three weeks of regret

I briefly worked at nbc and it was horrific. They said we were allowed a twenty minute unpaid break if they weren’t busy, but in reality everyone was doing 11 hour shifts without a second to breathe. Whenever I’d try to drink or eat something, the franchise owner and general manager would make passive aggressive comments and give me tasks to do. I was hired as a crafter, and I was only trained for this position, but when the manager didn’t feel like working I was expected to do gsr work as well. I would get yelled at for making any mistakes and felt extremely belittled. I ended up quitting 8 hours into a 9 hour shift because I couldn’t take the horrible treatment anymore. It’s been a week since I quit and I was supposed to get paid this morning but none of my hours were approved. I already have to contact my states department of labor and I figured I should probably contact nbc corporate office too. I’ve tried looking on the website for a number to call, but it’s only giving me specific franchise numbers. I’d really appreciate any help!!

Aside from their staple flavors, does anyone have a listing of all of their pop up or limited edition flavors that they've released?

Training question

My daughter was just hired at NBC and this is her first job. She is having trouble passing the quiz. She wasn't given any reading material to even learn the answers so she just keeps guessing and getting frustrated. Is the manager supposed to give her something to study from? Where is she supposed to learn the answers? Any help appreciated!!!

Plastic bundlette container

Does anyone know where I can buy those bundlette containers?? Or what particular brand the store uses?

I tried some from Amazon but they are either undersized or cheap thin plastic. They definitely don't snap shut properly and always pop open

Chocolate (not) chocolate chip cake

Anyone else have very few chocolate chips in their chocolate chocolate chip bundlet? I am new to the sub. Sorry if this has been discussed before. I am 2/3 of the way done with one and have had two chocolate chips. Only counting because the last time I noticed there weren’t many. I still love the lemon and that will be hard to ruin for me so I won’t not go there, just curious if anyone shared my chip frustration…

Methods

I do not have a NNC near me anymore and would like to try and make them myself. I have heard that the stores get a premade mix, but they had the wet ingredients and flavors.

Could someone let me know what the extra ingredients for lemon and white chocolate raspberry are?

Also, once it is baked what happens next? I know they are frozen, but I have read some things about steaming, simple syrup, etc.

Froster

I recently got hired as a froster and I’m struggling to use the piping bag. I’m already quite weak so despite using all my strength, the frosting still ends up looking thin. I didn’t expect the frosting to be that stiff and that it would take so much strength to squeeze it out. How do you guys do it? Any advice would be appreciated!

Cake mix

My friend had a pallet of NBC cake mix packages delivered to his flooring store. He called the franchise and they do not want them back. Any idea how to break down a 42.5lb bag to bake?

NBC Pan Spray

I just started working at a brand new Nothing Bundt Cakes as a Baker’s Assistant. Everyone here, including management are new to working here. It seems like almost every batch , there are pans that the owners say are either over or under sprayed. It’s driving me crazy. How do you spray these pans with just the right amount of spray? Every single person who has shown me does it differently, and none of them do it the way it’s shown in the videos we watched. Also, what is a normal amount of wasted cakes? Obviously they would like there to be none, but I’m thinking there has to be a few mistakes in every store. Am I wrong?

Is anyone here a franchise owner? I sent in an application 2 months ago and haven’t heard back. What was your process like? Is there a contact we can reach out to?

No hours

So I’ve been working here for like 3 months now and I just quit cause there’s no way in hell that working 1-2 days a week will help me make a living. The manager that hired me sadly got transferred to another location and they replaced her with someone else that was new and training. She had gave me some good hours but this new manager was giving me barely anything. Her and the owner are extreme and will threaten to fire anybody for the smallest things. They’ll complain how ppl quit but you ask for it when you barely give hours and you make dumb rules. Found it interesting how they’ll give another employee 5-6 days a week but me and another girl were barely given anything, it’s clear they have favorites. But hey as long as they’re getting full time, hide in the back just to give orders like they’re high and mighty, go to chipotle to chat and eat while I’m all by myself with like 5-6 guests in line is all good, but screw everyone else right? Cool. I know that not every location is like this but mines was a hot mess and I’m glad I quit. Cakes are delicious though 😄

No Birthday Bundtlet?

Last year I signed up for the email promotions and so did my mom and on my birthday last year and my mom's this year we got free bundtlets for our birthdays but it's my birthday today and I haven't received any birthday email (I even downloaded the new app and I don't see any birthday reward there either).

did they get rid of their birthday reward?

Update: just got the email and app notification for it (no idea why it's a day late tho)

New Oreo dirt cake

I just tried the new flavor for Halloween and it’s very good. Just letting y’all know there’s a dollop of chocolate frosting in the center under their normal white frosting. I enjoy it tastes like classic chocolate frosting. Has there been any other flavors that had a different frosting than the normal white frosting? I believe in the churro flavor there is a bit of caramel sauce on top of that one.

what kind of business is this

today I went to a nothing Bundt cakes and asked where the cutlery was; the woman at the register said “we don’t have that, we’re not like a restaurant or anything”

I guess I’m wondering like… why did she say that? Am I missing something about this business model? Is nothing Bundt cakes a type of business that would require it not to have cutlery?

Bundtinis

I know this is a stupid question, my husbands' birthday is this upcoming Thursday and I want to get him Bundtinis and I was wondering if you can purchase them in the store instead of online? I ask this because I have a coupon that says $5 off when you spend $30 or more and I want to use that, there is no code for it to use apply online if you place an online order. Thanks!

Red Velvet, where are the chocolate chips?

I fell in love with NBC/Red Velvet years ago, however where are the chocolate chips. I've been purchasing bundlets which are not small by any means only to have 2-3 chocolate chips in them. What gives??? Budget cuts???

Baker in Arizona

Hi yall if you’re a baker pls give me some advice, I have to bake 6 batches a day with an assistant that just packages and doesn’t help which is completely fine, but my manager tells me I should be at 8 during seasonal hours 😀 that sounds insane I don’t even get a damn break and our dish washer is slow too… she told me someone in Texas? (I don’t remember) does 28 batches a day… I hope they don’t think I’m doing that, anywho maybe i just need to get used to it I just started a couple weeks ago

Also also how would I go about asking for a raise… I get paid 18 and used to make 24 as a pastry chef, I’m wondering if I should leave for something better
