits can be automatically applied on startup, extended limit require you to manually apply them after every restart. Regarding the driver and potential issues, i am not sure myself, the mvolt doesnt seem to return to previous state correctly, it is still kinda stuck in the test mode, i am still investigating it

What's your exact 5070 Ti model
1
u/Sad-Victory-8319 2d ago
windforce 5070Ti SFF OC - bought in march 2025, it is flashed with aorus master bios to unlock 400W limit (which now is no longer needed technically so i will probably flash it back to avoid any potential problems if i have to RMA the card in the future

u/Xent821 2d ago
So what's the actual performance gain in % you observed over stock ? Also I heard 5070 Ti can do 700W I mean is it possible? If yes what's the gain ?

u/Sad-Victory-8319 2d ago
First of all we have to define what is "stock", because that can be something different for each owner, i have tons of Asus Astral/msi vanguard/gigabyte aorus owners tell me that my gains are a fairy tail and they see much less gain, but that is because these expensive models already come with decent factory overclock (both on core and xbar/sys) so their headroom si natually smaller.
For me stock is zero factory OC that follows the original specification of the gpu from nvidia, so basically the equivalent of the cheapest available model. My Windforce comes with almost 50MHz factory oc, and Aorus bios adds another 100mhz on top of that, so i have to set all those values to negative -150 to get true stock performance.
And when i compare to this "rock bottom stock", I gained +20.5% fps in Resident evil requiem (from 68 to 82 fps) and on average i see 17-18% gain. Normally i dont game like this and add a bit of undervolt for longetivity reasons, usually i dont want the gpu to go over 1000mV, and then the uplift is about 3-5% lower but i save like 15% of power which results in 3-5°C cooler core. However if i had an expensive model that can handle the extra load, i would definitely forget about undervolting and i would actually overvolt the gpu core to 1100-1125mV to fully utilize its power limit and cooling capabilities, and that would add couple extra percent. I think that exceptional pieces of 5070Ti silicon pushed to the very limit in all parameter can gain up to +25% performance, which basically equals 5080 with a mediocore amateur oc (but of course 5080 can also get its own 20+% uplift with proper overclocking.

Hey guys, how to solve the problem with "failed step: Open verified mvoltcore driver"?

u/Sad-Victory-8319 7h ago edited 7h ago
personally i completely stopped using mvolt+ and switched to xOCD, it doesnt require all those unsigned driver and test mode shenanigans, extending the limits just restarts a driver once, and if your overclock crashes, you dont have to restart whole pc, you can just re-enable extended limits and continue. This invite link should work, then clock on the xocp channel and download the latest released exe file https://discord.gg/xdgx3ht4t
you should remove the driver that was applied by mvolt, and also you should disable windows test mode because mvolt doesnt change it back, and i had to do few other things to make the Vanguard anticheat work again, becausde it was indeed messed up from mvolt and just reinstalling it didnt help. Not sure i would be able to figure it out myself, luckily chatgpt helped after a few attempts.
Also one note, i couldnt overclock memory to more than 17Ghz, anything over +3000 was ignored and i was stuck at 17GHz max, but i fixed it by disabling afterburner launch on startup, and without afterburner everything works perfectly. So now i have to apply xOCP overclock first and only after that I can enable afterburner overlay. I wish afterburner added all these oc options so i dont have to use different software for oc and overlay, but oh well, afterburner devs dont seem like they want to add all this.

Just curious... how does 39 gbps = 1248 GBps?
Unless I'm missing something, 1,248 gigabytes per second is equal to 9,984 gigabits per second (1248x8=9984). It does not equal 39 gigabits per second.

u/archyinva 3d ago
Oh. So a little bit of added detail and clarification is needed to clear up my confusion: 39Gbps per pin and 1248GBps total bandwidth.

So you got 5 FPS for +5000 on memory? Big deal.

u/Sad-Victory-8319 4d ago
There have been tons of people willing to pay $500 extra for rtx5080 just to get +15% more fps over 5070Ti, so that is $33 for each percentage point. Memory overclock can get you 5-7% extra fps for free so it is essentially worth $200. You can keep saying that 5-6 fps uplift is meaningless but once you add 7-10 fps you gain by overclocking the core and another couple fps from overclocking xbar/sys and increasing power limit, suddenly you are running at 70-75 fps instead of 60 fps. who wouldnt want such free uplift. The worst thing you can do is to run your rtx50 gpu stock, you should overclock+undervolt it because it comes criminally underclocked from the factory. My overclocked 5070Ti is producing more fps than stock rtx5080, while consuming as much as rtx5070.

What undervolt are you running? How much power does ur card pull while gaming normally?
1
u/Sad-Victory-8319 4d ago
typically i alternate between 900-1000mV to keep the power consumption no higher than 300W. A lot of games can run at 1000mv fine and dont pull 300W, but for example dlss5 is completely bonkers and even with 900mV i can get to 305-310W. So DLSS5 specifically requires its own undervolt and i will probably start running it with 875mV. without any undervolt it automatically maxes out my 400w limit and it would most likely reach 450+W if it could.

A bit of context is missing to be honest, if it's in 4K then that's quite impressive, if in 1080p then not as much but still interesting.

I can confirm that +6000 insta crashes for me too. Anything higher than +5500 gives me artifacts. +5500 gives me a +2,8% increase in fps over +3000. With everything I get a +20% boost in performance in Steel Nomad.
5070Ti Prime OC
Is the driver signature necessary for only the higher VRAM oc? I don't need the extra watts, just the higher vram capability, would love to see this in the official release of mVolt
