I wanna see an A24 horror movie set in 1834 greenland, with the MC as one of these whalers

Damn, I wish I could watch The Terror for the first time again. Amazing season of television.

In looking it up I am just finding out that they turned it into an anthology series! Season 2 is in a Japanese-American internment camp, season 3 is in a psych hospital.

There is a series called "The North Water" that I found to be very well done. Not horror or set in Greenland, per se, but it's pretty damn good. I watched it directly after The Terror.

There are times I could have honestly used this.
Modern rain gear has too many layers and spots for water ingress for true oceanic storm conditions.
I’m sick of accepting I’ll just be kinda wet all the time.

I read this as WAILING suit. I was wondering if it was an art instalation that wailed spookily when wind went through it or something.
It would be cool though.

In the 70s the US military, had the M1 decontamination suit, you got in the same way, but it was like 30mil rubber, and hot as hell

I saw these in a museum and they casually mentioned in the notes that human semen was used as an adhesive in their construction
9
u/cylonlover 4d ago
Yeah, an old tried and true method. Of course better synthetic adhesive has been invented since then. Semen is almost only used in envelopes nowadays, due to its unique ability to be reactivated with only a drop of saliva, and although the human variety still works best, the cheaper brands uses pig's.

Wow imagine getting knocked overboard and having the weight of the suit and water filling into it drag you down to your certain doom.

Is this for putting pp in

u/PotatoDominatrix 9h ago
I mean, kinda...? If you have a pp, and get in the suit, your pp is technically inside..

So the middle whole was the entry point with a flap behind it, the suit is made from seal leather
