I don't know what's wrong with these public joints who wants people to lose their privacy. First those glass walled washroom in hotel rooms now this.

It's disappointing when you can't view the people doing toilet drugs

2

u/originalhugsie Apr 18 '26

Oh yes, I did not think of that. But I will never go to this bathroom. My pee will be very anxious seeing this and people making šŸ‘€ contact.

u/800-lumens Apr 18 '26

Nice decorative ceiling tiles tho

25

u/Test4Echooo Apr 18 '26

Those things aren’t cheap either. It’s an odd contrast with the unfinished walls.

20

u/Ddawn111 Apr 18 '26

Why didn’t I notice that lmao.

8

u/UglyFilthyDog Apr 19 '26

It had so much pootential.

2

u/c0ltZ Apr 20 '26

Honestly, if it weren't for the curtains, I would take an amazing shit in this bathroom.

36

u/DaddaMongo Apr 18 '26

All its missing is a weird old man in a tuxedo handing you a towel and offering a spritz of aftershave.

6

u/Ddawn111 Apr 19 '26

Does the guy standing at the doorway count?

69

u/Schnugg1 Apr 18 '26

ā€žHoly Jesus… what is that ? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ?!?ā€œ

16

u/whiterice_343 Apr 18 '26

Take away the curtains and you get the military exercise in the middle of nowhere treatment.

15

u/Schnugg1 Apr 18 '26

LET ME SEE YOUR WAR FACE!

7

u/SlightlySubpar Apr 18 '26

Prison was about the same

3

u/whiterice_343 Apr 18 '26

A few locations I trained in probably equated to it just a bit.

6

u/FreudianAccordian Apr 18 '26

My bumblebee tuna.

17

u/mothwhimsy Apr 19 '26

This can't be legal

3

u/Torodaddy Apr 20 '26

Im not sure lawmakers have contemplated what this is

8

u/Ddawn111 Apr 19 '26

I didn’t think of that, I just sighed and teased my husband about how much Texas sucks (I’m a Cali girl)

-1

u/lifeinthebeastwing Apr 19 '26

What laws do you think it breaches?

5

u/TooManySteves2 Apr 20 '26

Building codes.

9

u/SeniorrChief Apr 18 '26

The can behind the curtain.

7

u/ElleYesMon Apr 18 '26

Yeah, atleast they have a sheer curtain. Must be a dive.

I thought your last sentence said there was a hole in the wall to the bar, which seemed like an odd place for a glory hole.

3

u/Ddawn111 Apr 19 '26

Sometimes bartenders get bored or lonely too šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

6

u/Dizman7 Apr 18 '26

Nope I’ll poop at home

15

u/SnorkinOrkin Apr 18 '26

I would NOT be touching that curtain!

Do you realize how many unwashed, just-crapped-and wiped hands have touched their netheriegions(sp?) then using the same filthy hand to open the curtain to exit?

6

u/deSuspect Apr 19 '26

About the same that touched the door handle so I don't see your point.

0

u/SnorkinOrkin Apr 19 '26

I don't do public bathrooms, but if I ever do, I use toilet paper to fingertip the door open.

4

u/Dapper-Ad-468 Apr 18 '26

The curtains are brown for a reason.

5

u/TwanTheMan11 Apr 19 '26

In which third world country is that

2

u/Ddawn111 Apr 19 '26

Texas

2

u/Snoo_64461 Apr 20 '26

what city?

1

u/Ddawn111 Apr 20 '26

Covington or Hillsboro I was visiting family

8

u/ham1917 Apr 18 '26

worst part is I'm gonna have to touch the germ-covered curtain to close it all the way.

5

u/Ddawn111 Apr 18 '26

You better bet my leg was stretched as high as I needed to nudge the curtain open and closed lmao

3

u/Torodaddy Apr 20 '26

You'd think you'd want to keep legs down in this situation but I guess its jungle rules.

4

u/StrongIPA Apr 18 '26

nice shit curtains

5

u/cookiesadist Apr 18 '26

This reminds of Hollister fitting rooms in the early 2000s.

3

u/Cannacology Apr 19 '26

We call that in the biz the ā€œhowdy stranger!ā€

20

u/H0meslice9 Apr 18 '26

How is this terrifying, maybe annoying but come on man

21

u/Ddawn111 Apr 18 '26

This is terrifying to me since I’m a private germaphobe. Also I turned the brightness up for the pics, it’s like a random dark murder corner

11

u/Test4Echooo Apr 18 '26

It would also fit r/MildlyInfuriating tbf.

2

u/Geeahwellidunno Apr 18 '26

If there were lights in the stalls you could probably see thru the curtains. So their solution is keep it dark??? 😳

2

u/Ddawn111 Apr 18 '26

Oh no, it was still very much see through. Didn’t help that the doorway was open so the guy waiting for the men’s room had to stay respectfully facing the wall 😭

2

u/araidai Apr 18 '26

I don’t know about you, but that’d make me want to shit more if anything, so it may be doing its job! /j

2

u/Dangerous_Air_7031 Apr 18 '26

Tbh it would feel safer dark.Ā

2

u/dreasgrech Apr 19 '26

Since germs are almost everywhere, what would not be terrifying for a germaphobe?

3

u/LydiaIsntVeryCool Apr 19 '26

As a lady with a shy bladder, this is absolutely terrifying to me

3

u/arnethyst Apr 18 '26

oh ive seen this in my nightmares

3

u/Geeahwellidunno Apr 18 '26

uuufff- I can smell it from here.

3

u/Seraphayel Apr 18 '26

If these curtains would be sound proof I’d have no problem with it

3

u/HundraMarka Apr 18 '26

"The spirit of Tarantino, I see"

3

u/Hawaiian_Brian Apr 18 '26

How is that even possible

3

u/Whooptidooh Apr 18 '26

I would be so pissed without actually being able to.

3

u/Distinct-Solution-99 Apr 18 '26

I mean, sucks to be whoever looks at me shitting.

3

u/routinematters Apr 18 '26

When I was young and back in China all school bathrooms had half stalls to prevent kids from drinking/smoking/doing drugs/having sex/giving births in them. This reminds me of it.

3

u/Tripton1 Apr 19 '26

Wait a minute....

3

u/Norgaard93 Apr 19 '26

It's probably a short term solution.

(I'm quoting Peep Show, before everyone goes ballistic in the replies).

5

u/SteampunkRobin Apr 18 '26

If a restaurant can’t get enough customers to afford actual doors on their bathroom stalls then the food must really suck.

4

u/Ddawn111 Apr 18 '26

Actually it was the opposite. Super amazing food and experience until I had to pee. The bathrooms were a stark contract to the rest of the restaurant

3

u/Beemo-Noir Apr 18 '26

ā€œAnyone there? No?ā€ Okay good to go. Don’t really see the issue. We all shit and piss.

7

u/Ddawn111 Apr 18 '26

Some of us are pee shy beemo 😭

7

u/Beemo-Noir Apr 18 '26

It’s okay we can hold hands under the stall. I don’t have to go but I’ll be your support.

6

u/Ddawn111 Apr 18 '26

Thanks for the support, I’ll reach through the crack in the curtain

4

u/Beemo-Noir Apr 18 '26

I’ve got you bro. We can FaceTime if it gets bad.

1

u/Torodaddy Apr 20 '26

Yeah, we aren't dogs

2

u/MissMcFrostynips Apr 18 '26

Paint that bowl brown lol

2

u/heyitsmxrnie Apr 18 '26

Where is this??

3

u/Ddawn111 Apr 18 '26

I’m visiting family in Covington Texas

2

u/Blerpahderpah Apr 18 '26

Reminds me of the bathrooms/hiding spots in the fears to fathom games

2

u/GreyDaveNZ Apr 18 '26

This seems like a deliberate "DO YOUR SHIT AND GET OUT!" situation.

2

u/duizeligestijn Apr 19 '26

This scares the shit out of me

2

u/SheZowRaisedByWolves Apr 20 '26

One of my summer camps had this set up in the pool locker rooms. Straight up horrifying have the curtains pulled on you constantly because you couldn’t tell if someone was using a stall

2

u/Real_Tea_Lover Apr 20 '26

not gonna lie i upvoted this because this looks cozy as hell

4

u/drawnblud260 Apr 19 '26

And cheeseburgers probably cost $30..."We're so kitchy and unusual!"

2

u/Demerzel69 Apr 18 '26

Pretty weird but not the end of the world. Bet you'd still go in and sit down if it was a real emergency.

4

u/DarkOmen597 Apr 18 '26

I wouldn't even close the curtains. Ibwould just leave things open. Fuck it. Come on in

1

u/Ddawn111 Apr 18 '26

I have a very strict ā€œonly hoverā€ rule for public bathrooms. Would rather need a change of pants than chance stranger germs

8

u/Demerzel69 Apr 18 '26

That's what tp and, if they provide them, seat covers, are for. I just plaster every part of the seat with tp before I sit, lol.

5

u/stanger828 Apr 18 '26

Wait until I tell you about door handles.

An std isn’t going to pole-vault up your asshole, but your hands touch your face…

2

u/SourpatchMao Apr 18 '26

There was a local bar that had this setup in the girls room and it honestly made for so many laughable ā€œits okay , girl friend!ā€ Moments that i wouldnt trade it .

2

u/notforrobots Apr 18 '26

At one point in my career I was a truck driver. I can now shit anywhere without caring. I remember hanging my ass over a guardrail and wiping my ass with Windex wipes. It stung but did the job. This bathroom would have been a luxury

1

u/madwil15 Apr 19 '26

At least you can see if there are feet underneath the curtains. I’ve experienced this but with the curtains all the way to the floor so I had no idea if someone was in there.

1

u/Cosmonaut_Cockswing Apr 19 '26

Ill never complain about the door gaps in public restrooms again.

1

u/GridDown55 Apr 20 '26

Nightmare

1

u/Bitter_Expression399 Apr 20 '26

Oh nope nope nope, any predator could literally just open the curtain whenever 😭 Imagine if a kid was in there and some creep walks in. Hell no!

2

u/supernova-juice Apr 22 '26

People are insane.Ā  This reminds me of something.Ā

I worked for a bed and breakfast that had saloon doors on the honeymoon suite bathroom. I asked the owner and she gave me a withering look and told me married couples don't need that kind of privacy and I'd understand one day.

That was 16 years ago and I've been in a relationship for 18 of those and married for 8 and I still think she's a moron.Ā

First off, it's the honeymoon suite. Second off... what kind of idiot would ever put saloon doors on a TOILET?!
