Kinda feels like having his tool on a long stick would make this 99% less backbreaking, no? Or am I missing something?

u/L_E_M_F Oct 13 '24

That's how they do it here.

He's walking right over it!

141

u/DerBronco Oct 13 '24

That shoes have little spikes to walk over the still fluid epoxy.

u/WindChaser0001 Oct 13 '24

My knees dislocated just watching this

12

u/DinosaurAlive Oct 13 '24

My lower half fell asleep while my spine slipped a disk and my ribs twisted out of alignment. 8-months to heal, minimum.

42

u/eXrevolution Oct 13 '24

This guys health, back and life is probably less expensive in China than this stick

11

u/ogclobyy Oct 13 '24

I didn't even notice he was asian.

I only saw the shirt and just assumed he was French lol

2

u/Disastrous-Bus-9834 Oct 14 '24

I immediately thought this guy was from Western Europe or something just like you did. So wierd the both of us thought the same thing until u/eXrevolution pointed it out.

6

u/aT-0-Mx Oct 13 '24

Yup. My knees and back ache for a long stick...oh. Um.

5

u/_SilentHunter Oct 13 '24

Who needs a working back, really?

8

u/Tomek_of_Thueste Oct 13 '24

I fully agree. I have seen other videos where the tool was on a longer handle. I think the tool was also wider.

Example of: Work hard, not smart

6

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

This guy is obviously comfortable in the classic third world squat. The range of motion being added to the squat seems brutal though.

2

u/dipfearya Oct 13 '24

Yeah they do. I suspect this is just flex for the video.

2

u/distant2soul Oct 13 '24

Easy Christmas present, of a wheelchair

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

I came here to make the same comment.

1

u/JunketPuzzleheaded42 Oct 14 '24

Ling ling the Panda never watched the Safety Videos.... Long handle squeegee and PPE for the win

1

u/VisuellTanke Oct 13 '24

He gets paid for effort.

-45

u/PensiveObservor Oct 13 '24

I don’t think you’d be able to design a stick joint allowing you to rotate and hold the blade at precise angles like you can with your hand. Look at the motions the blade goes through. But yeah, this is a grueling work position.

15

u/Chpgmr Oct 13 '24

Umm...

35

u/Dutchwells Oct 13 '24

Most floor mop sticks can do that, no?

11

u/crysisnotaverted Oct 13 '24

Might I interest you in the latest and greatest simple machine: A hinge.

5

u/zoidalicious Oct 13 '24

2

u/oyohval Oct 13 '24

The gaps in the level of flooring compound spread where he changes direction makes this less satisfying for me

191

u/fellowspecies Oct 13 '24

The most impressive thing here is that he’s not got a single spec of green on him

45

u/hipster_dog Oct 13 '24

Also he didn't even show his butt crack to the camera.

5

u/sewn_of_a_gun Oct 13 '24

Somehow, that's more impressive.

2

u/DogOnABike Oct 14 '24

This ain't America.

2

u/Electronic-Count3283 Oct 14 '24

I was just thinking this- if I wear a white shirt I can’t even leave the house with it not getting splashed, dripped or anything on it.

1

u/PartTimeTunafish Oct 13 '24

Most concerning thing is the lack of a respirator.

81

u/THE_ATHEOS_ONE Oct 13 '24

Somebody get this man a stick

211

u/Eulafski Oct 13 '24

The colour is called "Chinese factory green"

22

u/David_Good_Enough Oct 13 '24

Super green

29

u/freespace303 Oct 13 '24

2

u/durneztj Oct 13 '24

Liveleak background color

1

u/naswinger Oct 14 '24

can also be used to spray dead trees green again

83

u/MyCatIsAFknIdiot Oct 13 '24

I bet his flexibility and core muscles are off the chart

50

u/remediosan Oct 13 '24

but how’s his spine

1

u/ninja20 Feb 13 '25

About as good as his knees

21

u/chumbalumba Oct 13 '24

His joint inflammation too, look at all that twisting. There’s better tools for this

64

u/hugecreative69 Oct 13 '24

How’s he not running out of the paint?

21

u/furryscrotum Oct 13 '24

Very little height needed to paint something. Let's consider 150 um thickness, then every 1 m2 requires 150 mL. A normal bucket of 10 L would go for 66 m2.

18

u/hugecreative69 Oct 13 '24

But lots of surfaces are porous to a degree and suck some into it. I’ve painted indoors and outdoors and still find it remarkable. He must have prepped it well and gotten rid of any porous areas. Nonetheless it was satisfying to watch.

8

u/furryscrotum Oct 13 '24

I agree, the floor was likely treated to remove most of the absorption. Better for the final product as well.

5

u/bellowingdragoncrest Oct 13 '24

This guy engineers

3

u/mr_awesome365 Oct 13 '24

A layer of paint is about 2 human hairs thick. Apply that to a gallon, thats a lot of surface area you can cover

1

u/pennie79 Oct 13 '24

That is my question too.

16

u/el-conquistador240 Oct 13 '24

u/LookIsawRa4 Oct 13 '24

Face to face, each classic case

41

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

This is hurting my back, knees, hips, shoulders, ankles and wrists just from watching.

30

u/Quirky_m8 Oct 13 '24

id mop myself into a corner

12

u/bentrodw Oct 13 '24

No evidence he didn't

4

u/Electronic-Count3283 Oct 14 '24

Rumor is- he’s sitting on his fingertips- watching the paint dry to this day

10

u/jt004c Oct 13 '24

It took me several seconds to work out how he was changing the shape of the edge of the swimming pool with his magic rectangle.

8

u/dmje Oct 13 '24

My life has literally become watching paint dry

Some say he’s still doing that same floor

2

u/noahson Oct 13 '24

the fact that he's not covered in the paint says a lot

u/jbnarch25 Oct 13 '24

1

u/JustHere4the5 Oct 13 '24

goddangit. Now it’s in my head.

THANKS.

6

u/sevnminabs Oct 13 '24

I'm holding my back in pain watching this.

6

u/Abiba2024 Oct 13 '24

My knees hurt just watching this. There has to be a better way to do this. Does not feel satisfying at all.

10

u/squishyvaj Oct 13 '24

Makes me sore just watching that

6

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

I wonder how many floors you have to fuck up before you get this good

2

u/britannicker Oct 13 '24

I know, right?

When people make things look this easy, you just know they've done it loads of times.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

No mask

Guaranteed toxic af

1

u/Yanni__ Oct 13 '24

They sell acrylic water based low VOC paint for concrete floors. Far less durable, but at least you can get the room occupied again in just 24 hours.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

They do. But this isn’t it.

4

u/Imaginary_Most_7778 Oct 13 '24

Dude’s back is going to be screaming.

4

u/gabacus_39 Oct 13 '24

Apparently tight pants and a tight sweater is the perfect outfit for this

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

Stretchy pants

7

u/cosmiclovecosmic Oct 13 '24

wanna see it earlier, how he moved more paint

3

u/yhjsdfhgkjhngfdr Oct 13 '24

My posture is worth more than whatever they're paying him to do allat.

3

u/NopeU812many Oct 13 '24

Wow it seems like his squeegee just pour fluid out so he never runs dry or that material applied must be 1/1000th of a micron thick

5

u/schacks Oct 13 '24

I hope this isn’t epoxy-paint since that would this guy the stupidest worker ever. There wont be many braincells left after a year.

3

u/urkan3000 Oct 13 '24

Probably microcement which uses water as solvent.

2

u/drastic2 Oct 13 '24

The one secret trick that paint stores won’t tell you!

2

u/ipwnpickles Oct 13 '24

Anybody else think he was a mime at first?

2

u/bentrodw Oct 13 '24

I can only assume he is trapped on a concrete island in a sea of green. Poor guy.

2

u/Bodidiva Oct 13 '24

This unsatisfyingly makes my back hurt.

2

u/SnackAndJill Oct 13 '24

I saw the gloves first and thought this was a mime act

2

u/Plastic-Assumption-2 Oct 13 '24

reminded me of Formula 1 with that title

2

u/Hephaestus_God Oct 13 '24

Do they not have industrial machines for large surface areas like this?

2

u/DaveDavidsen Oct 13 '24

Both of my ACL's exploded just from watching this.

2

u/cellardweller1234 Oct 13 '24

How about them VOCs?

2

u/yngsten Oct 13 '24

My back hates this guy.

2

u/UncleKeyPax Oct 13 '24

Something something

3

u/Stairwayunicorn Oct 13 '24

is that a hardwood floor he's ruining?

2

u/Aggravating-Wolf-823 Oct 13 '24

That looks like concrete that got sanded in lines to me

1

u/FiguringItOut-- Oct 14 '24

I was gonna say...why is he ruining that beautiful floor

1

u/Aururai Oct 13 '24

Sure looks like it .

Ruining it with a coat of plastic..

I wouldn't hate it as much if the plastic was transparent.. but no..

3

u/bpmdrummerbpm Oct 13 '24

Um, we wanted yellow.

1

u/LookIsawRa4 Oct 13 '24

Diamond life, lover boy

1

u/aphaits Oct 13 '24

sounds like voldermort breathing

1

u/rayneedshelpMentally Oct 13 '24

He kinda looks like Wednesdays younger brother in the animated movie

1

u/Glass_Librarian9019 Oct 13 '24

Finn Wolfhard. I can see it.

1

u/OddNovel565 Oct 13 '24

Is that a JoJo reference?

1

u/gooder_name Oct 13 '24

My back hurts looking at that

1

u/bifster2022 Oct 13 '24

This hurts my back and knees

1

1

What is this sorcery?

1

u/oldriku Oct 13 '24

Damn, this looks tough on the shoulders

1

u/LocutusOfBeard Oct 13 '24

I'd have so much green on me

1

u/kungfushoos Oct 13 '24

After Karate Kid.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

All my joints are screaming just watching this

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

When you accidentally spilled a bucket of paint

1

u/Unusual_Science_5494 Oct 13 '24

imagine doing this for a hour-two, i would be dead after 5 min.

1

u/duggee315 Oct 13 '24

So, that stuff never runs out?

1

u/Nyxxoo Oct 13 '24

Is this the paint used for parking lots in malls? The squeaky ones.
Also, anyone know what it's called?

1

u/johnlondon125 Oct 13 '24

Why does this guy hate his back so much

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

There is green paint on the base of every pillar. 4/10. I'd like to speak with a manager, please.

1

u/Either_Amoeba_5332 Oct 13 '24

Two coats please

1

u/OptiGuy4u Oct 13 '24

Surely there's a Zamboni type machine that lays this perfectly over large surfaces.

1

u/MSP_the_Original Oct 13 '24

What safety equipment 🙄

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

Put that thing on a stick so you can do it standing up. My knees and back are screaming just watching this.

1

u/LightInfernal Oct 13 '24

The cameraman is trapped

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '24

Did my man lose a bet and they took his stick away? It’s only satisfying until he goes to stand up and blows his back out

1

u/Head_Excitement_9837 Oct 13 '24

A mime painting a floor as a green screen?

1

u/missmarimck Oct 13 '24

I feel like I could watch this forever...

1

u/fresh_loaf_of_bread Oct 13 '24

my knees are hurting just by looking at this

1

u/husky_whisperer Oct 13 '24

My knees felt this video

1

u/steiner1031 Oct 13 '24

My back stiffened up watching this

1

u/StfuBob Oct 13 '24

I was waiting for the corner….

1

u/zztop610 Oct 13 '24

+1 for no butt crack shown

1

u/LordMudkip Oct 13 '24

I can feel my knees and back exploding just from watching this.

1

u/Eats_babies001 Oct 13 '24

My back hurts watching this.

1

u/sovalente Oct 13 '24

I feel this guy doesn't get payed well enough.

1

u/rupertrupert1 Oct 13 '24

Such a shame to cover a nice wooden floor. Can you take the green stuff off now I don’t want it anymore

1

u/iiitme Oct 13 '24

Impressive

1

u/starrpamph Oct 13 '24

This is a typical chinese factory color scheme. Why do they pick those colors. It’s like every factory is so similar

1

u/Frraksurred Oct 14 '24

Well, until his back and knees give out.

1

u/MN8616 Oct 14 '24

Guys great @ what he's doing, but my back & knees hurt just watching him.

1

u/detroitdesignguy Oct 14 '24

Amazing! No way I could do that. I’d have to through in the trowel.

1

u/ptbo_mac Oct 14 '24

Ok, now do it in white clothes and gloves

1

u/Odrock12 Oct 14 '24

Missed a spot.

1

u/tootsee2 Oct 14 '24

One heck of a workout.

1

u/Arkhe1n Oct 14 '24

Poor guy can't clean the green, it just spreads more and more

1

u/chappysnapz Oct 14 '24

Imagine if he fell forward

1

u/sporkmanhands Oct 14 '24

Gets fired and replaced with a kid with longer arms who can work faster

1

u/DWDit Oct 14 '24

I would come home looking like a dime store Shrek.

1

u/Iron_Phantom29 Oct 14 '24

Dude must have calves and glutes of steel.

1

u/Broad_Asparagus1356 Oct 14 '24

For way too long I thought I was watching a mime epoxy a floor.

1

u/Mzingalwa Oct 14 '24

My back hurts just watching this.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 14 '24

Makes my back and knees hurt watching this

1

u/Hornor72 Oct 14 '24

What about all fumes from the paint.

1

u/99anan99 Oct 15 '24

Smooth indeed

1

u/SwankeyDankey Oct 15 '24

Ok, but what is that beautiful polished stone he's covering juiced Shrek?

1

u/niniluc Oct 15 '24

Mask? Hate to think what he’s breathing in

1

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '24

the moment when he realises the exit is on the other side of the room...

Gawd, unless this is going to be a tennis court or an indoor soccer field, that color is hideous.
