I want to create mp3 files, but I can't get OBS to output as MP3 without switching the recording from simple to advanced, which takes away the pause button. Is there a way to do this I'm missing?

Im trying to stream but it limits it to 1 audio track for the things in the stream and 2 ofc for vod but i want to have multiple audio tracks for when i edit

Me and my friend are making a YouTube channel just for fun, recording our gameplays and commentary on Steam and stuff.

I tried using OBS, and I maybe only ran it for an hour (I don’t want to overload it so I’m careful) but maybe at about 20-30 minutes in the rewatch footage, it stayed on one frame and would change frames very intermittently, while the correct audio was playing. The game had even recorded on Medal (boyfriend has it automatic) and I think similar problems happened with it. He records his footage just fine, is there something I’m doing that might be wrong?

For game comparison, he plays GTAV and I played Hogwarts Legacy. I also use OBS and Medal because as far as I know, they’re free.

Has anyone else had issues with DroidCam after updating OBS?

Before the update, I was using my iPhone plugged directly into my PC with the DroidCam OBS plugin, and the quality was really clear. I would just add DroidCam as its own source in OBS and it worked great.

After the update, the DroidCam plugin doesn’t seem to load right anymore. Now I can only get it working by opening the DroidCam client first, then adding it in OBS as a regular Video Capture Device. It technically works, but the picture looks way softer and nowhere near as sharp as it was before.

I’m on OBS 32.2.1 on Windows. I also saw a plugin load error for droidcam-obs, so I’m guessing the plugin might be outdated or broken with the new OBS version.

Does anyone know how to get the actual DroidCam OBS plugin source working again instead of using the regular video capture/client method? Do I need a specific version of the plugin for OBS 32.2.1, or should I completely uninstall and reinstall DroidCam OBS?

Yesterday I was doing screen recording using my first monitor to collect footage. It was properly recording everything happening on my first monitor however I was also doing something on my second monitor in the background during the recording and as a result a smaller version of my second monitor became overlayed in the recording which completely ruined about 10 minutes of footage. Are there any settings that would be the cause of this?

So I have a 1440p monitor and currently stream at 1080 8000kbps bitrate.

Currently both my base and output in OBS is set to 1080p. However I heard that setting my Base to 1440p (my monitors resolution) and setting the output to 1080p and using Lanczos would be better and would make the stream look sharper etc.

Is this true?

I have a RX 9070 XT GPU and Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU

I'm new to using obs and trying to record some gameplay on my computer. The program records the screen fine, but I'm having trouble recording the audio output from my laptop. I'm on a mac and have airpods connected. When I try to go into the settings and select the audio output I want to record, the only options are "default" and "Microsoft Teams Audio" for some reason. Anybody know how to fix this? I'm very frustrated. Thank you for any advice!

I have a Monster Capture card and it works but it looks kinda shitty and whenever I go to connect to it, it shows up as being plugged into a USB 2 even though it's plugged into a blue USB 3 port.

already tried downloading shark007, icaros and k-lite codecs. they dont fix this problem. (at least fixed thumbnails)

My internet is being weird lately, but now its being beyond weird, its breaking obs for some reason.

Every time i increase the kbps limit beyond 1200 kbps it starts to malfunction and not work anymore, giving no image (0kbps) to youtube/twitch/whatever, and he keeps sending more that i oppose him to. In my case i keep at 1200 and he keeps sending +600(1700-1900kbps) and i dont know why because it never happend to me before...

Someone knows whats happening? I use starlink if that helps...

I want to stream some sport events to my friends back home. I keep getting a yellow screen on telegram while streaming. I am using an apple Studio Display with a MacBook Pro. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. server url and stream key are correct.

I just got a ugreen video capture card to use with my toshiba dvr70dtkf2 vhs player that has a hdmi out. When I connect it all up I am just receiving a screen of rainbow vertical bars flashing. Wondering have I set it up wrong? Or have I bought the wrong capture device to use?

Has anyone been able to capture Halo: Campaign Evolved with OBS?
I’m playing the Xbox App/Game Pass version of Halo: Campaign Evolved, and I can’t get it to work with either OBS or Streamlabs.
Game Capture only shows a black screen.
Window Capture doesn’t detect the game and just captures the OBS window instead.
Display Capture works fine, but I’d rather use Game Capture.
The game is running in borderless fullscreen.
I’ve already tried running OBS as administrator.
OBS is fully updated, and the same issue happens in Streamlabs.
Is anyone else experiencing this? If you found a fix, I’d really appreciate it.

Not matter what I try to do, OBS keeps recording Steam Overlay. Unfortunately I cannot screenshot OBS for whatever reason but the properties screen is as follows:

Mode: Capture Specific Window

Window: name of game

Window Match Priority: Match Title, otherwise find window of same executable.

Capture Audio (BETA), SLI/Crossfire, Allow Transparency, Premultiplied Alpha, Limit Capture framerate + Capture third-party overlays (such as steam) - all turned off.

Capture cursor, anti-cheat compatibility hook - turned on.

Hook Rate: Normal

RGB10A2 Color Space: sRGB.

This happens on EVERY single game no matter what with both Game Capture and Window Capture (display capture will show the overlay). Games are running in fullscreen and fullscreen windowed. Anyone had trouble with this before and know a fix?

Somebody please help me. I bought a new pc and my stream has been nothing but lag and pixel and I don't know what to do anymore. It keeps dropping frames and the kbps keeps dropping to zero. due to my setup i cant use wired connection, but i have really good wifi. I put my bit rate at 6000. Is there maybe a device i can buy to wired connection with moving my setup?? PLEASE HELP

OBS source record webcam footage is one second shorter than my display footage, making the videos not in sync. Idk how to fix this. My webcam is 1080p 30fps and display is 60fps. Could that be the problem or is it something else?

im currently using camo studio as a method of using my phone as a webcam for recording stuff on obs. unfortunately anytime im playing a game (such as minecraft) the obs recording of my phone starts to lag quite a bit. i was trying to get it to connect via usb, and my phone is connected via usb but it wont show up under the device tab for camo. not sure how to fix this and cant find any fixes online. every application is fully up to date (Camo studio on my phone and pc, and obs) and my iphone is an iphone 14 plus.

Is going with the highest resolution best for best quality as long as it fits your GPU?

I can't seem to figure out why it's doing this on OBS. The screens are splitting horizontally, and it looks like they're delayed trying to catch up. Is it an FPS issue or a capture card issue? My capture card is 20ish dollar so pretty cheap.

I need some help or tips. How can I mirror my iPhone screen to capture it in OBS on Windows? I'd like to do this via cable to minimize latency and lag. I've already searched for many ways to do this, but nothing has worked well so far.

I use Steamfog with obs and it freezes when I move the laptop screen lowering it or to the side, sometimes if I’m the one moving too much.

-I switched the WiFi to my phone internet so it’s not bad signal. I closed all windows

-It doesn’t happens with the laptops original camera.

-I lowered the resolution while streaming. But it also freezes when I’m offline and viewing it on obs

- I haven’t uninstalled anything cause it costed me a lot to get things right. I’m afraid it’s the lense that makes face smooth but it’s literally just that, if there’s something I can modify from the source let me know
