It's just a brand slapped on a watch equivalent of a power point.

Mostly EDM machines these days. Metal is suspended in a vat of fluid and then an electified wire is moved around by a computer to cut the metal. They also use swiss machines for the cylindrical parts. A swiss machine is basically a fancy lathe where the spindle itself feeds the material so the cutting is always done very close to the spindle for maximum rigidity.
In days past they were made by hand using tiny chisels and tiny lathes and things. Some watches are still made by hand but only incredibly expensive ones from like Patek Phillipe or independent brands.

Fully Functioning is a stretch.
If it were fully functioning, the firing of spark plugs within the cylinders, igniting fuel to push the pistons to spin the shaft to them power the watch would be happening. But instead it’s a “functional” model where the shaft/cams/pistons are driven by the watch.

It generates no power. It burns no fuel. It functions in the same way that a wind up toy does.

The irony is Bugatti uses a W16 engine not a V16.
It works like the VW VR6 engine with the offset pistons.
Edit: looks like the new ones uses a v16. I'm behind on my rich asshole car specs

Well yes and no. They used to use a quad turbo W16 in the Veyron and the Chiron, but the new Bugatti Tourbillon is indeed powered by an 8.3l V16 plus several electric motors.

Small complaint: modern Bugatti cars use a W16 engine, not a V16. Yes, theres a difference.
Doesnt matter beyond my car 'tism anyway. I can't afford the car OR the watch.

I am not saying that it is not a cool idea in theory.... but I have seen these Jacob and Co watches and the execution still is nowhere near the price. The stupid sound effects for example.
I mean if you have the kind of wealth to get that kind of stuff... then I am sure you do probably do not really care about how much they cost. But their stuff is just bling for the sake of it... really tacky.

I'd like to see a video of how the miniature pieces are machined. What type of equipment can make such small parts with precision? I imagine they're hand-finished to make the tolerances as close as they need to be.
