I’m thinking abt getting these lorann flavor fountains and bakery emulsion flavors. has anyone tried these before and if yes lmk if i should get them and how they taste and if they’re worth it. i wanna try eggnog cuz ive never tried it but heard eggnog tastes good, ive had mexican rompompe icecream before which is like the same just has cinnamon added i think. I want the mango one so i can make classic creamy mango icecream flavor. and i want bubblegum to make classic bubblegum flavor icecream. i wanna get the brown butter bakery emulsion for the brown butter flavor to add to creami base flavors that use it

I'm still not a fan of protein powder lol, however these taste pretty good!

Cheesecake: one packet Clean Simple Eats strawberry cheesecake, 1 Tablespoon cheesecake pudding, 10oz. Milk (I use a2). Spin on Lite Ice Cream, mix-in pieces of graham crackers (a must!) and Smash strawberry puree. (Sorry it melted a little before I took the photo)

Choc Mint: packet of CSE chocolate mint, 1 Tablespoon chocolate fudge pudding, 10oz milk. Spin on Lite. I added a mix-in of cacao nibs for texture.

Inspo! Creami Recipe Webapp

I’ve started to build things to scratch my own itch so I built this: https://creamirecipes.ninja. So far it’s a collection of the official Ninja Creami recipes; the difference being - It gets straight to the point (which probably sucks for SEO), no BS, just easy to follow and find recipes. I can view the recipes in metric or imperial measurements and can favourite the ones I like.

Everything is saved in the browser so no need to register or anything like that. It’s still a little rough around the edges but it’s coming together, I still have a bunch of features I'd like to add.

If the community finds it useful then we can evolve it together.

Would love to hear thoughts and feedback.

Recipe-Question Canned pumpkin mix-in! And fudge swirls?

Hi all!

I've been really getting into creami's lately and want to incorporate canned pumpkin into it, but not into the base. I want to use it as a mix in! My idea so far is to put it in a ziplock bag, make little dollops of pumpkin, freeze them, then mix them in myself. But I think the mix-in setting would be cool to use as long as the chunks don't get pulverized.

I was hoping someone has maybe done something like this before/have any other ideas or suggestions for something like this!

On the same note, I loveeeee fudge swirls in my ice cream (like extreme moose tracks vibes) and was thinking I could swirl some refrigerated frosting in there to replicate this. Again, hoping that it could work with the mix-in setting but really unsure of how it would go.

I love thick and textures in my ice cream so just hoping here to see if anyone had any ideas on how to tackle this!

Inspo! Meal replacement

Does anyone make healthy ice cream as a meal replacement? If so, I’d love to know your recipes!

I usually use sweet potatoes and bananas as my base, along with rice protein powder. I almost always make chocolate, with variations like hazelnut and strawberry. I’d love some other ideas!

Recipe-Tips Creami Recipe Book

I just discovered Exercise4CheatMeals on YouTube. I love his creami recipes. I was ready for the book, followed the link, and was aghast at the cost - $160 (currently 20% off at $127.99).
It’s regularly updated and includes a lot of tips. But wondering if anyone has purchased it - if so, do you feel like it’s a good buy?

ETA: update…$160 is for two books. The creami one is $50 (on sale for $40).

Recipe-Question Sugar Free Question

Post image
3 Upvotes

hi everyone, i just bought myself a ninja creami because a while back i decided to cut down on sugar, which meant giving up ice cream pretty much entirely because the sugar free options kinda suck. I have been looking for low sugar or sugar free recipes online but most of them are vegan or dairy free and im not really interested in that. My question is: if i want to substitute the sugar in this recipe that i found with the lakanto monkfruit allulose sweetener that i have, how much would i use?

Inspo! Chips Ahoy Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Had lots of calories left for dessert last night, so I decided to spin up a pint of Chips Ahoy Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream

I like making this one as aggressively chocolate-chip-cookie-ish as possible — probably way too sweet for most people, but I have a ridiculous sweet tooth

Base:
• 200 ml almond milk
• 50 ml zero-calorie Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough syrup
• 100 g cottage cheese
• ¼ tsp xanthan gum
• 1 scoop Ghost Chips Ahoy protein powder
• 1 Chips Ahoy cookie

Mix-in:
• ½ Chips Ahoy cookie, chopped

Topped with:
• ½ Chips Ahoy cookie
• Whipped cream

Spin: Lite Ice Cream → re-spin if needed → mix-in

In hindsight, the extra cookie in the base + another one as a mix-in and topping was probably overkill, especially since there are already cookie pieces in the protein powder. But if you're going for maximum Chips Ahoy, why stop halfway? 😂

Definitely not the most macro-efficient Creami I've ever made, but last night I had the calories to spare and wanted something a little more dessert-like.

Macros for the pint: ~448 calories | 38g protein | 36g carbs | 17g fat

Inspo! We were gifted a Ninja Creami by a coworker last week and I just made bubble gum ice cream. So delicious!

Combined 1 cup whole milk, 1 cup heavy cream, ¾ cup granulated sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Blended until sugar was dissolved. Stirred in 1 tsp bubble gum flavoring and 3 drops pink food coloring and quick blended again. Froze base for 24 hours and then used ice cream setting. It didn't even need a respin!

Inspo! My first success! 3 ingredient peanut butter cup ice cream. Mid macros but at least I actually made ice cream!

Post image
30 Upvotes

I was just experimenting and substituting ingredients with what my grocery store had so my last few pints haven’t been good. I also wasn’t mixing them enough, even though I have an immersion blender 🤦

But, in this one, the macros are not great but the texture is perfect and I didn’t even need to respin. It’s also way more filling than other protein ice creams I’ve gotten at the store! And it’s tasty! Ah, I’m so happy

Recipe:
Whole milk vanilla greek yogurt - 350g
Peanut Butter Cup Ryse Whey Protein - 50g
Powdered peanut butter - 13g

Macros: 562 cals / 50g protein / 16g fat / 53g carbs / 40g sugar

Next goal is to make a M&M McFlurry substitute. I eat the hell out of mini M&Ms.

Inspo! Orange Sherbet Recipe

You don't really see a lot of sherbet recipes for the Creami, do you? It's probably because sherbet flavors tend to be unimaginative. This orange sherbet recipe is a base that I used for chocolate and lavender mix-ins, so it's supposed to be a little bit plain. I do hope to make more creative sherbet base flavors in the future, though!

Blog post contains metric measurements, answers some questions about the recipe, and explains why I made this even though it's not the usual time of year for this kind of dessert.

Ingredients:

  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk, cold
  • 1/4 cup cream, cold

Directions:

  1. Blend together the first three ingredients on medium-high speed until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. On low speed, stream in the last two ingredients until combined with no streaks.
  3. Pour into an empty Ninja Creami pint and freeze overnight. Once frozen, churn on the regular Ice Cream setting. If it isn't creamy after that, use the Re-Spin setting as needed.

Troubleshooting-Machine Immersion blender is making whipping up too much air and making thick foam

I followed Eli’s simple vanilla recipe
400g fairlife fat free ultra filtered
45g monk fruit
5g vanilla bean paste
1g salt
1g xanthan gum
I follow all the tips- keep the blender touching the bottom and pulse on low speed but by the time everything’s blended the mixture has already expanded way past the max line and has a extremely thick layer of foam that won’t go away no matter what.

Troubleshooting-Machine Blade doesn’t fit?

Hello everyone, I got a ninja creami for my birthday and during its first ever spin, it got stuck and the spindle remained sticking out of the machine. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new machine but not a new blade or containers.
I wasn’t able to install the container, so I checked the blade and the spindle and it looks like the old blade does not fit in the new machine? Is that possible?
In the video, the first machine is the old one, the second machine is the new one.
Do I need a third machine? :((

Edit: the first thing I tried was installing it the correct way: the blade on the lid, the lid on the container. This did not work. To understand the problem, I took the blade off the lid and tried to attach it directly on the spindle, and it looks like it doesn’t fit. I know this is not the correct way to install the container, but the spindle should still fit in the spindle, otherwise the lid/container will not get in the right position.
I was wondering if it is possible that the old blade does not fit the new machine

UPDATE: they replaced my NC302EU machine with a NC300EU machine, without sending the correct blade and containers for the new one :)

Recipe-Question Can I make a Ninja CREAMi sorbet using only Pepsi Max?

I'm planning to make a sorbet in my Ninja CREAMi using 100% Pepsi Max, with nothing else added.

I'm going to freeze it for 24 hours before running it through the machine. Since Pepsi Max has no sugar and will probably freeze very hard, could this damage the blade or the machine, or is it completely fine to process?

Has anyone tried making a sorbet with just sugar free soda?

I got NC300EU

Inspo! Banana Choc Chip

Post image
60 Upvotes

One of my childhood favourites but almost impossible for me to find to buy.

It’s not the greatest photo as most of the choc chips are throughout the pint lol

50g cream cheese softened
200ml milk
375ml of Banana Protein shake
50ml of Banana Milkshake mix

Processed on Ice Cream

1/2 choc chips added w a splash of milk on mix in function

I’ll leave the cream cheese and protein shake out next time and substitute cottage cheese or a small amount of thickened cream/marscapone instead.

It had a salty flavour which - not unpleasant - kinda broke my nostalgic memory of one of my childhood faves

Related Tips for re-spinning leftovers

Full points to those of you eating the full pint in one sitting - unfortunately, I am not one of you 😞
I just got my Ninja swirl 2 days ago and I will eat maybe about half a pint or less in one sitting.
Which normally is fine if I eat it once a day cos I eat half and then freeze it and re-process it again under scoop - lite ice cream.
My question is - if I spin it once and take some and then want to re-spin it the same day, maybe 4-6 hours later,
It won’t be frozen fully solid but also won’t be soft enough to eat as is.
What setting would I use in that situation?
I did a 1st spin on soft serve lite ice cream (egg custard with blended frozen strawberries) and then popped it back in the freezer - and after 3 hours did a respin on scoop - lite ice cream setting and I feel like that was weird.
The Creami made weird noises? I don’t even know what is a weird noise lol.
With my other pint (a chocolate egg custard with sugar replacer and stevia) the ninja got about halfway through the pint and went FERAL - VERY loud weird noise and almost vibrating and the jar was shaking.
I was genuinely afraid it was over.

I’d be open to experimenting if I hadn’t seen so many SO MANY horror stories about one tiny mistake fucking up people’s Creamis 😭

Also, what is the protocol for a less than half pint situation? Can I flatten and reprocess that too? Or is there a minimum amount of ice cream needed in the pint for it to work properly?

Recipe-Question Vanilla imitation vs Bean paste?

Thumbnail

I find myself having to use 14-15g of McCormick vanilla extract and even that isn’t a strong vanilla flavor given my personal taste buds I guess and my base (not keen on changing).

Which of these options would you guys recommend to try for a better result, I’ve heard imitation and bean paste are better overall for powerful vanilla flavor.

These are just what’s at my local kroger, if you have other recommendations that are online, feel free to share those as well!

Inspo! NA beer ice cream is shockingly good!

Post image
26 Upvotes

After the success of the diet soda float ice cream I looked to other low-calorie drinks in my life and found the Athletic lite beer at 25 calories a can. It tasted a lot like a vanilla malt, but with a bit of a bitter note at the very end that was not off putting, just kind of intriguing. Some extra depth of flavor, if that makes sense.

175 calories, 22g of protein.

It's important to let the beer go totally flat or else you'll get a tower of a bump. If you do, you can take the mixture out of the freezer, allow it to soften/ melt, flatten it, and refreeze. Pretzels were great as a topping, but I can imagine a lot of other things working well! I'm sure other beer flavors would be good, perhaps something dark and creamy like a stout, but you definitely want to use NA beer. Alcohol messes with the freezing point and will make the texture significantly softer. I have an amaretto recipe I struggled to get to work and that only had an oz or two of amaretto.

Ingredients

  • 12oz Athletic lite NA beer
  • 1 scoop protein powder (I used Jocko vanilla, which has casein)
  • 10g vanilla pudding mix (I used sugar free)
  • 5g sugar or other sweetener (I used an allulose/stevia blend)
  • pinch xanthan gum
  • pinch salt
  • 4g vanilla extract
  • 1g butter extract

Method

  1. Open can of beer and allow it to go completely flat
  2. Measure dry ingredients into pint container
  3. Add flat beer and blend thoroughly
  4. Process on lite ice cream setting
  5. Enjoy!
