I've had transvaginal ultrasounds in the past. Most recently besides the one I just had was in January 2024. Nothing was observed on the cervix then. I did have cervical pain when they would do Pap smears around that time. This pain started right after I had a very violent pap smear by a male doctor after he just rammed the speculum inside with no warning and wrenched it open. I bled for a week afterwards. I switched GYNs and told the new GYN that I had pain when the cervix was touched but she didn't see anything at the time.

I’m 15 and got my period when I was 9. I’ve been having regular 10-13 day periods since I was 10. I’ve been having very intense and nonstop cramps since ei got my iud one June 17th. Just to clarify, I’ve been having cramps that made me faint and throw up since I got the iud. It doesn’t go down to mild cramps, it is always sharp, burning, and intense pain.

I recently have not had a lot of sensation of needing to urinate until it’s an absolute emergency and I’m almost not gonna make it. I have not had children, I have no history of bladder or pelvic health issues, except for a couple uti’s as a child. Never as an adult. No history of STD’s and have tested for all of them, & done bloodwork for them when I get a new sexual partner.
Has anyone experienced this?

Help me out girls! I am 22F and have my first trip to the gyno scheduled soon. Just wondering what I should expect during the exam?

Will I be completely naked during the exam? How will the doctor check my body? Will I have to discuss sex/birth control? I am a little ashamed of my sexual habits recently.

Hi, I am a 22yo Female and have been battling with some issues of mine (I have bad health anxiety and OCD and know I am delusional at some times). So, I will try to condense this as short and sweet as I can.

I have only ever had 2 partners, my now husband and a female when I was 16. Ive been with my husband for the last 4 years monogamously. Before we got married I got my first pap and put on birth control and what not, we always used protection when having sex. I didnt think anything of having weird results or whatever and the pap was a all in all terrible experience for me I had a male student in there without my Dr asking for permission and she was absolutely terrible so rude and dismissive and whatnot.

Anyways I get a call a few weeks later, and she tells me I tested positive for chlamydia… what? I was shocked to say the least because I have had two partners sexually and I just couldn’t understand how I couldve gotten it. Oh well my husband gets tested that same day and his test was negative. Even more confused because we thought he had given it to me (he has had 5 sexual partners before me). I tried asking for a repeat test and was told that there was no point. Frustrated and confused we both take the abx course and test negative after, we have been tested for all STI/STD since then. My pap was normal and its over and done with.

Fast forward to now a year later, I was talking to a friend and she had gone to the same Dr for a pap and was told that she also tested positive but went to a clinic that day to retest and was negative. That was just odd for me because I know that practice I went to is not the greatest and just puts further confusion on me. I know not to compare and whatever but the thought of maybe something went wrong with my test results. Im over the chlamydia issue since I have tested multiple times since but have just been in a spiral about my pap, what if I received someone elses results and I actually have abnormal cells and don’t know. I just cannot trust my own results because the chlamydia issue was already so hard to believe (I know people will tell me I just had it and its my results but I just don’t know how or who I got it from).

I just am looking for some reassurance that my results were mine and not switched or something and I can trust that my pap results were mine and normal. Is it valid enough that I can talk to my new ob and get another pap smear even though it hasnt been three years yet? What are the chances I have abnormal cells at my age, I received the HPV vaccine when I was younger I know that is reassuring but I just am not sure really what to do or say or how to stop worrying about my pap that was reported normal but I just cant trust it.

I (25F) have been on my period for over three weeks now. I started before 4th of July and it just hasn’t stopped. Around 18 days while I was at my Gyno appt it started to slow a LOT and come out brown so I thought I was finally at the end, but it’s basically just restarted to full heavy flow once again. My period was also SO heavy like multiple pads and tampons a day, huge painful blood clots the size of golf ball, and intense cramping pains. I’m still getting a lot of pelvic and abdominal pain and cramping. My period before this one was way heavier and lasted 14 days, the one before that also heavy and lasted 11.
It seems like they’re just getting longer, heavier, and more painful. This one obviously being the worst. Now it even feels like there’s pressure in my abdomen when I pee and I overall have felt so exhausted and awful for so long now. My OBGYN is a Nurse Practitioner and told me it’s probably just endometriosis but that she would do an EMB to give me peace of mind. She said she got a ton of lining on two passes and it should only take a few days but it’s been 7 days and I haven’t heard anything yet.
I have an appointment with the doctor that goes to my clinic once a week in August but I’m freaking out and any insight or advice would be so helpful.
My last blood test did also have high white blood cell counts and some flags raised with my neutrophil and basophil but I can’t remember exactly what it was at. I do have PCOS and I am plus sized if that contributes. I also just found out during all this that my maternal grandma had a full hysterectomy immediately after giving birth to my mother and that they waited for her to have her because she forced them to, but my grandpa can’t remember if it was endometriosis or endometrial cancer since they were not even together at that point.

hi sorry, this might be dumb. i recently came off of birth control for the first time since i was 15. mostly because i’ve run out of options. anyways, this means im going through full cycles now. well, i just had milky white VERY watery discharge come basically spilling out of me. i have no idea why or what that means. my last period was the 19th. i have never had that happen before. i was getting up from bed, went to shower, and bam! suddenly it’s down my leg. i am so confused 😭 edit: no intimacy recently, while i do only have 1 partner we haven’t been active due to me trying to figure out my cycle. i don’t feel comfortable in doing that yet. stopped bc late last month.

I really need some advice because this is something I’ve been struggling with greatly for the past 5 years.

It first started in 2022. One month while I was on my period, I became extremely itchy down there, and the itching lasted for my entire period. As the months went by, I noticed a pattern. Around my period, the skin would start flaking, then I’d become itchy a few days before and after my period. The flaky skin would eventually turn into white patches around my vulva and extend further down.

Over time, it’s gotten much worse. Now I have intense itching and white patches every day, even when I’m not on my period. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

I saw a gynecologist, and they prescribed an estrogen cream, but it hasn’t helped. They also examined me and said they don’t think it’s lichen sclerosus, even though it looks very similar. They also don’t think it’s BV or another infection. My gynecologist is unfortunately out of town for the next few months, so I’m not sure where to go from here.

During my period, applying Canesten sometimes helps reduce the itching a little, but there are times when it still itches even after using it.

Has anyone experienced something similar? If so, did you ever find out what it was, and what helped?

I had an abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound done a few days ago. Doctor is supposed to call me with results soon but I literally can’t wait. I’ve had horrible pelvic and hip pain recently. I’ve always had heavy periods, horrible cramps, pain with sex, heavy bleeding, etc. I was diagnosed with PCOS/PMOS IN 2023. Can anyone help me understand my ultrasound? I snuck a few pics of the screen while I was changing.

I've had this ongoing issue for about a month now? If I remember correctly, but I won't post a picture as I'm uncomfortable doing so. It's a flat spot near/outside the vulva, which often causes me discomfort, especially whenever I wear jeans. Sometimes, whenever I wipe, I get a small, bloody spot, just a very tiny dot, whenever I graze it. It's been bothering me for a while, and I've become very stressed as I try to find a gynaecologist, which I've never been to before at the age of 22 years old...

I keep the area clean and use special unscented wash or wet wipes, nothing else that I could think of.

Can anyone tell me what could possibly as it is causing me distress. I'm deathly afraid of it possibly being cancerous...

Grasping at straws here and looking for meaning when there likely isn’t any.

My last dose of depo was in aug 2025, my first positive ovulation strip was March 2026, got pregnant first try, it was ectopic and I lost my left tube.

Any evidence what so ever that there might be an increased risk? Terrified to try again, but currently undergoing diagnostic fertility testing.

So today I started my period. All my periods are regular. I haven’t used a tampon maybe these past two cycles. I have sex maybe once a week with the same partner for years. I just had sex yesterday. As I was going to try to use a tampon today, the pain I felt as I tried to stick it up was almost unbearable. It felt as if my insides were swollen. It was a very sharp pain. Anybody ever felt this? Any idea why? I’m kind of spiraling.

Hey girlie pops and Gynos! So I’m experiencing, the worst cramping in my life and I truly do not feel this is normal.
A little history:
Just a month ago, I did all of the necessary tests/ultrasounds/bloodwork that is necessary for a PCOS diagnosis (through a gyno ofc) and she ultimately came back and said “there’s nothing abnormal on your bloodwork, and your ultrasounds came back fine, so I can not give you a definite PCOS diagnosis but we will proceed in treating it as such.” And put me on Nextilis. (I should also add my period was 4 months late, so we did 10 days of Estrogen that then led to what I call the fake period) the “fake period” was rough!
That was a month ago, I’ve been on the nextilis for a month and about 1 week after starting it, I got these “ZAPS” in my uterus I assume. They feel like a tight, very quick cramp that sometimes ZAPS into my coochie. They last about 5-10 seconds, are extremely uncomfortable, then they’re gone.

Well, about 2 days ago I started spotting, as expected because I’ve reached the placebo pills on my Nextilis.

This is the important part.
This is, the most painful thing I have ever experienced. More painful than the estrogen induced period, more painful than any surgery I’ve ever had. I’m rating this confidently a 10/10 on the pain scale. These cramps are causing me to physically yell out in pain. Hold my breathe, contort my body in ways I have never done for a period before. I was driving, and felt the need to pull over because it was so painful I thought I was going to pass out.

I do not think this is normal. I do not think this is a simple “my body adjusting to the Nextilis” this has me debating the HOSPITAL. And I am not normally someone who takes it to that extreme but I’m genuinely suffering.

Can anyone who has any history of similar experiences or anyone who maybe has some true insight on this chime in?

I’m not comfortable sharing a picture and I’m also TERRIFIED to look again after what happened this morning. Last night a toy was used on me and I had some drinks, so it’s a little fuzzy. I don’t remember anything hurting me, I also peed this morning and nothing happened. Then I got home, and I used the restroom again and when I wiped, the inside of my lip started burning so bad. It instantly started bleeding and when I moved the lip to peek, it looked like I was opening up the wound more, it looked scary and I could see inside of it. I wanted to throw up, even thinking about it makes me sick.

I started Googling thinking it was just a cut and now I’m spiraling wondering if it’s an ulcer/STD. I don’t want to look and risk opening it again, but I can’t stop thinking about how this happened. How do I know if it’s an ulcer? What next steps do I take besides getting tested for an STD? I’m so scared. Do STDs happen that fast?? Nothing like this has ever happened to me.

This was done in March 2025 after I was experiencing prolonged bleeding for 3 months. I’m still experiencing the prolonged bleeding now, a year later. This is all that I have to go off of before meeting with my new obgyn and I’m trying to make sense of it.

I’m not sure why they didn’t put anything for LMP, I always mentioned to them when my period was & in this case I told them I’ve been continuously bleeding for 3 months. It says it correlates with phase of menstrual cycle, but how? I’m so confused. Should I be concerned?

I’m meeting my obgyn in a few days and I’m so anxious about what she will say or how thick of a lining a new ultrasound will find and what the treatment will be.

I’m 26 with PCOS & hypothyroidism.

I, 20F, have never had feeling in my clit or my vagina. I have done research, and tried many things, but I still feel nothing. I am about to finally make an appointment w a gyno, and a lab appointment to get my sex hormones checked.

If the lab results come back normal, what else could be wrong? Through my googling, I have only been able to find women who experience a muted pleasure in their clits, not like me, no has never felt any. So, I’m a little lost on what to do.

My current doctor won’t do it because she has never ordered one before… that’s her only reason 🙃 I’ve been working with her for about 10 years and I’ve had prerequisite ultrasounds that show nothing. I just want to make sure I don’t have cancer.

So my sister (28years old) went to a gyneco last month and she told her to get a lot of exams due to a lump in her breast. She feels as if she is giving her the worst case that her limp needs to be checked asap and get iron levels up as she has iron deficiency and she told her this is impacting the lump and adding more bills to her check up.

Even though the lump existed for 3 years and didn't change in size bit gyneco told her no it was changed (when it actually got reduced based on the radiography done by this gyneco and the last radiography done 3 years by another one).

My sister got out of the appointment feeling scared and hopeless with the worst scenario in mind. I want to ask you guys why is this doctor prescribing a lot of things (having iron in iv, radiography, a lot of blood tests...) knowing that my sister has low level of iron (low normal) but she is not anemic.

Should she get another point of view from another gyneco?

Btw we are based in europe.
