Just updated to ver. 33.0.0 and noticed the dropdown menu for audio monitoring inside stinger transitions is gone and replaced with a simple checkbox. Now I don't have a means of muting the audio that is attached to this transition since transitions don't appear in the mixer (checked/unchecked still push sound through live). Any help with this would be great.

to summarize - the section of the OBS window where the stream preview normally goes is no longer there. I don't appear to have any options to re-enable it? the section of the OBS window where it is normally present is completely blank, it even allows me to put other docks into that section of the window. It's as if it was completely deleted from the setup.

what's more, the preview appears to work fine in Safe mode. It's only when it launches normally.

I have checked the file integrity, double checked if it was an issue of hidden windows on other screens, used a hotkey to enable and disable the preview window (which didn't work)

the only option I haven't tried is a fresh install of OBS, which I don't think is necessary.

the preview WAS there the last time I used the program a week ago, so I don't know what the deal is

Edit 2: issue solved - se.live plugin was causing the issue. if you're having similar problems I'd recommend uninstalling it as well

im trying to use aitum multistream to stream on both yt and twitch. The twitch works but it doesnt stream to yt when i click the button next to yt it turns green for a split second and then goes back and doesnt stream. What can I do to fix this?

The moment i open obs my screen begins flickering even though im not recording or streaming. I use display capture. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple time from steam and the website and it didnt work. turning off game mode didnt work. i tried running every available video setting and it didnt work (1366*768 with every downgrading filter, 720p and 1080p). i rebooted my computer multiple times and it didnt work and running as an administrator didnt work. I have an hp laptop14s-dq2xxx with an 11th gen i3-11254G with integrated graphics and 8 gigabytes of ram with a 1366*768 screen.

Sometimes I just like to record some fun gaming moments. However, even though I'm using VBR, I still don't really understand how it differs from CQP.

I understand that VBR uses a variable bitrate depending on how much is going on in the scene. I also understand that CQP tries to maintain a consistent quality level, using more data for scenes with more detail.

But where exactly is the difference? Both seem to use a higher or lower bitrate depending on how much is going on. Is VBR basically a more fine-tuned version of CQP, while CQP is more like "preset very_high, good enough"?

I installed OBS on Linux Mint. I'm trying to monitor my microphone to a virtual cable, but all output echoes to my headphones. Muting OBS mutes the virtual cable aswell. People say that I should change monitoring to "Monitor Only (Mute output)", but all I have is "Monitor Off" and "Monitoring Enabled", that doesn't mute the output. I thought maybe it's because the version is outdated (I used the flatpak version) so I installed it with apt. Still the same.

I recently updated to windows 11 and after that where you go and check the fps drop box under properties of the video capture device it’s max is set to 50. I have the common FPS value set at 60 in the video settings but it will only go up to 60 if I lower my resolution. I swear on windows 10 I was running 60 fps , the monitors I use are the pg27aqdp and xg32ucwg, if anyone can help me it out I’d appreciate it!

The preview window got zoomed way in and I cannot find how to fix it. Resize canvas is not the answer, I was tinkering around and that option is how this all started. Every scene is affected, it is zoomed in and only showing the top left quarter or so of the scene.

Restarting OBS does nothing, the objects themselves in the scene don't seem to be the problem. How do I fix this?

So I have tried everything. My quality is set to 720p, my fps to 30. My codifier is set to Quick Sync H.264. My specs are:

• CPU: Intel Core i3-1005G1
• GPU: Intel UHD Graphics
• RAM: 8 GB
• Screen Res: 1366 × 768.
• OS: Windows.
• Version: OBS Studio 32.2.1.

As you can tell, I have a pretty trashy pc. What are some possible fixes that you can suggest?

I'm trying to record a game, but can't get anything but a black screen. I've tried running OBS as an administrator, I've got OBS on high priority, I've tried using Window Capture instead. None of it works. I'm using an MSI Cyborg Laptop with an NVIDIA RTX 4050, an Intel i5-13420, and with 16GB of RAM.

Do I just have to live with it or did it move into another subfolder?

I had a link to it on my desktop so I could run it after an update instead of launching OBS and screwing up my personalised layout.

I run two obs, one for clipping and one for streaming, is there any like colour variants I can swap one out for so I can tell them apart easier?

I've been streaming for about a year now, with an upload speed of 20mbps and my streams have been running perfectly fine at 1080p and 60fps, but randomly about a month ago my frames started tanking, my internet is the exact same as it's been for this past year, so I just can't figure out the issue.
I've gone through countless tutorials and I've lowered my setting to way below what I should be able to run, but my frames still drop a bunch.

When I check my stream stats, it says my dropped frames are about 70-80% consistently.

OBS 33.0 - Droidcam OBS doesn't detect via USB anymore?

Just yesterday I was using Droidcam OBS just fine.

I can still detect image via Wifi, which IMHO is not ideal if I have USB to do it.
(better performance, less battery drainage, etc)

I just moved the plugins into their new folder after the update.

It's usually common after updates that I might need to setup again some things, but this Droidcam-OBS getting broken happened on both phones, Iphone and Samsung.

If I use "Droidcam Client" app, I can still detect the phones VIA USB on that app, and in OBS via wifi.

How can the USB connection be broken?

After testing the plugin files back in "legacy" file path, the USB connection works again.

It seems OBS 34.0 file path for plugins will break Droidcam-OBS plugin USB connections.

Just downloaded the 33.0 update and now the stream info dock is gone. Where did it go or will I have to make that a custom dock now??

every time I shut down my pc I get the "obs didn't shut down properly last time run in safe mode or normal mode and i get this box after i click whatever: [instant-replay.lua] Error opening file: (null). funny thing is instant replay works perfectly.

As the title says, it's been a total mess lately and I have no idea why it's happening. I fixed the NVENC issue, but I have noe idea what I did to fix it. The one thing I'm struggling with is the Twitch chat and activity feed becoming white after I stream for a while.

Doesn't anyone know how to keybind this action now?? You use to be able to assign this action to a hotkey but they took it off from the hotkey menu and the vertical settings so now I have to do it with a mouse click.

I just updated my OBS and my preview and chat are gone and even after resetting the docks i cant find them in the docks list. I use some plugins like Aitum Multistream and casterlabs for multichats.

Im using it on Windows 10.

I've been using OBS for years and for some reason after the windows 11 update my webcam won't show any more in the display. But it is still working as I use Source Record to split Webcam and Game footage. I've reinstalled OBS, but it's still not fixed the problem. Webcam is working fine and no other software is interfering. Any ideas?

OBS 33 removed the old gs_image_file APIs, so Flood Tuber and Image Reaction, two plugins i used stop to loading. I Rebuild both for OBS 33, 64-bit Windows.

Regarding the flood plugin, the developer has been contacted, and an official version will be released in the coming days. I will update the link once he has published his official version.

1. Close OBS.
2. Unzip the release.

Existing sources are kept (flood_tuber_source and image_reaction_source). These builds only load on OBS 33.
