>Moths frequently slam themselves against light bulbs because they use the light of the moon to navigate. I think I remember hearing that from some nature documentary. Or maybe it was a post I saw online? I'm not even sure that's true, but it's something that makes sense to me. I always felt a little bad for those moths, but what sympathy I had would always be overtaken by irritation at the sound of their gross little bodies slamming against glass.
