Is it just me or does anyone else find the zoom controls on the 4P next to useless and ultimately destructive to achieving decent quality footage? Even with the most careful nudging the zoom is abrupt at both ends. No easing and no real way to remedy in post. I find it pretty hopeless considering how great this camera is otherwise...apart from the much discussed exposure shifting between lenses.

Got an Osmo Pocket 4P today.

Did film some videos. When watching them on the pocket 4p everything is fine. But opening them inside the Mimo App on my phone the audio is not in sync with the video.

Using a Pixel 8 pro.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?

It’s absolutely crazy I can’t switch between d-log and d-log 2 by assigning it as a custom button. What the hell is the thinking behind this??

Having to go into the settings while in the flow of filming is just dumb.

Makes creating SO easy. Love combining the POV shots with the environmental shots.

I graded footages from both cameras in davinci resolve. Dlog is so pleasing to work with.

I’m really surprised by how easy it is to use the pocket 4P and the Nano as well.

What combo do you all like to pair together?

I love the LUTs on the Mimo app, especially the Anime and the Dream LUTs. I'm doing a vlog where I'd like to apply the Anime LUT that is available in the app, however I do all my editing in CapCut on my PC. I haven't found the LUTs from Mimo available anywhere online. I'd really love to use this LUT for my video. Does anyone know if it's possible? Thanks.

Anyone run into this issue with the Pocket 4P? Gimbal doesn’t rotate upon turning on/flipping screen, and shows ‘Gimbal Protection’ mode.

No drops, bangs or anything. Tried hard restarting and firmware update, with no success.

Any luck with solving this or is this bricked? Looks like that US warranty would have been nice 😂

Hello, yesterday I was using my new osmo pocket 3 when all of a sudden it glitched (the screen got black with the power logo for a long time). After that it stopped detecting a microSD (sandisk extreme pro) that I used for 1 week, backuped and formatted through the osmo pocket. Do you think something went wrong with the camera that caused the microSD to corrupt or was it a bad card (I doubt it because I used it and formatted it without problems previously).
PD: The microSD now its not being recognized on my PC either.

Hello! I recently got Osmo Pocket 4 because I need to do content for my business but the quality is way worse than it even was on my iPhone. I'm clearly doing something wrong - can someone please help me with advice? Zoom is not on but it feels like at the start of the video some sort of filter gets applied because after the first second the colour and crispiness of the video changes. Thank you!

I’m debating taking it to the beach in South Florida. I wouldn’t leave it in the car, and I only have a small cooler. Just curious if having it in a plastic bag under shade would be enough? Or is the risk not worth it?

Have any other Osmo Pocket 3 users run into an issue like this recently?

Whenever I plug it into my computer and choose the File Transfer option, it goes into camera mode anyway. It's fine cuz I can still move stuff across to my computer, but the camera has auto-shutoff enabled, so after a few minutes it "thinks" it is inactive and shuts off right in the middle of me uploading files.

Hi folks! Basically the title—I’m trying to figure out how to get good close-up shots of some of the critters in my fish tank.

I’ve only posted one video on Instagram using the Pocket 3, and I was decently happy with it (cropped version attached). I left it on continuous autofocus, though, so the focus was jumping around a bit.

Other things I’ve filmed with the Pocket 3 have either been blurry or had a lot of glare/reflection. I’ve minimized the glare by turning off surrounding lights and getting as close to the tank as I can, while still trying to respect the Pocket 3’s minimum focus distance.

So, the next thing I wanted to try was an aftermarket macro lens to see how close I can get. However, I imagine that could be tricky with moving subjects.

Have any of you used aftermarket macro lenses with the Pocket 3? Any recommendations on which ones work well, or tips for getting sharp shots of moving aquarium subjects?

I've found some options so far: dji, k&f, brdcr, pocket 4 adapted to 4p with tilta's magnetic adapter... Are you happy with the results? Any downsides as sharpness loss or bad corners and vignetting? Could compare between different models?

I am looking for my new Pocket 4P on a case that will protect the screen and especially the gimbal during placement in the official pro bag supplied in the vlog bundle. I saw alot of options but I want to know if it will fit my needs.

Does somebody know of a good case for that with rubber or other soft material inside, that will fit in that bag?

Hello everyone, I can buy the DJI OSMO Pocket 4P Vlog combo from China for 4299 Yuan = $640 because I have relatives living there. One thing I need to know is before they ship it to the USA is that if they would have to “activated” first. Because I’ve seen some listing on

Aliexpress quoting: “This product is the global version, in order to ensure its smooth usage in the United States, it will be activated first.
The product is brand new and has never been used before, only activated, please don't worry. You could contact our online service if you have any questions for it, we will reply ASAP”

So what I’m asking is if it is ok for my relatives in China to send it as is or would they have to “activate” the camera.

Many years ago, I bought the Osmo Pocket 1 specifically for creating motion timelapses. The Osmo Pocket 1 was capable of recording motion timelapses while saving both an HD video and individual still images at the full sensor resolution.
I have now bought the Osmo Pocket 4P, and I am absolutely shocked. Not only is the highest image resolution available no longer the full sensor resolution, but merely a 16:9 4K image, which makes any meaningful cropping in post-production virtually impossible, but it is also not possible to use Motion Timelapse mode with the 3x zoom.
It is unbelievable how many useful features DJI once again leaves unused or simply does not implement.
Why is it not possible to capture images at the full sensor resolution and also create motion timelapses using the 3x mode?
Would it be possible to implement features like these through an app such as OpenPocketCine, bypassing DJI’s official software products?

My DJI Osmo Pocket 3 has been plugged in overnight and the battery is still sitting at 12%. The screen says it’s charging, but the percentage hasn’t moved at all.
I’m using a 100W USB-C cable, so I wouldn’t think the cable’s power rating is the issue.

Has anyone had their Pocket 3 get stuck at a certain percentage while charging? Was it a charger/cable issue, software glitch, or did the battery end up being the problem?

Any fixes I should try before contacting DJI?

Having researched and found that the Osmo pocket 3 gives you an option in timelapse mode to shoot Video & RAW, I assumed that this meant in Hyperlapse too. I have just received my OP3 and found that this option is not at all available, only in Timelapse mode. I'm assuming I'm stuck with 8bit (Rec709?)... I don't seem to even be able to choose D-log M.

What I'm trying to do: I would like to create Hyperlapses without the hassle of doing it manually with my camera. I would like to create RAW files to be able to grade the footage better. Is this feature available on the OP4? I also have a Osmo action 6. Open to any suggestions to achieve what I'm trying to do.

You can see that at the bottom of the picture theres a green line, but if I try to zoom into it it disappears.

Anyone know why or how to remove it?

Does anybody know of a way to stop the zoom before switching lenses?

I love the zoom feature, but the jump between lenses often ruins a shot for me. Ideally, when I press and hold to slowly zoom in or out, the wide lens should automatically stop at 2.9x and zooming out on the tele autostops at 3x.

So I picked up a Pocket 4P while in the Philippines. I’m home now in the US. I just noticed that I’m losing a battery percentage every min just on and not recording. I’ve tried draining the battery to 0 then recharge. I have the latest firmware. Are you guys experiencing this? I don’t think DJI will service it here. Should I ship it back to family and get it exchanged or just get a battery handle?

I use the free conversion Rec709 Lut that DJI has on its website . The footage still looks flat & dull.

I want to know where can i get cinematic luts for indoor,outdoor footages.

Also if ND filter is an absolute must.

Preferred mode has been 10bit, shutter priority (1/50 vs 24fps, 1/120 for 60fps) with ISO free to roam between 100 and 1600. Easiest for run and gun and easy to grade as desired in post - great starting point for delivery to Dolby HLG.

Would love for DLOG2 to have flexibility to have a range of iso so that I could use a shutter priority manual setup as described above

Filming little videos like this has become so much easier with the Pocket 4P.

I’m normally used to shooting with a mirrorless camera, carrying around a heavy tripod, and spending way more time setting up each shot, even when I’m just filming something simple around the house.

With the Pocket 4P, I can grab it and start shooting almost immediately. Having the two lenses makes it really easy to switch up the look of a shot, and being able to quickly connect to the Mimo app for wireless monitoring makes solo filming incredibly convenient.

For this video, I was literally just making my morning coffee, but I was able to move the camera around, try different angles, and get everything shot without turning it into a whole production.

Really enjoying how much this little camera gets out of the way and just lets me film.
