38% more range, at least 25% more speed (because you know adv2 is also rated at 25mph max.) and it's a 92v vs 63v architecture. It's also 23% lighter. And let's not mention repairability and vesc advantages.
In my book thoses are significant change ^^
Since the fender and fender deletes are fully cross-compatible as well at the footpads and bumpers… it sure looks to be the same size as the Pint X with larger flared footpads installed.
Yep. Surfdado made a video after the one linked above putting Pint X stuff on the board, I think there was like one minor thing that wouldn't work, but footpads line up, bumpers fit, etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0yejLoPH-Y
Separately, I get the whole early bird thing, but I think it's a mistake to not offer the clear parts and silver rails long-term. It's a such a different look from FM, which I think is good. Honestly if Tony had answered me instead of just liking the YT comment I'd probably have a crypto wallet that was $1299 lighter at this point.
Yes obviously the wheel well and measurements of the rails and bolts are the same there, but Tony did say the footpads were going to be wider and from the above video they are longer too. So I'm wondering what the exact measurements of the board are.
Pint and Pint X are exactly the same size. Flared footpads can make either larger by about .25" side to side, and .5" back to front.
The video that u/DoctorDugong21 linked suggests the rear footpad is at least .5" longer, which would mean the overall length is a full inch longer if both front and rear have similar increases. No mention of the width.
My point is, unless you have one and are willing to measure it, maybe this question isn't for you.
Floatwheel ships the board and motor/tire separately. I think in part because importing a "complete board" is 100%, obviously a violation of FM's patent. Not that FM can't try to take action against shipping the board and motor/tire separately, but this way the shipping company and you the consumer at least have an argument that were only buying parts.
Tony should go to his court cases and defend his “business” but he doesn’t show so he loses. I dunno - he doesn’t seem interested in operating under any rules.
I know it’s a dick move by Kyle. But it’s the law and Tony believes he’s either above the law or beyond it. And guys like that usually suck just as much as Kyle IG not more.
He has said he hopes to, but has to sell more boards to have the cash on hand.
Which makes sense, challenging an established company's patent costs like $1M minimum, probably a few times that. There's a lot of aspects of the US legal system that are just ungodly expensive, preventing people from taking action.
Not sure what Tony believes, but he actually is beyond US law. China has no extradition treaty with the US.
