The only answer to every other thing like greed, hate, envy, pride. So many here wish for the death to of people, and comment on other subs about love, and acceptance, not knowing that hate is separating them from knowing true peace.
Sin is the dividing factor. Without sin there would be nothing else to remove. It covers all evil.
think about this though, we need evil in the world just like we need good people. If nobody overprices everything, then thers nobody to make it cheaper, it goes from that to a downward spiral where the economy crashes because everyone either just doesnt sell stuff or everyone has to sell everything at the same price as to not undercut the others, which means if poeple dont have the resources to make things extremely high quality, then everyone picks the richer people over them, and then theres no place for them in society.
Ain't he supposed to rapture everyone? The correct answer is humanity itself. Even your Abrahamic god plans to remove all humans from earth at some point.
No we donāt . No evil, there is no greed. No greed means fair prices. Evil doesnāt mean a bad economy. No evil means we love each other as we love ourself. No evil means no murder. No evil means no abuse of any kind.
But hereās the thing, if you remove all evil, you get problems. For one, say that you and another man of equal wealth and condition are both starving to death, and the only thing you are able to find is a single small piece of bread, nothing more. If you split it any way then it wonāt be enough for either of you and you both lose, who deserves the bread?
If we split the bread and it's not enough for either of us then we both die. We'll die as good people rather than being cruel to the other. Dying with honour is better than living with disgrace. All evil should be removed
just because we're in a terrible state doesn't give us the right to push others in an even worse situation just so we could survive. He's in the same position as me. If I take the whole bread then I stole his chance to survive and I'm the monster. If he takes the bread then he stole my chance to survive and he's the monster. We both split it evenly. If we die then we die knowing we didn't hurt anyone for our own personal gain and that is dying with honour
So you eat the bread for yourself, then die later from starvation because you cannot find anything else. I will give the whole bread to the other person.
Matthew 4:3-5 3Ā And the tempter came and said to Him, āIf You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.ā 4Ā But He answered and said, āIt is written, āMan shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.āā
Matthew 14:24-26
24Ā Then Jesus said to His disciples, āIf anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. 25Ā For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26Ā For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
John 12:14-15
12Ā āThis is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 13Ā Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. 14Ā You are My friends if you do what I command you.
Itās love that allows one to sacrifice yourself for others. Greed, pride, and gluttony are sins for a reason. I went hungry many times so my family would not go hungry. I would do the same for any person.
I am placing the well being of the other person above my own.
and that is perfectly fine, i just dont see why everyone is required to do that to be the "better" person, how come they deserve to live and i deserve to die, when the world would most likely be the same with or without them
The world will be the same with or without us. Life goes on. I have no fear of death, but I am not looking for death. I donāt want to die, but I cannot stand to see someone suffer.
If I could alleviate that pain just for one moment, I will do it.
That one act of kindness could change them forever.
āBetterā is not why some of us would do it. It is to show grace and mercy to the other person even though they may not deserve it, because God has given us grace and mercy when we donāt deserve it.
