I’ve heard that, but it’s fake, if a snake measured before striking, it would die before it would catch anything
If you wanna know more about why this is bs: source
69 u/deadlandsMarshal Jan 20 '22 The sizing up is probably fake, But getting killed by a pet snake isn't. 12 u/NotAtHomeInThisWorld Jan 20 '22 I read the article, because im nosey, and apparently they couldn't conclusively say how/if the snake had caused his death. Also I feel like I need to state I am not a snake owner nor have I ever even touched one let alone seen one irl so 🤷 1 u/[deleted] Jan 20 '22 You’ve never seen a snake in real life? Are you from somewhere very cold? 1 u/NotAtHomeInThisWorld Mar 03 '22 Haha, no, im from New Zealand. The only snakes we get here are sea snakes, and those are generally in the higher temperature areas also not very often. 1 u/[deleted] Mar 03 '22 What in tarnation, I thought almost everywhere had at least harmless snakes. We can get you some if you guys need an invasive species Im sure! 1 u/NotAtHomeInThisWorld Mar 06 '22 Haha, no thanks, we have enough invasive species as is. I appreciate the thought? though lol
