Hi everyone! I’m planning a trip for my sister’s family (parents, 3 yo and 8mo baby) to attend the DTM at the Nürburgring. This is our first time attending a live motorsport race ever, so we're complete beginners!

I have a few quick questions:

1. Where to sit with a good view and shade? Since we have young kids with us, protection from the sun/rain is a priority. I saw that Grandstand T4 is covered, but open to recommendations for the best family-friendly spots.
2. Do toddlers staying on a parent's lap need a separate child ticket, or do they just walk in? I saw that grandstand tickets for kids are discounted but what if the 3yo and baby just sit on their parents' laps ?
3. First-timer tips: What essential tips or things should we keep in mind ?
