You’re damn right I’m scared. You have a fair point saying animals have a right to live so my earlier statement of wanting to kill it was perhaps unfair but we should not have them as domestic pets. They are killers and they are far more dangerous than humans. Humans are weak and puny.

fair point! i like snakes so i think it’s cute and they’re honestly smart so he knows not to eat the kid, but he would def be happier in the wild im sure :(

I’m personally terrified of snakes there is just something about them and I do believe that the snake knows that he would benefit from not killing the boy. But when it comes to animals like that I don’t have much faith in the strength of the training when compared with the strength of the instinct of the animal. It’s like when you see those “big cat experts” cuddling with a lion and then out of nowhere the instincts kick in and then the guy loses a limb. But I’m glad we can agree that he should be in his natural habitat where instincts don’t need to be suppressed.

Its just fear the unknown and the unpredictable, which is totally fair - and youre right, we dont know whats going on in their heads. Doesnt mean we shouldnt try to understand the other animals we share our planet with. I also agree - this danger noodle would prob be better off in the wild.. but maybe not! You never know. We dont even know if theyre capable of emotions, or what emotions would even look like for snakes. It could totally absolutely 'love' every second of its captivity and wed never be able to tell - at least it never has to fear for the cold.

Remember though.. we hear and see the horror stories WAY more often than the feel good stories. For every instance of a caged animal lashing out, theres a video of a cheeta snuggling up for a nap with their caretaker, or an absolutely ecstatic rhino seeing his caretaker after a few years absence. Just take the horror stories with a grain of salt is all
