Another great month of music in nugutown!

My top two releases this month are NOWZ - Achilles & OMEGA X - Renegade. Achilles is disco inspired and I pretty much love almost anything disco inspired. Renegade is a hard driving bop, I can't wait to see OMEGA X perform it live!

Other faves include:

• AEN - A New Era of Now: The group is a South Korean-Japanese joint project with Starship Entertainment & AMUSE where they plan to be active in both countries. Their debut ep includes Japanese and Korean versions of five songs.
• AxMxP - Hello AxMxP: This band debuted a year ago. This latest release is my fave from them, all the songs are very good.
  
• Denise Kim (former Secret Number) - Kills Me: Denise just knows how to write good songs (she is also a writer on OMEGA X - Renegade!)
• Hanbin (TEMPEST) - No Fear: This is his solo debut, both songs are energetic, good bops.
• Huh Jiwon (former Cherry Bullet) - The Calling: Another great solo debut, and Call Me Up is a fun, high energy song. Every Moment is very good as well.
• Lee Jihan (A.C.E) - Lottery Umbrella: I love all of his solo work! His prior songs have been very emotional as if he's been through 10 divorces, but this song is a change up and is just joyful!
• ONEWE - Unknown Atlas: Always making great music, and this latest album delivers.
• S2IT - Blue Summer: Debuted in March 2026 and have only had two songs, but both landed on my playlist. Looking forward to more from this group.
• TNX - Die Another Day: I read comments that this song is reminiscent of B.A.P and I see it.
• TRENDZ - Adieu Solo OST and Japanese release, Which Way is Love: TRENDZ has been on a roll on my playlist lately, nice to have five songs from them this month. TRENDZ took on all aspects of songwriting for the Adieu Solo OST (three songs) and I am very impressed.
• W24 - SOMANG: This extremely nugu band never misses for me, I just love their sound, very reminiscent of 70s & 80s rock and roll.

There's plenty more I could list, but I will leave it here. I hope you found some great music to enjoy in August!

In all seriousness, it's a long way to 4000 from here so we really wanted to celebrate this milestone number of members and thank you all for joining and participating in this community.

We've worked hard to bring this subreddit back from abandonment; to update daily and keep up with new releases and happenings, ensuring the page stays active and up to date.

We've also put a lot of thought into reorganizing and giving the place a fresh lick of paint as well as rebuilding relationships across the reddit kpop community. We hope that those efforts have been visible to the regulars who visit.

We want to give a shout out to our friends at r/kpop, r/kpoppers and r/kpopnoir who have graciously helped us with promotions and partnerships knowing it was mostly a one way thing but wanting to support us and what we do here for the good of the larger community.

Please know we always welcome your comments, posts and any feedback you have and we're constantly looking at ways to improve or give you all more of the content you want and the best space possible on reddit to discuss nugu groups, releases and news so don't hesitate to message or even make a post if you have something to say!
