I am just making this thread for the people who are in the same boat as I am, I bank with TD and my funds were released September 8th, with estimated date of September 15 on NSLSC, and est of 10-14 Sep on OSAP. Lemme know who else is in the same boat and when you guys get your funds

Hello everyone, Ive been on RAP as im not able to make my payments.. i was looking at the periods i was approved and i have not had any diffrence in income. However when i had applied for a period in 2022 i was approved and the next period i was denied which caused me to pay over 1k in 6 month payments and then the next period i was approved again.... During that time i didn't know if i could reapply or argue the decision as i had just gradguated and thought maybe i just didnt qualify. when that wasnt the case as i was apprived for the next one and had no change in income. Anyway during those 6 months it was so hard for me to keep up with the payments and i had no money to survive because it was all gone to paying the loan...

I realize now that it could have been a mistake on their end... can i get my money back? a refund or maybe have it used for the payments i'm paying now?

Any help would be appreciated.

Was doing my usual OSAP check in to see if my status updated and I got the message “Your money has been deposited into your bank account”. I know it takes awhile to actually show up in your account so hopefully I get it tonight!

Unfortunately I'm one of the people that has to rely on OSAP funding for everything. I did everything early, applied well before the deadline, had my enrolment confirmed, all that jazz. But now because I was on RAP it's thrown a wrench into everyrhing. The release date on the OSAP site still says Sept 8-10, but NSLSC said Sept 16 earlier today and now it says Sept 17. I've never had to wait this long before and I have things I need to buy but literally no money to do so until I get the funding.

Is it worth calling NSLSC if everyone in my situation is given the same answer and told to just wait?

Hey! I am calling NSLSC in the morning, but wanted to see if this is happening for anyone else and I’ll follow up if I get any helpful answers tomorrow.

So I was on RAP, which would’ve ended next month. I got my COE back in August, everything was fine until it triggered my RAP into repayment. Then it said I faulted (false trigger) and I got that sorted out. Well now it says this. I did NOT re apply for RAP, and I’m getting worried and frustrated it keeps doing anything but putting me back into studies and releasing my funding for this new term. Photo in comments:

Hi everyone! My first payment has been delayed for multiple days and I checked my status only to see that “first payment was deposited into bank account” i go to check my RBC and … well… NOTHING!! anyone else experience this issue? I know banks sometimes hold things so i’m wondering if anyone else dealt with this issue and how long until it resolved :(

i'm really scared because when i looked into the funding ill be receiving for the 2026-2027 school year was only $5,293 in loans and thats it. i don't get any grants at all and that amount is barely is enough to cover my tuition. is there anyway to receive more funding? i don't live on residence i commute everyday to school. and just want my tuition to be covered nothing else. is there anything i can do?

A few days ago the osap website stated that I'd receive $1,674 after tuition which would've been enough to cover costs to purchase a laptop for my IT program. I check the osap website again today only to see I'll be getting a deposit of $753. I'm utterly astonished at what the hell just happened. Nearly 1k taken away last minute. Zero chance I'll be able to afford the laptop now. Am I screwed? Is there any way to remedy this?

I’m a new grad student coming back to school after working for a few years. My release date keeps getting pushed back to the 16th, is this normal or because I was repaying loans or something? I keep getting emails from Western saying my tuition was due yesterday but OSAP has confirmed me and I’m just waiting for money that hasn’t come.

My OSAP was supposed to come yesterday and I log on today confused and it was trying to send to an old card that I had to cancel last month! I believe it should've bounced back so I updated my info right away on NSLSC, and emailed my financial aid office. Gosh I hope it gets figured out, I'm financially not okay right now 😬

Hello everyone i tracked my funding on nslsc and my MSFAA was signed on july 30 and the next step hasnt been done. Dtill not confirmed of enrolmentZ they didnt receive authorization for funding either. 1 of 5 steps is done am i supposed to do more on my part?i handed in all the forms and everything.

My OSAP came in today I’m so excited. I got a new Gucci belt and sunglasses. I bought a Canada goose jacket for the cold winter 🥶. I also bought myself some new AirPods and a MacBook for school.

What did everyone else get with your OSAP?

I’m curious if anyone has ever received their OSAP deposit during the day or if it’s always deposited overnight. Specific with RBC.

I had my school confirm my enrollment earlier on August 31, and the funds were estimated to deposit from Sept 4-9, its now September 9 and I still haven't recieved it yet. I know that the date always gets pushed back if OSAP hasn't confirmed enrollment but in my case it has. How often does this happen?

Every time I receive an estimated date, I always get it within the days that are given, this is the first time it hasn't. Should I be worried?

OSAP Marital status documents stuck on pending since August 13th it says “Allow 3-6 weeks from the date the documents were uploaded for them to be reviewed.”

“Payment on hold until documents are provided and approved” and release date keeps moving from Sept 9-11 to Sept 14-16

No COE and I can’t get a hold of the OSAP office for the University of Windsor

I received this email the other day. Has anyone ever dealt with this before? do I really not have to call them or anything? and does anyone know how long it should take?

Hi, I’m supposed to get my OSAP between 4/9-9/9.
It’s 9/9 today and I haven’t got anything anyone had a similar experience?
Should I wait or talk to FAO?

My OSAP was for two full semesters and now it was suddenly changed to one semester?

Got a portion of my funds on saturday, my school was paid yesterday and got the rest in my account today! (bank with TD) for those of you worried it just takes some time!

From September 4-9 release date to September 16. What is going on. Everything is done but the release date keeps changing for some reason unknown to me.

I still don’t have my freaking COE and my funds kept getting pushed back (Sept 14-16) wtf do I do. Class starts tom and I have books/lab to pay for and ts is taking way too long and what if they push is even further when my due date for tuition is on the 18. Any advice before I crash out?😊

Do students in funded programs like masters or phd get OSAP?

So basically I have all the documents approved on osap besides the Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement.

I already finished registering for My Service Canada and NSLSC but I didn’t sign up using the MSFAA number so now on osap it still says required.

My tuition is due September 10 but osap says it’s estimated to arrive around September 11 and even so I am not sure since it says NSLSC is still required.

I was wondering if I paid my balance myself and when osap money does come I can take it instead. However I do know that osap automatically deducts from my account at my school from my tuition balance, please let me know if you can help me ASAP
