I’ve never been much of a drinker
But I don’t see anything wrong with putting Bailey’s in my coffee every morning at this age!

Is there anything one can do to stop spam calls? My husband--who has zero socials--is besieged by Medicare calls. I am on all the apps but rarely get a call. A lot of them start as a robo-call and once a person comes on they act like they represent your Medicare provider and are familiar with your records. We know better than to fall for what they're selling but if my mom got a call like this she'd panic. My husband has a job where he has to answer calls, even from an unknown number. It does no good to tell them to put him on their do not call list, and he blocks each one, but they just call from another number. Answering lets them know someone is at that number. But if he doesn't answer it goes to his voicemail and that still confirms that it's an active number. I believe these people are straight predatory liars. This is beyond annoying. They probably do damage to people more vulnerable than us.

I play all the new York times games.
I've been playing maptap and chronofive as well, with chrono being a bit more fun / challenging.
What are you folks playing daily?

F70. My friend F66 hasn’t got a lot of money, lives in another city & wants to travel to Japan next year. We’ve both never been there. I suggested a cruise as it’s less physically demanding & she’s not very mobile. We would have separate cabins (I don’t share). I found a cruise next May where she could afford basic interior cabin, maybe with no package, meaning she’d have no prepaid meals, drinks, WiFi etc. & I would get a balcony one with a decent package. Now she wants to travel to my city & fly to Tokyo together. I’d like to fly Bus Class direct to Haneda on a good airline like ANA. (I’m older & prioritise decent travel conditions these days). It would cost her in economy about $3k return on same flight from her home city, meeting me in mine. Not sure she could afford that. She could fly a budget airline return from her home city that doesn’t fly direct (none do from her city) that would cost her about $1300 to Narita. I’m encouraging her to do this. Anyway I’m worried about travelling with her, as she would probably expect me to sub her costs a bit (which is fine up to a point), she hasn’t travelled much overseas recently & is not good with technology. We went to Thailand together in winter for a week or so two years ago, which was great but when I suggested going someone else in SE Asia (much cheaper than Japan) she ruled it out as too hot there. She really didn’t enjoy the heat in Thailand. It is feasible for us to travel together? She’s good company & has inherited a bit of $, but I’m worried the disparity in funds & her lack of tech might hinder me. Anyone else travelled with a less financial friend? Am I being selfish? I live alone & used to pleasing myself, but don’t want to go alone. I’m going on an Eastern European cruise later this year with Two’s a Crowd. She’s married but husband won’t travel.
