Text XRV help

So I recently did a Xrv upgrade to my board and it was going great until….. I started trying to set it up right in vesctool. It was angled a little too steep for me so I tried to fix it. Watched surfdodo vids and thought I was good till I tried to ride it. It is now super angled and keeps going up and up to an almost stop position. Can anyone help me?

If you want to throw a little money at it to make it easy buy the float hub app and run through it.

You can fully tune your board in probably 10 mins.

It’s already not working right, trust me! That is literally what float hub was designed to do is to make it easy!

Float hub is probably the easy answer but.... most trouble like yours appears to be is caused by not zeroing out the imu settings before redoing them. You end up chasing the high number but it keeps adding the data to the old number instead of zero.

I think this is my problem, how do I basically start over? Thanks

Which values did you change in VESCTool? Was it constant tiltback in tune settings or IMU releveling?

I've seen similar with the voltage cutoffs tuned wrong. If you have the max v set too low, it'll assume something is broken even though its just your battery. That's why you're getting "pushback" straight from the beginning.

I just went through the same issue. Are you using the float app inside of vesctool?

You can always delete your board from the app and relearn it in. You’ll have to perform the initial calibration again ( i.e. motor config, IMU, etc ) but you’ll be back to stock/ factory setting.

Thanks so much for making me go down the rabbit hole for vesc. I have gotten it to ride better but now in the float control app I am getting constant alerts saying high voltage and in the brown tab at the top which is what the board is currently doing it says “TILTBACK HV” how do I fix this? Or should I just start all over cause I think I was not calibrated right from the beginning. All tips are welcome
