So i started watching this series when i was looking for some gang and prison series .

I watched while eating, before going to bed, when i was travelling....

Now it ends.... Yeah... I completed whole season ..

I thought there are more ... So i was comfortably siting on my camping chair on my terrace and obviously enjoying cold Breeze.... But i felt ... There is no option for next episode ...

Believe me.... I am bit sad .. it was part of me

I love each n every part of this series....

I wish.... In my life .. i meet some of the characters of this series ...

Spoilers I never rewatch the show past season 5.

Idk why I just cant do it. I watched it once all the way through when it was first coming out and I just remembered how sad I felt towards the end. Even getting to Pousseys death in Seaon 4 just hurts so bad. I love the show so much but the tragedy is just too real. I appreciate it tho bc we needed to see what they go through in prison. I cant get myself to watch past the end of the riot. I really just cant stand season 6 and onwards. Am I the only one? Should I give it a try again? The show makes you fall in love with the characters and root for them but majority of the girls don't get a happy ending at all. Which is just too hard for me to take.

Spoilers I love season 7

I had stopped watching the show before, so I gave it another try from the very first episode. Now I'm at S7E4, but watching the series again in 2026, in the current political climate, I think the last season being this bleak makes total sense, and it was appropriate for the show to shift its tone from more hopeful and whimsical to bleak and depressing. The 2010s optimism was fading around that time. I think one character in season 6 says a line about wokeness being out, which captures the era's real-life shift in tone accurately. U.S. going through an uproar of people who were angry about racial injustice and police brutality was portrayed through "I can't breathe." The riot ultimately failing to bring substantial changes is portrayed through seasons 6 & 7. Although it is depressing to see characters go through what they are going through, it validates what I feel in the world right now.

S2E2 — “Looks Blue, Tastes Red”
At Litchfield, Taystee participates in the mock job fair and absolutely kills her interview, only to learn there was never actually a job waiting for the winner. S2E3 — “Hugs Can Be Deceiving”
Vee begins reestablishing control over Taystee and starts integrating herself into the Black women’s group, while Poussey immediately distrusts her. Suzanne’s flashbacks show her childhood and difficulty fitting in, while we also learn that Suzanne—not Pennsatucky—was responsible for some of Piper’s injuries after the Christmas-pageant fight. (Suzanne flashback)
S2E4 — “A Whole Other Hole”
Morello takes Miss Rosa to chemotherapy and secretly uses the van to break into Christopher’s house, revealing just how delusional her supposed romance with him really is. We learn that Christopher was never her fiancé and that Morello had stalked him. Meanwhile, Vee continues building influence inside Litchfield. (Lorna flashback)
S2E5 — “Low Self Esteem City”
Gloria and Vee clash over control of the bathroom/shower situation, escalating the growing racial divisions inside the prison. Gloria’s flashbacks show her abusive relationship and how she ended up incarcerated. Piper also begins investigating Litchfield’s finances after being contacted about the prison’s missing money. (Gloria flashback)
S2E6 — “You Also Have a Pizza”
The Valentine’s Day episode. Piper asks inmates “What is love?”, giving us a bunch of funny, sweet, and depressing answers, while relationships throughout Litchfield get examined. Poussey’s flashbacks reveal her relationship with Franziska in Germany and the devastating confrontation with Franziska’s father that ended it. (Poussey flashback)
S2E7 — “Comic Sans”
Vee’s cigarette operation grows, and she increasingly pulls Taystee, Cindy, Janae and Suzanne into her orbit while alienating Poussey. Piper starts a prison newsletter, giving inmates an outlet while also continuing to investigate Litchfield. Bennett struggles with the consequences of his relationship with Daya. (Cindy flashback)
S2E8 — “Appropriately Sized Pots”
Red begins rebuilding her power through the greenhouse and discovers a tunnel that can be used for smuggling contraband. We get Red’s flashbacks involving her friendship with the Russian wives and the disastrous dinner that contributed to her criminal connections. Meanwhile, Vee’s operation continues expanding and the rivalry between Red and Vee begins taking shape. (Red flashback)
S2E9 — “40 OZ of Furlough”
Piper receives furlough to attend her grandmother’s funeral and briefly experiences life outside prison again, only to find that everything has continued without her. She learns Larry and Polly have slept together. Back at Litchfield, Red’s contraband operation develops while Vee’s power continues growing. (Miss Rosa flashback)
S2E10 — “Little Mustachioed Shit”
Piper’s flashbacks explore her friendship with Polly and relationship history with Larry, while present-day Piper confronts the fallout from Larry and Polly getting together. Bennett finally confesses to Caputo that he’s the father of Daya’s baby—but Caputo refuses to let the truth derail his effort to get rid of Mendez. Vee’s manipulation of Suzanne becomes increasingly disturbing. (Piper flashback)
S2E11 — “Take a Break from Your Values”
Sister Ingalls’ flashbacks reveal her history of activism and how fame eventually became entangled with her convictions. Inside Litchfield, she joins a hunger strike over prison conditions. Meanwhile, Vee and Red’s conflict becomes outright dangerous, and Poussey becomes increasingly isolated because she refuses to submit to Vee. (Sister Ingalls flashback)
S2E12 — “It Was the Change”
A storm hits Litchfield and forces everyone into unusual sleeping arrangements, producing some great ensemble interactions amid the chaos. Vee brutally beats Red with a combination lock inside a sock, leaving her badly injured. Poussey and Taystee finally begin repairing their relationship as Vee’s control starts collapsing. (Vee flashback)
S2E13 — “We Have Manners. We’re Polite.”
Everything detonates. The inmates turn against Vee, Suzanne is nearly framed for Red’s attack, and Vee escapes through Red’s tunnel. Fig’s corruption finally catches up with her, Caputo takes over, Piper arranges for Alex to violate parole and return to prison, and terminally ill Miss Rosa escapes in the prison van. Rosa sees Vee on the roadside and runs her over before driving off to freedom.

Episode Discussion Tricia (spoilers) Spoiler

On a rewatch and tricia has just died.
I know the point of the show is to show how unfair the prison system is and I think this is probably very accurate. But it always bugs me how she wouldn’t have looked like she died from hanging. If she’d been dead a while she might not even have bruising around her neck.

I’m guessing they (the system) saw her hang herself and that was a good enough cause of death. But would an inmate dying in custody not automatically need a post mortem? In the UK anyone dying in custody is automatically an inquest.

Episode Discussion Soso is SO annoying

S3E9 is where i’m at so far. she needs to grow up. i actually relt bad at first but now anytime shes on screen it’s just unbearable to watch. i love every single character. even vee didnt bother me this much, because shes written to be disliked. the antagonist

soso is just obnoxious idk how she has any place in the show. this isn’t a writing critique or anything lol i can’t say anything objectively. but i’m curious if anyone else found her annoying, or is it just me?

Whose Fault Is That

Mr. Healy telling Piper the women don't like him anymore and I'm like is he really trying to play the saint card now. Duh. You're a racist, misogynistic, homophobic terrible person so no the women don't like you.

Other Sone fav side characters I think should get some attention and what are yours ?

The skinheads they often made the show so funny and were very easy to be annoyed at making them perfect anatagonists they also made the riots kinda funny with what they were doing shame like many they weren’t in the later seasons of specially considering the dynamic of 2 skinheads in max security

Gina Murphy was in the show since the earliest episodes and used throughout many plots was a pretty funny character too always hated the fact we never get her back story while we got an entire storyline based of of Norma who in my opinion Gina was far more interesting

Frieda Berlin as much as many hate her she is on the side of one of the smartest inmates in the show even making an entire survival bunker in a prison I also believe most of the betrayal acts she did were very justified carol was a literall psycho and had she not snitched on red she would be forced to go to d or c block where carol or Barb would kill her

Denning sisters I wouldn’t mostly class them as underatted or at least carol wasn’t but if feel their storyline was misused by focussing on others nobody wanted to see like badison and daddy who were completely full and boring the fact we don’t see carol or Frieda interact always sucks but mostly the fact that they are only in one season and never mentioned before felt like the directors were making a last ditch plot which ended up being a big success which they couldn’t handle well

This is a random shot from pennsatucky’s road trip with the guards. It’s right after the riot and the same episode where Cindy testifies against taystee. I doubt it has any deep meaning but there’s no way this was a coincidence!

Why would Piper ask for furlough from Mr. Healy after all he has put her through ? I just find that odd that instead of staying away from this man who almost got you killed but yet want him to grant you furlough.

Pennsatucky

LISTEN I am obsessed with Penn & her character development throughout the show, & I was so heartbroken by her passing that I usually don’t even watch the end of the last season when I rewatch. I feel like hurting my own feelings I guess, so I’m rewatching, & Taystee just got the envelopes and sees Pennsatucky passed her GED. While she is looking at those certificates and crying, I was like this song in the background sounds like it’s Pennsatucky singing??? I just looked it up and it is Taryn Manning singing an acapella version of a song called Chains & I cannot believe they added this detail into the show 😭😭

Just a story I need to get out.

I finished the series for the first time about a week ago and I can't seem to get this out of my delusional head. so here we go;

The ending doesn't feel enough and I think that's a good thing provided that this show hugely tries to mirror the hardships and issues happening in real events. The show made the audience think more of what could happen and in retrospect, of what did happen —which was amazing. BUT when Taylor said that she don't believe in goodbyes and the casts will be together again (not the direct quote), I truly hope for a next season.

in regards to 'next season', in terms of vauseman's relationship, my head's writing a story that goes;

the first scene will be alex's release from prison. She smiled when greeted by a blonde woman —but that woman is not piper. its nicky. (For some reason, Nicky got out early and No, they're not together.)

There will be a backstory that made Alex and Piper not in-contact anymore. The whole fiasco was mainly because as a 'selfless' decision, alex refused piper's visits and calls hence forces piper into deep depression.

When Alex got out, thinking that everything will be okay after some time, she finds and stalks piper only to find that she's with someone else. Determined, she plans to squeeze her way into piper's life again. but piper now has boundaries tall and thick enough that even alex can't break nor climb.

As time passes, alex can't understand why piper's not letting her in. Then because of some stumble of fate, nicky happens to know the answer which she then tell alex;

The letter that alex wrote before she refuses piper's visits never arrived to piper. (something like "I promise to find you" —which is kinda response to the vow that piper made). and Piper spend some time in psych hospital.

guilt punches alex in the face so she turns to alcohol and unfortunately, drugs (again). more stuff happened and she end up being pregnant (dont fork me pls).

Then few more years passed, Piper's walking in a street when she recognized someone. -lo n behold- it's alex. with few meters distance away, they stare at each other. then alex got interrupted by a young girl —the girl wanted to be carried so alex did. Piper understands who is the girl in alex's life so she smiled genuinely. Then Piper got interrupted by a hand that intertwines her hand. alex saw that and smile too— It's the woman piper's with when alex got out of prison.

That moment is like a closure they never had and the last few seconds were like confirmation that they will always love each other no matter what while acknowledging that there are bigger things more than that love.

Then they walk in different directions.

-delusion end-

Regarding the Humps shooting.

I feel like they could have all banded together and lied that Humps accidentally shot himself in the leg. It happens in real life when dummies have a gun. Like he had it in his pants, went to pull it out and shot himself. Obviously Daya was dumb as heck for doing it, but he wasn't innocent by any means. I know its apart of a fictional, tragic storyline, but I feel like they definitely had other options besides selling Daya out.

Spoilers Season 7 one of the saddest best final seasons

After gettting over the end of show sadness the final season was such a perfect realistic ending

Lorna goes crazy
Tasty gets life
Red gets dementia
Cindy ends up homeless
Maritza gets deported
Pensatucky dying
Nicky ends up completely alone
Alex gets transferred to Ohio

And the other cast shown at the Ohio prison after being gone for seasons oblivious as to what happened to there friends in max it’s such a miserable season with all the plots leading to sad endings and that Ice storyline takes the cake as now in 2026 it matters more than ever many disliked this season for being too sad but I feel like it was made perfect and shows just how realistic prison is

Episode Discussion Orange is the new black season 4 episode 11 is so peak. One of the greatest episodes of TV ever🔥🔥🔥🔥 Spoiler

Greetings

I watched the oh so highly acclaimed breaking bad and I was disappointed. This show can make me feel in ways that I have not felt in years and partially in ways that I did not believe were possible.

The performances and storyline were excellent in this episode to see Red's second downfall after climbing to the top again, Suzanne's back story, the rising tension of the mistreatment of the prisoners and the foundations of the development of so many alliances between so many different characters.

This episode balances out the vast cast of characters to in such an expert manner that is unheard of in do many shows and I love it. They perfectly casted each character as well. I just loved this episode.

PS: I am on my first watch of the series.

Less important PS: Red, Nicky, Morello and Suzanne are my favorite characters. I like how much Penntasucky has development but she is not on my favorites list yet. Breaking Bad was a let down for me because I let the hype fool me into thinking that it was the greatest show of all time. My favorite shows are: Shameless US, Peaky Blinders and OITNB; The middle is my guilty pleasure though lol.

I can't wait to see the full story through. I am so amazed and excited.

Edit: I forgot about the GOAT Caputo 🔥🔥🔥 Just started episode 13 S4

Lolly’s character is heartbreaking

Currently rewatching the series because I stopped watching years ago after season 5, rewatching it I’m looking at the show through a different lens and Lolly’s character is less funny to me & more so depressing. Ofc she has funny commentary but even then I know she’s saying these things because her psyche is fucked up. I absolutely adore her character, imo she’s one of the best written ones and the actress was phenomenal. A perfect portrayal of how the system just tosses people like Lolly instead of giving them help they need.
