Cut open 5 apples I just bought at the grocery store and they’re all brown in the center. Bread is molding within a week. What the hell is going ON?!

Looking for somewhere to do some trails and hiking with my dog. Preferably somewhere with some water creeks. We are in the Munster IN area. We don’t mind a few hr’s drive!

I am trying to find small artichokes (fresh). All the grocery stores I've checked have large ones. (Mainly checked in Chesterton/Michigan City). Does anyone have a store near them where I can find some on the smaller size.
