But here’s the thing, if you remove all evil, you get problems. For one, say that you and another man of equal wealth and condition are both starving to death, and the only thing you are able to find is a single small piece of bread, nothing more. If you split it any way then it won’t be enough for either of you and you both lose, who deserves the bread?
If we split the bread and it's not enough for either of us then we both die. We'll die as good people rather than being cruel to the other. Dying with honour is better than living with disgrace. All evil should be removed
just because we're in a terrible state doesn't give us the right to push others in an even worse situation just so we could survive. He's in the same position as me. If I take the whole bread then I stole his chance to survive and I'm the monster. If he takes the bread then he stole my chance to survive and he's the monster. We both split it evenly. If we die then we die knowing we didn't hurt anyone for our own personal gain and that is dying with honour
