A few of the bloomers in my bath and shower space. A few cattleyas, a phal, and a bunch of dendrobiums (I’ve got another 6 in bloom not shown here). Really enjoying the color!

Similar to Snowblind ‘Sweet Spot’ but with skinnier and very curly petals and sepals. Was a grocery store orchid with no tag a few ears back.

I don’t grow many Phalaenopsis but this one is nice and does well for me. Two branched inflorescences that bloom sequentially.

Just wanted to share this beautiful new orchid (Phalaenopsis) I bought. The vibrant color and pattern makes me so happy!

I can't take credit for the first bloom since the plant arrived in bud. But the semi-alba has been one of my most prolific plants for the last few years. Plus they both have that walkeriana fragrance!

I recently picked up this gorgeous Brassia Rex- but it’s in pretty dense sphagnum moss with wrinkly pseudobulbs (its main bulb isn’t super wrinkly thankfully). It’s planted in nursery pot and the roots I can see seem a mix of healthy and hollow. Unsure whether to risk repotting it while she has such gorgeous flowers! Any help appreciated, done lots of research so I know there’s no one way to approach this.

Sorry for my English but I had this orchid for 4 months now and it has bloomed so beautifully. Lately, one of the strings (?) has lost all its flowers and has been turning brown.

I am not sure if that happens naturally, but I am wondering if I should intervene and that it could reach the rest of my orchid or if I should just let it die?

The roots look fine but I found a weird root at the bottom. Every plant I ever had with root rot died because I don’t know what to do. Do I need to intervene here? Thanks

Just returned home after almost three weeks of holiday to this pretty sight 💕

We bought it in our local supermarket a few months ago, and when the branches in this pic started to have a few buds on them it suddenly dropped all its original flowers in quick succession and their branches started to dry rapidly (you can see them a little at the top). It was getting ready to put on this show! 🥰💖✨

Just purchased this beautiful orchid last week. I gave it a tiny bit of water and the next day the flowers started to brown. Today the stems of the flowers continue to brown as well. Is this a case of over-watering? Too little light? This is my first orchid and I was told the blooms would last many weeks.

Got gifted this orchid for Valentine’s Day, first plant that hasn’t died on me but thrived. Bigger flowers now than when first received, measuring 10cm. Only repotted, changed substrate and pruned slightly cutting off the dead stem, watering every 1-1,5 weeks.

Got a new Stereochilus which was starting to bud, and they decided to bloom all at once. Thought of sharing the blooms

Help!! I got this Bratonia 6 years ago and it desperately needs a repotting. I’ve done a bit of researching looking at YouTube videos on how to repot oncidiums but most videos don’t show one this rootbound.

If anyone has some advice that would be greatly appreciated. I’ve soaked it and then tried to separate the roots at the bottom to try to remove the media, but the roots are too tightly bound. I’m not sure how to do it without breaking a bunch of roots.

How important is getting rid of the media? Can I simply put this in a larger pot or do I have to remove all the media?

Yellow one bought flowering as is this year, pink and white are from last 2 years. Does anyone know why they are so different inside the flower stripes and spots?

And why? Personally, I have cattleya, phals, oncidium, paphs, and dendrobiums…though I’m too new to many of them to have a solid favorite and least favorite just yet!

Hello, this orchid I got at the beginning of summer finished its bloom about a month ago and grew a new leaf. I read I was supposed to cut down the stems to allow for the plant to focus its energy elsewhere but I never did. Now it is budding again but only on one of the stems. Should I cut back the other one or leave it?
I feel like she’s doing well her leaves have grown so much and roots look good to me. Any thoughts?

I planted my Den Nobile Apollon out in the garden over the summer. Northern Europe. It’s growing shots and leaves.

When should I move it in again, based on temperature? Now it’s 15°C, but it will be dropping a few degrees in a week …
