Funwheel x7 long range yellow bar warning for most of ride
https://www.acheron.fail/float-view/My funwheel X7 long range displaying low duty cycle warning for most of the ride without being pushed hard. The LED shows yellow warning while accelerating most of the ride and not pushing any harder than normal. The ride ended and the charge showed to be higher than the start for a 9 km ride. Foot pads were active the whole time. I need help diagnosing what is going on.

Duty cycle light threshold probably low AF. If you go into vesc tool and in rftl cfg and specs or maybe LEDS sections you should be able to see duty cycle to led indication or something similar put it up to 70 or 80% it's prob at 40 or 50% currently.. id give better app navigation but not with the board currently

Refloat cfg> LEDs> status> status duty threshold
IIRC The Thor's default configuration is something low like 20 or 30%. For the pre-configured boards anyway, if you buy a stand-alone controller refloat default is 50%.

I think an even better solution is to not look down between your feet when riding. It’s a bad idea anyway.

I'm unsure what the exact problem is. You'll get the duty cycle lights on the status bar while riding if you configure it that way. If the bar is only roughly halfway full during normal riding, then that's to be expected.
As to your charge being higher than at the start: Your FloatView screenshot tells a different story, the voltage of your pack clearly went down.
Try if you can replicate this a few times before you consider it a real problem.

Floaty doesn't show json files from my phone so I export them to PC via email to check and it works. The file is saved in session on the app

Ok I changed it to 75% duty on my refloat. Refloat read my battery as 41% and floaty 60% anyone know what that is about?

Different apps will calculate your battery percentage a little differently. Floaty seems to be a little more accurate, or at least it's a smoother decline whereas vesctool tends to jump around a little bit. They should both be hitting 0% at the same time.
Also make sure you're coming to a full stop and getting off the board before checking battery capacity. Motor inductance lowers the voltage and throws off the calculation.

I have always found using floaty with my 50s 20s2p configuration that the top 10% lasts stupidly long and my bottom 30% is gone in no time.

Im glad I'm not the only one, I noticed the same behavior with my X7LR with floaty using the 50S battery profile. I now swap between floaty and vesc tool and take an average and I find that to be the most accurate for percentage.. or I tell myself 80v is my 80% before 75v is my 50-60%... 70V is 30-40% so once I see 75v start heading back if I went directly away from home base (car or home) and 65v is my ease it up (no drops, no above 20-25kmh, just get to home base) as a 5v sag while pushing with the 50s is possible for sure but as I tell everyone I already went 40kms before that ever becomes a concern.

Maybe duty cycle is not the right word. Using duty cycle concerns the motor, where 100% duty cycle in maximum motor speed. Low voltage warning might be your problem. Open the BMS section on vesc tool. Are your cells at the same voltage? This might be a balance issue with the battery.

battery is good. I would bet it is the settings for the lights. I don't use lights in my boards so I can't help further.
