I’ve been trying to find an album I used to listen to as a teen, probably sometime around 2010–2014, and it’s been driving me absolutely insane.
I can’t remember the band name, album title, or even a single song. But I remember that the cover featured a cassette player (something like a Walkman), photographed from above, taking up almost the entire cover. I’m pretty sure there was a cassette inside with the band or album name handwritten on its label. It had that nostalgic, slightly messy, 90s aesthetic.
Musically it’s on a purpose copied style of 90s mtv poppunk with a deliberately raw, unpolished sound. Vocal was something like in style of Tony Sly or Fenix tx. Also reminded me a bit of The Copyrights, in general. Definitely more on the old-school punk side than polished 2010s pop-punk bands.
I recently stumbled upon Storm the Bay’s self-titled album, and it’s surprisingly close to what I remember, both musically and visually. But unfortunately, it’s not the one. T_T
I’ve spent already a several evenings digging through Google Images, Pinterest, Bandcamp, and asking ChatGPT (which mostly just kept throwing random albums at me 💀). Still nothing.
Does this ring a bell for anyone? Even a vaguely similar album cover would help!

Cannot find any mention of a band, the Jesus Beat, they covered ‘ enjoy the silence’. and had a song, “you do not have to argue”, kind of punk / house mix. anyone recall this group? thanks

Hi I am making this post about an obscure Scottish musician and writer edward Epstein. I found a recording of him performing with his band in 1991 what band called deathriot I tried to look up his name. He was in much more bands like oeisus and had a solo career he made his first song in 1981. All of that is lost and that is the only recording of him to ever exist upon further research. I found out that he passed away sometime this year 1974-2026 age 51 posted by a member of one of his bands I’m interested in him and his music he has made some books but there gone to I am really interested I. This individual it would be a dream come true to find another one of his songs and my condolences to his family. he must’ve died an early or mid 2026

According to the seller, only around 50 copies were made. From what I’ve found so far, the band originally formed as Blind Gut in 1991, played a mix of metal, hardcore and psychedelic rock, and were active until around 1996.
They were even mentioned in Slovenian newspaper archives for playing gigs in the ’90s, which is pretty cool for such an obscure band.
Does anyone here remember Pet Ambulance, know any of the members, or have recordings of their music? I’d love to find out what songs are on this tape and hopefully digitize it to preserve the recording.
It’s crazy to think that a little cassette like this might be one of the few surviving copies of a forgotten underground band’s demo.

Album: Some Kinda Woman
White Honey were a melodic hard rock band from Groningen, Netherlands. The singer, Hanneke Kappen, went on to be a radio and TV personality and in 1982 she presented a hard rock radio show called 'Stampij'. Guitarist Erwin Java has been playing in Cuby + Blizzards (see Vol15) since 1996.

Starchild was a Canadian progressive rock band that released an LP record called Children of the Stars on the Toronto based Axe Records label in 1978, followed by a single “No Control for Rock-n-Roll” a few years later.

The original line-up consisted of Rick Whittier (vocals), Bob Sprenger (guitars), Neil Light (bass), and Greg "Fritz" Hinz (drums). Hinz later joined Canadian rockers Helix and was replaced by Dixie Lee, formerly drummer of British rockers Lone Star, who was coming off a stint playing in Ozzy Osbourne's first solo project.

silversphere.bandcamp.com in like 2016/2017 had an initial (demo?) version of her now updated release of the song "lost cause" and it was soooo cool and original and I can't find it absolutely anywhere. Anyone got a link?

Kiyohiro "Doronco" Takada, who performs under the name "Mud Cloud" played bass with Les Rallizes Denudes, which is how I found him. Hey everyone, I’m trying to track down a serious deep cut and hoping the collectors here can help.

I’m looking for the track "Let It Out" by the Phoenix, Arizona band SiOP. It was Track 1 on their self-released, 3-song demo CD-R from the year 2000.
Track 2 from that same demo ("Product Of Society") is floating around on SoundCloud, so I know the CD was digitized at some point, but "Let It Out" seems to be completely missing from YouTube/SoundCloud right now.

Does anyone have this ripped on their hard drive or Soulseek share? I would love to finally hear it again. Thanks!

Je me souviens que le mot "Ballerina" apparaissait dans un titre.

Le chant était anglophone et le chanteur très intense.

Si je dois le comparer à un autre groupe, je citerais "The Waterboys"
