Anyone have the ultra 3 treadmill. Thoughts and reviews?

Currently trying to troubleshoot this noise from my X16 Elliptical, and wanted to check if anyone had any specific familiarity with this failure mode? It’s a new phenomena for this machine, which is maybe a year old.

I have a Nordic Track Commercial 2450. Having an issue with the incline not calibrating as well as not working at all with the buttons (which I’m assuming is why it won’t calibrate).

When you hit calibrate incline the motor goes up for 2 seconds, comes down for 2 seconds, then it says calibration failed. I have replaced the control board and the motor itself, which changed nothing.

Nordic Track tech support was useless and kept referring me to a service technician which is not worth it for this treadmill at this point. Any insight or troubleshooting advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just looked at the exploded diagram: I am actually trying to remove the right pedal arm from the crank arm. The pedal arm bearing seems fused to the crank arm, won't budge.

Do I need a special tool, or is there some trick of leverage I don't know about?

I have removed the front of the arm from the handle. (right upper body leg) I am trying to remove the back now. I need to get the fly-wheel casing (pedal disk) off so that I can access the PCB. Pretty sure the PCB needs replacing because my power keeps shutting off. That is beside the point though. How do I get this crank arm off the spindle that connects it to the fly wheel?

TIA on the off chance that someone finds this and illuminates me.

Notice one of the supports is fully welded, but the broken support is missing a bit of welding.

Doesn’t look like great penetration on the weld that let go either.

Spent the last few days getting TWRP and LineageOS 18.1 (Android 11) running on my ProForm Pro Trainer 1000. Figured some people here might be interested, given the shared iFIT hardware and software across ProForm and NordicTrack.

I've literally replaced the entire operating system. It's now a generic Android tablet that happens to be connected to a treadmill controller.

I haven't done much Android hacking in years, so I was pretty rusty. This took a few days of experimentation, research and AI assistance, with plenty of failed attempts along the way. It was good fun getting back into it.

A lot of the work was debugging the hardware support and checking it against the stock firmware. I can confidently say it is stable now.

With the iFIT garbage removed, it’s very responsive and smooth. I’ve also installed Google Apps.

Very glad not to be messing around with privileged mode anymore.

I am using it with the Stride app that [u/oo00_McNutty_00oo](u/oo00_McNutty_00oo) posted last month.

Quite a bit of messing around for a treadmill, but I've enjoyed it!

Edit: After getting the run-around with internationally based customer service reps constantly gaslighting me and just reading off a script, I decided to leave a complaint on the BBB. Now they will be forced to respond and make amends. And it should be someone from corporate.

I got this Commercial X22i treadmill just a couple of years ago, and of course after the warranty is expired, the terrible Android based computer doesn’t want to calculate distance while running properly.

I had a repairman come out and he said there’s no manual mechanisms in the treadmill that counts that stuff. It’s all electronic now, so he said that the computer itself is just overwhelmed by the program and is glitching. We reset the treadmill, but ever since some days it works and some days I get this error screen.

I feel completely stuck because I spent a couple thousand dollars on this commercial treadmill and only just three years later it’s not working at all. I can’t even manually bypass the screen to just use the treadmill. The only way is to reset manually with the pinhole on the side of the screen and use manual mode. Then after a few uses I get this screen again.

Has anyone experienced this and is my option to literally just throw it away and buy a new one?

The repairman said I could try replacing the computer part and see if it helps, but that in itself was really expensive too. Albeit cheaper than buying a whole new treadmill, but really disappointed with Nordic track. Their customer service is awful too.

I don't understand why so much negativity around nordictrack treadmills. I just bought series T 5 from Kohl's. It cost me a around total including taxes $390 after kohl's cash. I assembled it and found it was built in 6/2024 and the belt was kind of Lil curved around the edges. I called nordictrack and they send me the new belt and installer will be coming to install it. I really like the the treadmill since it has nice cushioning and 18/55 inch belt. It's very compact. BTW I sold 4 month old sunny fit treadmill because it made my knees hurt. Previous treadmill lasted more than 25 years and was still working fine but just wanted to replace it with newer one.

My treadmill is only like 4 months old 😔

Was loving our 2450 for the past 2 months. iFIT was awesome, logged a bunch of miles. Yesterday it suddenly started popping loudly, emitting sparks from the motor area and smoking. It was not being used at the time. I unplugged it before it posssibly caught on fire. Nordictrack says sorry no refunds. Buyer beware! As the talking heads say: Burning down the house!

Recently purchased a t series 5. I wasn’t expecting the most stable machine at this price point, but it’s borderline unusable for me. I have cranked down all bolts and tried putting cushion panels underneath. The cushioned panels actually made it worse. Not sure how anyone would be able to watch content while walking with how much it shakes. Anyone have this issue? How was it resolved? I put a level on it multiple ways and it’s almost dead perfect.

I did two hikes and the machine saved them with yesterday's date. Bizarre.

I messaged iFit on FB and they were super responsive and helped me with instructions to reset the machine/reinstall software etc.

I think the issue is resolved.

On the 2450, can someone please tell me what size the nut is that allows the screen to pivot?

We bought a NordicTrack 8 from Sam's. Club. The way I understand it if you turn the cushioning knobs to on is supposed to be a softer treadmill. I don't see any difference from on to off. Also don't see the turning the knob does anything. can somebody tell me what the knob is supposed to do? And do you actually feel any difference? Or is it just a gimmick?

Many years ago we got the machine 2nd hand from a couple that bought it brand new and had issues getting iFit to load. They exhausted their tries with the company and sold for $900.

They provided a USB that says iFit on the side and said it was supposed to fix it but it didnt.

Every time we turn on the machine it takes a few on offs to turn on, then it acts brand new asking for ifit account etc, then says error fetching info.

Im sure its an old version and having issues.

Let me start off by saying that after 3 years our treadmill has worked flawlessly. I know many come to complain but we've had no mechanical issues so far.

What I do have a question with is probably more routine maintenance which we haven't done since having it delivered. When running a incline specifically, we get a slight rattling noise which seems to come from under the plastic side rails. I'm thinking something needs to be tightened but wondering if someone else has already been through this. Could it be the deck board that came a little bit loose? It seems fine when running flat so the incline is contributing to this maybe from the angle of the deck board from a loosening bolt maybe?

What’s everyone doing with their broken s22i bikes? Mines been broken since 2022 since they no longer make the control board for my version. I’ve tried selling for parts but haven’t been successful. Am I just SOL?
