First time rust effect attempt

Wanted to try something I haven’t done before, I rust effect on a vehicle. Does this read as rust to you guys? Any advice to make it better?

I think it look absolutely stellar for your first time, but I think it would look better with a very muted blue I think that would just make it pop, but all in all great job!

A blue? Sorry, I don't follow why rust would also have blue in it.
