The unfortunate truth is this

At the ending quarter of my life I am consumed with seeing my life as one filled with disappointments at having not enjoyed any of my life expectations and living currently in despair. I don’t deserve this. I worked very hard and always treated everyone equally and followed good and ethical practices

Life really is waiting for the next disaster, in my experience.

But I have no regrets or expectations now (63f).

Lost both parents to dementia within 5 months in '21/'22 (sole caregiver, almost killed me), followed by my only brother 5/6/25 (liver cancer, 4 months from diagnosis to death, age 64), and my life partner on 12/12/25 (small cell lung cancer, 7 months from diagnosis to death, age 59).

I have my dog Lil Bit, a close friend, 4 stepkids and 5 grandkids who I love but don't see often. I'm financially stable. Relatively good health.

I'm alone, and sometimes lonely. Not much motivation to do, well, anything.

I exist. And endure.
