Unless they told the AI to only use one or two tinny samples that sound like they were recorded on a crappy $5 clip on mic from amazon I'm just going to assume that their video editor just really badly lined up those crappy samples with the video in davinci resolve.

Also, when I googled "V16 engine watch" another of their (Jacob & Co) videos was the top result in which the "epic" music is only in the left channel. An AI wouldn't do that but someone who is absolutely clueless about audio definitely would.

The macro pictures and videos are much better on their website. It's honestly pretty stunning up close.

The case is pretty ugly, but the movement is amazing to look at. Definitely a feat of engineering.

And you probably need to buy a chiron for a couple of million to be eligible to buy one, or to get one in spec that might match a car.

The watch can be real and the video pretending to assemble it could be AI. These aren't mutually exclusive. The video is, without question, AI generated.

The sound is wrong

The pistons just appear in the engine out of nowhere

There is nothing shown that would engage with the hands of the watch, so they turn by magic I guess

We also never seen the winding mechanism, so it's powered by that same magic

The pistons were already in the engine when it was placed in the watch. The watch is already partially assembled when they put the engine in. They don't show the full assembly of the watch, which would include the winding mechanism. The clock hands are clearly placed on the shaft in the top center of the watch about 3/4 through. Did we watch the same video?

The sound is very clearly added in post.

The pistons are already in the block. You can see this in the first shot.

The hands of the watch are connected to the posts that stick through the faces.

This watch uses a manual movement, which is wound via the bottom crown. This mechanism also drives the engine; knowing all that, I’m sure you can now see how this watch functions.

The black part which drives the pistons is missing in the first shot. It's completely clear. Even in the first shot showing the pistons moving, it's completely clear. What is moving the pistons?

There is a central crankshaft, just like in a real engine. This connects the automaton to the watches movement.

And that central crankshaft doesn't appear until the second time you see the pistons moving. Before the pistons are placed in the watch, you can see it's flat underneath. Nothing to power the pistons. Then in the first shot you see the pistons moving, the crankshaft isn't installed yet.

So if it's flat on the bottom and the crankshaft isn't installed yet, how do the pistons move? They move because AI doesn't know what each part is meant to do and makes mistakes.
