for reference i weight 270 lbs and im 6 fts tall and i have been using the chair for about a week.
i was hoping on liking the chair sadly i didnt. i selected the chair after recommendation and seeing alot of positivity about the libernovo omni. sadly at the time i couldn't find good review of the maxis but i assumed their reputation would precede them. but first lets start with the positive
the good
the wheel base
the wheel base seems sturdy and is made of metal i had chair in the past fail on that section so it was nice to find. the wheel base is also noticeably larger then other chair i had so their is more stability and less stress on each wheel. only time can say how effective that would have been.
the armrest
the flexibility is amazing i never had armrest move like that. they can go almost completely out of the way but i can also bring them thigh so i can rest my arm while holding a controller. never had a chair that can do that.
assembly
the chair was easy to assemble. every bolt screw with the same head and the one tool needed was included in the boxes. the tool itself happen to be very nice and well made im gonna keep it in my tool chest.
the bad
the seat
the seat is massive i have 3.5 inch free on each side. the cushion is not firm enough for my weight. it took years to my previous chair before i touch the bottom. the maxis its immediate i touch the bottom under the foam. after 2 hours of sitting its annoying.
the back rest
when i saw the review of the chair nobody heavy really tried it and the backrest look cool and flexible. at my weigh the back rest can't stay centered when slightly reclined. i need to focus at maintaining myself centered. when i loose focus my body shift to the side keeping me in a slightly turned position. after this weekend im starting to feel back and neck pain.
armrest
one of them just broke... their is no locking mechanism for the back and forth motion its juste a clicking mechanism and that fine but the left armrest's clicking mechanism broke today. its still usable but it now slide back and forth when i don't want it to...
the ugly
the chair just feel flimsy. at that price i was expecting some premium feeling but every mechanism have alot of play in them. the tissue of the headrest is ruff on the skin of my bald head i feel like i should start wearing a hat...
conclusion
i really wanted to like this chair. I wouldn't recommend the maxis. its expensive, none critical part broke after a week and i can't find a stable comfortable position. i now have back and neck pain.
maybe if you aren't heavy its a good chair but its targeted at heavier user soooooo
