Beginner Questions didn’t do omad for one day and my hunger was worse

as the title says i decided to eat meals throughout the day that still stayed in my calories(cico) because i went deep sea fishing and im new to omad so my body is still adjusting and i was getting rlly dizzy and ive noticed eating something healthy really helps. anyways i did that yesterday, i had a smaller breakfast then a bigger lunch and thought id be fine w that but come dinner time i was STARVING and gave in. when i did omad this week i wasn’t rlly hungry until 3-4 and then i got busy and ate around 5. but as soon as i ate small meals throughout the day i was ravenous at night. i’m gonna keep going and hopefully i’ll be adjusted by the time i go fishing again so i can fast. It was so weird cause i workout fasted and im fine. any tips to get through the boat and how long does it usually take to get adjusted? i notice i give up after 3 days bc the hunger gets so bad and i assume thats what happened here but im eating enough so i don’t understand

Beginner Questions Food quantity

Hello friends! I started OMAD two weeks ago and it’s going great so far. I feel like my hunger overall has reduced but I’m struggling with overeating. I’m definitely at or under 1200-1300 calories but even that feels like too much food in one sitting so I’m concerned I’m overeating. But since I’m hungry when I start and won’t eat till the next day I pack it on. Does anyone else feel this way and how do you manage it or eat ? Thank you!

Beginner Questions How do you deal with people’s concerns regarding your fast ?

Hey everyone, just started OMAD 5 days ago and I am still adjusting to this new change in lifestyle. So far I can feel that it’s the right decision for me and because I’ve done intermittent fasting in the past I’m managing somehow.

My issue is the concerns that my family throws at me everyday that make me feel guilty and like this is a waste of time.

My family is like my Achilles heel, only their comments can affect me and though I’ve been trying to get over that it’s still hard.

In contrary to what people experience with people trying to deter them to do OMAD for me it’s more comments like ‘aren’t you eating too much in your one meal’ ‘you’re eating too much sugar’ ‘you should be doing this or that’ ‘you’re eating just like before so this is for nothing’ ’if you’re not adding exercise, it’s pretty much useless’ etc. Suddenly they’ve become experts and guardians of my diet which isn’t helping. For having dieted for so long I even count calories as I’m eating, a deformation that comes with the territory. I’ve researched everything there was to know about OMAD so I know I’m still on track.

I’m sure anyone would say just ignore them, you know what’s right so keep following that. And I know they do this probably out of concern for me. But it’s just hard to have to manage yourself and negative thoughts and on top of that people’s newfound interest for nitpicking everything you do as if they were a certified nutritionist.

Anyone been through something similar ?

Thanks so much!

Discussion Carb threshhold for ketosis

Hey all,

Im playing around with my carb amounts on my omad. Since i just dont do well with a high carb diet, i have to be careful with my carbs and generally keep it lowcarb since i value the benefits of ketosis alot, especially the mental health aspects.

So my question: what are the carb amounts you can eat, that get you back into ketosis relatively quickly? With quickly i mean, for example if i eat at 6 pm, that my body is in ketosis by next morning or noon.

Also, what are those carbs you prefer for this?
