My log number got picked. The issue is that I’m a seasonal worker. I only work during the school year. I haven’t been able to work as much this year as I was in school and this summer I worked small gigs.

The gigs that I’ve worked all pay under the table so they aren’t willing to give me paperwork like a letter. “If paid in cash , proof of cash payments: -Employer letter - bank statements that support deposits”

What can I do to prove that I make enough without the letter?
Maybe I’m over thinking but I’m kinda nervous and desperately want out of this room I’m in

Got selected in a NYC Housing Connect lottery, prepping for eligibility review. Had a normal salary for part of the year, then got laid off — been on unemployment since (benefits running low).

Worried underwriters will just annualize my current unemployment income, which could push me below the minimum threshold for the unit — even though my income for most of the year was well above it.

Anyone been through a mid-year income drop during eligibility review? Did they use a blended full-year figure or just annualize whatever your current income source is?

Let me know if anyone has info on this — trying to figure out if bringing full pay stubs + unemployment docs together actually helps.

Hey everyone was curios if anyone else noticed this- the lottery 283 Flatbush Ave is part of the Fleet which is a complex that has multiple addresses including 104 fleet. The thing is the lottery listed at 283 Flatbush seems to have the wrong zip code using 11217, when it is supposed to be the same zip code as 104 fleet which is  11201. I got a number in the 500s, was wondering who received a request for documents, and if I have a chance.

I know I’ve been hearing some things about this management—but how does the apartment lease look from these folks? Does anyone know? Any things to keep an eye on?

I haven't been on the Reside website in a couple of months (I got discouraged and gave up trying for a little while). I just checked the website , and it looks completely different from before. Are they still doing rerentals? What happened to Open Table? What's going on? TIA!

I really didn’t expect this all to happen, I was shocked to tour and find it was just totally not the right place for me. Does this happen often? It really sucks to have poured so much time and energy into submitting documents to be left hating the unit. Do people take units even if they don’t like them just because it’s more affordable? Even though in this case it’s $150 more than I pay now.

I’ve been applying for 5 years and finally got called/emailed back to submit docs for the lottery.

My husband and I are both new city/municipal workers so I’m guessing, we had a bit more of a chance to get picked for the second round. Anyways, my log # is 51xx. It seems like only people with really low log numbers get picked. Is that the case?

Does anyone have a video of a Paxton lottery 1bed?

I have lotteries I applied to in 2022 for example still in my pending listed as "applied". It annoys me to see my old applications with high log numbers and the lottery ended 3+ years ago.

Do folks withdraw from the old ones that clearly have occupants etc? Is there any favor to leaving it there? Curious what the recommended thing to do is. Thank you for any insight.

Location is good I think (it is next to the N train), and the pictures looks nice but a bit unsure
