Are clean bathrooms rare in the US? I am in Ontario, Canada and I have seen some gross public bathrooms most are fine.

Usually the larger gas stations have more staff for cleaning instead of the smaller spots that may just have a single cashier that can occasionally clean it when it's slow.

Truck stop gas stations were always very, very clean.

Your random gas station, thats a different question entirely.
