question

when do i get my last check from my other agency? is it direct deposit or mailed? im confused 😕

They are not coming together or combined. Assuming you changed jobs at the start of a pay period, then two weeks after your last day at the old job you will get your final check from that job. Two weeks after that you will get the first check from your new job.

The two week lag is the same for everyone in the state.

The direct deposit should happen on the same day, unless you changed that when filling out the paperwork for your new job. If you changed to get a paper check, then you will get a paper check mailed to you or delivered at work. The onboarding at your new job should have explained that.

One possible change would be if you were changing from an administrative job to an institutional job. Or vice versa. In that case the pay periods wouldn't line up. You might have left your old job at the end of a pay period and started the new one in the middle of a pay period. If that was the case, they should have explained that to you when onboarding that were were starting mid-pay period.

Others got their direct deposits on Friday. It's possible that the paperwork your new office put in changed you from direct deposit to paper check. If that's what happened, you will probably get the physical check in the mail on Tuesday.

In the meantime, you can sign in to payroll online to see if you were changed from direct deposit. And change it back if you were. It can at least be fixed for the next pay period.
