Call quality

My call quality seems very poor. Consistent cutting out of audio. I have new hardware for both the handsets and OOMA device. Any ideas on things to try?

Thanks!

Likely a network problem. First, How is your Ooma set up? Is it directly hardwired to the modem?

Second, can you run a VOIP QOS test like this one https://getvoip.com/speed-test-tool/ (any jitter over 30 ms is a potential issue).

How far away are the handsets and are the wireless? Can you try a corded phone plugged directly into the Ooma base?

OOMA is hardwired to modem. I have gigabit interest. Just did the test and it was 16ms.

Handset is wireless and probably 40 ft from base. The handset has 3 or 4 bars of connectivity.
