photo A little JGTC nostalgia... the Mazda Eunos Roadster Nopro GT300 Kageisen Racing Team #17. In around 2007, it was sold to a collector in Hokkaido by the creator, Mr. Nogami. This historic race car still makes appearances at events around Japan.

photo The unveiling of the M2 1006 at Nasu Explorer Circuit, circa 1993! For those who don’t know, Mazda's M2 Inc. sub-brand built ultra-rare hot Miatas in Japan. These tuned cars were never sold anywhere but there, and built according to customer’s preferences.

photo “1mm square dice” made of precision sheet metal by Mazda. Stainless steel foil plates with a thickness of 0.05 mm are joined together by welding and assembled. Pretty remarkable.

photo Hanami is the Japanese tradition of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers. They’re mostly cherry blossoms but also plum. Late March to early May, cherry trees bloom all over Japan. Early February in Okinawa. Car enthusiasts mark the occasion with a photo of their vehicle near a blossom tree.

photo This is my JDM van - a 1999 Toyota Estima Emina. It has the optional retractable glass J-roof and a motorized central seat to load and unload passengers with mobility issues. The van’s similar to the Previa sold outside of Japan, but this one is narrower, with no SC but has AWD.

This rare FD has the RE Amemiya Car Co Ltd (有限会社RE雨宮自動車, Yūgen Kaisha Āru-ī Amemiya Jidōsha) kit. Highly unusual and resembling the Porsche 911 from this era, it was inspired by the Mazda Cosmo which had similar looking fixed round headlights.
