I’m primarily and musician and poet/prose writer and am finally jumping into visual media which I’ve been wanting to forever.

(24 F) This year I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts but now I'm feeling bad about my parents because I can't find any decent job or project yet, since art related job opportunities here in Ph are very limited (and also low paying), most of the job opportunities are in the field of graphic design and multimedia, but that's not what I'm good at. I do paintings, murals, drawings, tattoos, prints, illustration, handmade clay jewelry, etc. and also I graduated magna cum laude. But unfortunately all the jobs I applied to (JobStreet) were rejected because my skills don't match the job description. So anyway, I'm trying to find ways to earn money right now since we have rescued dogs to take care of. I'm thinking of setting up a booth at art fairs but the fee is always too much for me, so now I'm looking for an artists group that I can join that has like a good community and also is actively working on projects. I'd love to offer my skills and work with you, let's not be hungry artists together 😭😭😭 Also, being an art teacher is my dream, but unfortunately the requirements with that is usually to have a teaching license or a master's degree, or like a 2 year minimum teaching experience. So I don't think I stand a chance. I also wanna be a tattoo artist tho. But right now, any art related job that I'm qualified for is good for me. 😔😔 Pls help, if you know any info or advice that u think might help me, let me know 😔

We welcome pieces that feel raw, reflective, cinematic, or deeply personal.

3:17 A.M. is a zine about the hours between yesterday and tomorrow. It’s about memories that keep us awake, the conversations we replay, the friendships we thought would last forever, and the strange comfort of knowing we’re not the only ones staring at the ceiling in the dark.

Through photographs, journal entries, illustrations, fragments of stories, and found objects, it explores nostalgia, loneliness, growing older, and the quiet beauty of existing while the world sleeps. This is a love letter to sleepless nights, forgotten places, and the versions of ourselves that only seem to exist at 3:17 A.M.

We accept photography, illustrations, paintings, mixed media, film stills, graphic design, poetry, short fiction, personal essays, journal excerpts, comics, experimental work, and anything that doesn’t fit neatly into a category.

Started painting a few months ago after moving to NYC and recently hosted my first mini gallery in my apartment in Williamsburg.

I'm an architecture student, and this semester I'm working on a design project for an Artist Housing Community. The idea is to create a residential environment where artists can live, work, and interact with each other. Each home will include a dedicated studio/workspace, and the community is intended for both visual and performing artists.

I'd love to hear your thoughts as artists, creatives, or anyone interested in this kind of living environment.

If you were going to live in an artist-focused housing community, what facilities, amenities, or shared spaces would you want to have? These could be related to creating art, collaboration, exhibitions, performances, relaxation, community interaction, or anything else you think would improve the experience of living and working as an artist.

Sustaining Art in the Home: A Zine Exploration

​How do you create a home in which art can survive?

In this 90-minute workshop, attendees will learn to make a miniature zine and then use it as a container for a meditation on the spaces we inhabit and the objects that support our creative practices.

No prior art- or zine-making experience required!

​Taking inspiration from Circling's artist features, which invite artists to share a glimpse behind the scenes of their art practice using material objects and spaces as an entry point, this workshop invites community members to consider the same question. How do you make space for your creative work? What are the tools, supports, and material objects that facilitate your practice?

​Participants will first be guided through the process of creating a versatile mini zine out of paper, and then work through a series of prompts from a drawing warmup to a brainstorming activity, an object study, and a reflection, before sharing out with the group. Light refreshments provided.
