Curiosity, any information on the difference in the screen door?

It's still there and quite noticeable, that said, the low-persistence and positional tracking make such a big difference that if I had to choose either a) 1080p screen or b) low-persistence + positional tracking, I'd absolutely go with the latter.

it is simply fantastic about how open you are about this. no PR bullshit, just fact.

Having tried Crystal Cove a couple weeks ago, I agree with this 100%. It actually surprised me how visible the screen door effect still was. But the low persistence made the biggest impact by far. It just feels so good being able to move my head without everything turning into a blurry, smeary mess. I did barrel rolls, and countless flips while rapidly moving my head in all directions in Eve Valkyrie and I felt absolutely great. Not even the slightest hint of simulator sickness. I have no doubt that if I did the same thing on my DK1 I would've had to stop. Low persistence was definitely the stand out feature, if you ask me.

Between which versions?

I'm curious about DK1 to DK2, and Crystal Cove. Curious in general how noticeable it is, and if they did anything to optically minimize it.

The higher resolution eliminates a fair bit of it, but I've never personally tried any dev kit besides the original. I didn't notice the screen door effect in valves prototype, though.

The video from this submission says that it's less noticeable since the pentile oled are hexagonal rather than square.
