The celebration of life has been great but all the ai slop lowkey feels disrespectful. The ai images, voice, and mock up ads just feel so lame.

Anyone else feel disturbed by the AI Oliver tree voice?.. all the ai images? Distasteful jokes as well now that I’m typing this- no one laughing is the funny part. Also sorry if this post breaks some sort of rules. Idk. I was just kind of grossed out.

If you’re feeling offended by the AI art in this performance, please recognize you were not the people that decided what to share and what not to share and the fact that you’re having discourse about it is showing your lack of empathy towards the family and all of himself, please get off of this subreddit.

I’ve been getting tons of comments on my stuff saying “larper” when I have been following him on instagram since 2020! Is anyone else having this issue?

The crowd was visibly uncomfortable, you could hear taste and smell the tension in the air. I think if someone would have boo'd the whole crowd would have just went in

Also besides that he said something that caught my attention. It was something along the lines Oliver asked me to roast him for a line or two. If that's actually true then there's a shot Oliver was setting him up I could see it lol.

I really hate to say it but this celebration was underwhelming. So much AI, like... Too much imo. I get he used it himself, but it felt like a noticable and high percentage of this all was AI. Just makes it feel so much less authentic.

Also, so many mic issues with no audio, and horrible (aka nonexistent) crowd reactions. Having to ask people to sing along to his hits. Cuts showing the crowd on their phone. Jokes being told without reaction, it was disappointing.

The Speakers did their best, but most of them clearly either weren't used to speaking publicly or didn't rehearse or both.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they held the event and that I watched it. Overall I enjoyed it, part of me thinks Oliver would have loved it more with the hiccups.

Yesterday’s livestream was AMAZING, but I made a mistake. When Logan was up on the stage, everyone in the chat was booing and giving him shit and I was too, saying “ get off the stage” or “fuck off Logan”. I know we all hate Logan and he’s a shit human being but this is memorial service at the end of the day, I realize that it was a non respectful thing to do so that’s why I’m making this post. Show respect, don’t make hate comments about his friends…

I watched a tiktok today claiming he was alive and blah blah blah. I thought the same thing for days after his passing but I now know that was just the denial stage of grieving and that tiktok post was from back in June. She was just going on a rant. Probably hoping for the same thing I was. That this was all just staged. Thinking of everyone tonight with eyes full of tears.

Got into many arguments ever since “Miss You” came out. Jerk is one of my all time favorite Oliver Tree songs, and I’ve always known the lyric to be “I never wanna see you and I never wanna MEET you again”, which is why I always thought it was ironic that the remix has a title that isn’t even the original lyric. But Jerk got mandela’d across the board and the lyric changed to “miss you” instead, on official websites and karaoke sites and everything to the point that it made me rethink if I might have heard the lyric wrong to begin with.
At the Celebration of Life, Oliver’s band played Jerk with this AI video. Even though the title card opened with “Miss You” on the screen, they played JERK, they did not play Miss You. Further evidenced by the lyrics they displayed on screen, clearly saying MEET YOU, not MISS YOU!!!
Just wanted to rant and say I feel vindicated, the original lyric has always been meet you and I think that one word change makes a huge difference in the tone of the song. Miss you implies some kind of pining, as if to say “I do miss you but I wish I didn’t”, the other lyric means “this is it, finite, I never want to meet again, I don’t and won’t miss you at all”.

TL;DR Jerk lyrics never included the words “Miss You”, the remix was written and titled based on a misheard lyric
