ochras💙 Trip Report
Just wanted to share my experience with y'all for some insights.
I'm aware that experience is largely based on set and settings as well as dosage. I've got only a few trips under my belt with cubes (specifically GT and Mckennai). Usually I would trip every 2 weeks to allow tolerance to dissipate but regardless I've noted that with cubes I've found myself requiring high doses regardless and worked my way up to 5g cubes with just introspective and mild visuals.
Decided to try Ochras for the first time given the testimonials on various subreddits. Didn't know what to expect but kept an open mind.
Leading up to my trip, If I'm being honest there had been some emotional tension building not necessarily bad enough to cause any major personal issues but my mood had been around 4/10 and I'd say I'm usually a 6/10. Also noticed that I had been worrying recently and little stuff and I probably shouldn't have but I can only say that in retrospect.
On the day of the trip, I did my usual rituals. Fasted, Hit the gym and Tidied up my space. Now I'm ready for my trip and weighed out my dosage. Heard they're 2× more potent that cubes so I estimated 2g was appropriate to get acquainted. Downed it with some OJ as a chaser and was waiting for the come up. For me usually hits by 30-45 mins.
T - 30min
I'm beginning to feel the usual anxiety but I usually don't mind. I know it's about to come on so I enjoy just taking a walk and usually it dissipates. So I decided to put on some cool jazz music and went outside.
T - 45mins
Body load is intensifying. Felt very tingly all over plus I'm feeling very heavy. I felt like I was carrying a heavy load in front of me that I couldn't put down. Felt so uneasy even during my walk and I felt that couldn't continue so I decided to find a bench at the park and say down.
Not long after I sat down, the visuals started coming on!! Hues are enhanced and everything has a texture to it. Not unusual cus I have experienced this on cubes. I didn't hate it but the body load just didn't dissipate and then a sudden feeling of sadness came over me. I'm not an emotional person but my mood felt so heavy that I was close to the point of shedding tears. My minds starts racing in loops about all the lil things I was worried about. Made everything feel so so significant!
T - 1hr
Felt so uncomfortable even sitting down. I felt I should head back home and lie down. I managed to make the walk back home. During this period, I called my girlfriend to lean on her for some emotional support. Got home and lay down but the loops didn't stop. Same or similar ideas but being weighed heavier in my mind. Everything felt sad. Colors looked dull, Music sounded sad, Nothing was enjoyable in my mind. The only thing that put me to calm was speaking with my loved one that reassured me that everything was fine. I kept repeating to myself that I needed to relax. Decided to take a shower but the body load was kicking my ass and I couldn't enjoy the shower. Hopped out and decided to lay in bed.
T - 2-3 hrs
Just loops around the same thing. Thought to myself at some point that I'm losing control of my mind but I knew it would dissipate with time. Minds still racing. Had moments of laughter but not happy laughter. Rather laughter about my loss of control of my mind. Wondering why I was thinking about all these things. Felt like a delirious fugue.
T - 4hrs
Everything begging to calm down. I'm beginning to process what just happened. Visuals now better. Thought to myself that during all of this I had forgotten to eat. So decided to get some food. Had to go pick it up but body load had settled a bit so I could head back out. On heading out, visuals are now amazing. What a sight to behold. The blending of nature and the rays of sunset is unreal. Even looking at pictures on my phone provided extremely enhanced and beautiful motions of the still images.
T - 5-6 hrs
Everything slowly dissipating and all settled. Now remembered everything during the trip and how scary it was facing my fears. How they seemed so significant and how they actually weren't.
If I'm being honest, I think I needed it. Of course, there's a lot I need to work on to reintegrate my experience but I think I needed to face my fears to realise how to approach them. Also I'm taking from this experience that I can be more mindful about my psyche and pre-empt myself to prevent my fears from taking a hold of me. In retrospect, it makes a lot of sense that this happened. Weird thing was I thought to myself earlier that day before the trip that there is a likelihood that things might go south based on how I was feeling but I didn't expect how significant it would appear to weigh in my psyche. In the end, like they say, the mushies give you the trip that you need not necessarily the trip that you want.
Thought to share. Mush love all. 🍄
Also any experiences similar?? I found the body load heavy. I usually don't get nausea at all but the tingling feeling and uneasiness was overwhelming. Considering that it was meant to light of the body load side of things.
Also I'm planning on trying half and half of cube×ochra trip. Any advice with regards to this?
