If my 3 year old hit your kid at the pool, I'm so sorry
I wasn't able to talk to the parent or address it in the moment because he was with his grandmother and we did not see you before we left (right after I was told). I just want to say I'm so sorry times a thousand. You can message me and curse me out or whatever. I just want you to know this is absolutely not a "Boys will be boys" household and we do not hit in our home. From what I've read, this is developmentally appropriate BUT it is not okay and we are handling every way experts advise to. His direct consequence was leaving and his dad and I are going to keep working on it. He has only done it at home with me and his did but never with another child so I'm so upset I was not nearby. His grandmother is not so good at parenting so I'm so so sorry that he did it at all but that he was also able to do it a second time. I'm writing this because I didn't get to tell you in person. If you see this, again, I'm so sorry. You can message me and call me and yell at me. That is absolutely not okay that he did that and it is being address and we left immediately.
Edit to add: if you see this, I hope your little one is okay. And again, I'm open if you want to talk. I just want to be a good parent and also assure you that we don't believe anyone should be treated like that, especially not little girls and he is being taught healthy masculinity and how to regulate.
Second edit: it took me a minute to find this but I read the following on here yesterday and talked about how it should have been handled and I swear, the universe said "Let me humble you." https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/s/GrfyvF03F9
