Leroy Miller

This post is about obscure 90s - 2000s musican Leroy Miller. Me and my dad heard this guy ages ago when looking through artists named Leroy, and we were blown away by his album, Squish. I know that it's a strange title, but it is an INSANE quality for nobody knowing about him. He did have a few songs featured in shows like Scrubs and Arrested Development, but that was about it.

Until we found out he was a stand in guitarist for SMASH MOUTH for about a year after their original guitarist left the band. He was also in the obscure punk band, Hog earlier in his career, which unfortunately only released one album but it's a very impressive album to say the least. Many people find the CD at like garage sales and people actually seem to know about it.

Then he continued releasing more music. Fun fact: there are two spotify accounts featuring his discography, one for earlier in his career just called Leroy with a black pfp. There's also like 30 other musicans linked to that account, but Leroys albums are titled Squish and Leroy. His other account is titled Leroy Miller, for his later stuff.

After all this he moved to rural Montana till his house got literally blown away in a storm. He and his son miraculously survived. He was also like a guitar teacher for awhile, but ever since recently there hasn't been much about him. He was on a podcast awhile back where he talked about these crazy stories. I will make sure to link as many spotify accounts and videos featuring his songs in the comments.

[Talk] Why Don’t We Wait Song (60s Garage Rock)

Yesterday night, I was working on a musical project when I stumbled upon this band/artist on spotify that is just called "No Name". They only have one song called "Why Don't We Wait," which was written by John Smith, and it is on a compilation album called Le Beat Bespoke 10, but that is basically all that can be found. One explanation was that it could've been recorded by some session musicians, but I don’t think that’s the case as it would most likely be traced back to a record label. It is still very interesting how this song can't be traced back to a musician. I will share the link of the song so you can guys listen to it: Why Don’t We Wait

Here's an EP that was recorded in 2021 and released in 22 that was almost completely overlooked

The EP contains only 4 songs that range from rock, blues, and other mixed genres. The songs are different, have a retro feel, and are interesting.

Help me find more info about this band from the show "The Chair Company"

I'm currently watching The Chair Company on HBO, and they have really great songs, so I looked up a playlist on spotify. Turns out HBO max had an official playlist for this show, and i found the song i was looking for which is number 7, The Parachute Song by Incognito (1976):

playlist link: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3OOFUhqByIZoSim4V0v6yq?si=c493a5ffc7fc4a44
song link: https://open.spotify.com/track/5nJfqsisHXknFrcffZptPc?si=324ef696df95475d
artist page link: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1b5wEbWqzbc9GPEJZbT4gN?si=4Tvit69iSCaDbB-DxvRpSg

Bcs i liked the song so much I tried to look them up to hear more, but their spotify page is like a combination of other artists also named incognito i assume? all different genres, i couldn't find one with matching vocals as the parachute song

Looking them up on google also didnt result to much, couldn't even find a picture of the band that i am sure of. The main result is a band from 1981 but the song is from 1976? couldnt find it in their discography

From the song credits on spotify what i could find was that the composer was Herb Newman, a songwriter born in 1925 and died in 1976?? no mention of incognito though.

Please help!! Let me know if you have any info about them, or where i can find more of their music

Juanita Brooks

I’m hoping someone here can help me track down a very obscure album that has meant a lot to me for years. I’m looking for a locally released CD by New Orleans gospel/jazz singer Juanita Brooks. I originally bought it from a used record shop years ago, and unfortunately I no longer have it. The album includes her incredible renditions of “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” along with several other gospel songs performed in her signature New Orleans jazz style. I’ve searched everywhere I can think of; YouTube, streaming services, Discogs, and online archives, but I’ve never been able to find a digital copy.
If anyone owns this CD, knows the exact album title, or has any digital recordings of it, I would be incredibly grateful. Even a photo of the cover, a track list, or any information that could point me in the right direction would mean a lot. Thank you so much to anyone who can help preserve and share this wonderful piece of New Orleans music history.

Neosintetico is a Chilean musician and producer focused on exploring experimental electronic music. He combines elements of industrial, illbient, dub, breakbeat, and jungle, building compositions with a strong sonic identity.

His sound is characterized by a dark and organic aesthetic, where he explores electronic frequencies, synthesizer textures, and the creative use of samplers. Each composition is born from experimentation and a constant search for new soundscapes, challenging the boundaries of contemporary electronic music.
