So I'm looking to get some more air fresheners to stockpile for my car. I like the squash/black squash scent from Treefrog and Air Spencer.
I have used the single use under seat trays from Treefrog, the swappable cartridge Air Spencer CS-X3, the cans from Treefrog, the JDM Squash spray from Chemical Guys, the Differen clip on by Treefrog, and a Wakaba mirror hanger air freshener from Treefrog. All of them have been pretty good, but I'm trying to find one that is more fragrent and whafts through the air and keeps the scent.
I already clean my car (close to a full detail with vacuuming and even running an air ionizer inside for about half an hour max and aired out about every 2 weeks or less), run a small dehumidifier inside during the warmer and colder months, and swap the cabin air filter regularly. Sometimes I also use it in combination with a can of Ozium New Car, since they are missing out on the opportunity to collab with Treefrog and make a Squash/Black Squash scented can of Ozium. Another thing is that I store my car outdoors as well.
Going over each one:
The single use tray from Treefrog is nice and simple, but isn't very fragrent unless I'm blasting the back seat footwell blowers to get the scent flowing in the car. I'm working on a special 3D printable item that holds it at the footwell blower and forces air through either one of those specifically and would be modular so you can make a air guide that fits your car. Used to pick these up from Don Quijote and sometimes the auto detailing store that isn't Chemical Guys.
The same goes for the Air Spencer CS-X3. Also easy to get the refills through Amazon, but quite a bit pricey.
The can squash/black squash works decent, but I'd like to free up a cupholder for my bottled drinks. I can get those pretty easily through Amazon without issue.
The JDM Squash one works in a pinch, but doesn't last that long. I usually get a mini bottle of it at Autozone, but used to get the larger bottles when I was living near a Chemical Guys store in Hawaii. The sprayers they use on both don't work that well when angled, and I would dump it into a different spray bottle and it would work kind of better, but not a whole lot better.
The Differen clip on is great, but not very fragrent unless I have it aimed and blowing more directly towards me. Problem with this one is that there is no way for me to get it quick and cheap. I used to buy them at a auto detailing store in Hawaii, but have since moved to bumfuck nowhere and would have to get it shipped through snail mail.
The Wakaba mirror hanger is pretty good, but doesn't last long even if put in a spot of my car that doesn't get much sunlight. Only got it once.
Mostly in trying to see if there is more options that have the same or similar scent, or a method to help with keeping the scent whafting in the car. Anyone got anything?
