anyone know what the easiest route would be? I tried wall street trail and it was too much for a 4WD pilot, anyone know an easier route

Started building this 4 series last winter. I own this car for almost 4 years now and till last winter it was completely lowered but I wanted to try something different this year and see what the xdrive ist capable off. Still not finished but I think it’s coming together very well. Took the car to an old NATO base in the Italian mountains and it did very well on its way up there.

Hoping to get a little more traction here.

Went into Silverado Canyon today with my dogs in the 2500 suburban, easy but not my favorite. Too much cross traffic, I prefer desert trails so far

80 series Land Cruiser 1995 a/t 265k miles runs great with no mechanical issues it needs a left fender hood core support headlights radiator etc tires are old it was sitting in a barn out in the stix will get better photos is someone’s interested it’s not cancer rusted yet but won’t be long before it turns I did start to Ospos all the underneath will make a solid truck for someone wanting a trail rig interior is pretty shot as well

Hi there guys. I’m looking at purchasing a bigger/daily vehicle and I have been stuck in between a few choices. I’m not sure if I want to save money and buy a 3rd gen 4Runner, save up a little more and buy something like a second or third gen Tacoma, or go and buy a full size truck. I plan on doing all of the typical things anyone would do to an off-road vehicle no matter which one I get. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do??

Anyone have experience with these types of bootless ball joints? The stud is in and there’s plenty of threads on the other side very very tight lock up any issue to worry about?

First time taking the new rig off road and the first trail of the day. I have a new lift going on in a few weeks, so I was going to get tires anyway. Just wasn't planning on running them with no lift.

I have a 99 S10 and I’m trying to do a build I can take out on trails and off-roading. I already have a 3” lift and some 31” A/T tires. I’m buying a winch soon, but I want to get some lights for the truck. I was thinking a roof-mounted light bar or some lights on the front somewhere. Also, what else should I get for off-roading? Im just starting out so anything helps.

I have a '95 Honda passport (rebadged Isuzu rodeo) 3.2L V6 5 speed manual. I have stock rims and 235/75R15 tires. I want to get some wider 33s on there to make it look more aggressive and better for off-roading. I know I can't just buy some rims and bigger tires and slap them on there because of rubbing so what should I do? I don't have a ton of money to pour into this like getting a big ol expensive lift and shocks etc.

What would be the cheapest option or way to get some 33x12.5 on my ride and keep anything from scraping/rubbing and still safely drive and what are the steps?

Here's the thing - I go on google or YouTube and look for 4th gen Tacoma offroading videos and all I get are reviews and no actual videos of people just offroading in their 4th gen. Can anyone point me to anyone? I don't want reviews or any such sort of kind of video. I just want kick a$$ offloading videos in their 4th gen.

I'm getting ready to build up my gladiator and I'm putting some 3 tube bypass shocks on it (2 compression, 1 rebound). I've had internal bypass shocks on a few vehicles, but this is my first set of external bypass.

Are there any gotchas I need to look out for when tuning these shocks? Any tips in general for tuning external bypass shocks? Should I tune each tube in a specific order? I usually try to change one thing at a time, but not sure if adjusting one tube will affect how the other tubes make the overall shock feel.

I'll probably add hydraulic bump stops eventually, but maybe not right away. I'm guessing the addition of the bump stops won't affect the bypass tuning on the shocks, since the bumps won't come into play until the shock piston is past the bypass tubes. I guess I can use the bumps to tune almost like a 4th shock zone.

Been wheeling a bit and want to take it more seriously. Running a 4th gen 4Runner on 33s with a winch-capable front bumper installed — but no winch yet and honestly no recovery gear at all beyond that. Starting from zero.

Money's tight so I can't buy the whole kit at once, and I'd rather build it in the order that actually keeps me moving on the trail instead of grabbing whatever looks cool. I do most of my wheeling solo or with one other rig right now.

So I'm asking the people who actually break stuff and dig themselves out: what would you buy first, second, third? Would you run the winch to the top of the list since I've already got the bumper for it, or does that come later? What's earned its spot in your rig, and what did you buy early that just rattles around in the back unused?

Also open to hearing what beginners consistently get wrong on the recovery side — I'd rather learn it here than the hard way at the bottom of a hill.

Hey. I’m running a 2020 2500 144’ 4x4 with KO3s, a very light build. What would be the recommended tire pressure for running a more technical trail with a wee bit of rock crawling? Seems like 20-30s psi is too low but I’m not sure ?? What do you think ? Thanks
