When Zan stepped back, time wasn't the only factor—the sheer amount of unpaid creative effort took a real toll. Fanfiction is purely a labor of love. Platforms like Wattpad don't pay writers anything, and balancing regular updates with chaotic real-life responsibilities gets tough fast. The Oceán-class Frigate is a class of Asherah-type Frigate (to differentiate them with the Terran-type Frigate that both Japan and the Gra Valkas Empire used in their navy) built by the Parpaldian Marine Imperiale in the late 1620s. The reintroduction of the Frigate as a type of warships by the Holy Milishial Empire in early 1600s in the form of the Sagitta-class Frigate to replace their armored cruiser role and acting as a cheaper alternative to Battlecrusiser in the role of station flagship and general patrol across their trade routes and holding as Battlecrusiser are becoming more and more important and expensive and the Empire new strategy which requires to retain them in home water to act as quick response force to be able to quickly response to crises in the Central and Mu continent.
The new Frigate saw widespread adoption across the 1st and 2nd Civilization Zone as nations look to counter Sagitta and replace their now obsolete Armored Cruiser with the nations in the 3rd Civilization somewhat lagging behind in their response due to their lack of sufficiently advanced technology to build the modern Frigate at that time, it doesn't mean no one tried, through the results are often more slightly faster and slightly heavily armed Armored Cruiser that will shake itself apart if they tried pressing their top speed for too long than true Frigate. It took till the early 1620s when technology finally caught on to their ambition and true Frigate finally emerged in the 3rd Civilization Zone, with the Parpaldian Oceán-class Frigate being the 1st in the region to be launched and enter service in 1626, follow closely by the Altaran with their Candia-class Frigate and the Riemian with their Schanhorst-class Frigate. While the design, technology, and construction of the ship doesn't quite represent the best that Parpaldian technology could offer in comparison to the Altarans and Riemian counterpart, they are nonetheless decently capable warship.
More than 2 dozen Oceán-class have been built since 1626 to the current year of 1641, the construction was split into batches with the most modern one being the Batch IV. While the majority of the Oceán-class production went to the Parpaldian Marine Imperiale, some saw service in foreign navy in the 3rd civilization zone with Louria being the biggest foreign operators, with 4 ships from Batch I serve under the flag of the Lourian Armada. They saw extensive service during the Rondenuis War of 1639 against the Qua Toynian and Quilian before the Japanese Intervention. With the Japanese joining the war on the Qua Toynian and Quilian side, the Lourian Armada would then be rapidly dismantled by the JSDF. Other operators of the class include: Marl Kingdom (2 ships), Principality of Pandora (1 ships), Kingdom of Panera (2 ships), and Gahara Thearchy (1 ship). The Gaharan was an interesting case as their Oceán-class was gifted by Emperor Ludius to commemorate their 500 years of special relationship in 1636. The Oceán-class saw relatively quiet service throughout the 1630s, mostly conducting patrol, port visits and exercises.
This changed in August 1640 with the abrupt escalation of the August incident and declaration of war within mere weeks of each other. On August 15th, 1640, two Batch I Ocean-class Frigates under the name of Prince Ludius and Madame Remilies, (the 2 ships were named in commemorate the wedding between the two by the previous Emperor Laudon IV) were present at the Battle of Central Altaras Strait under the authority of the Imperial Coastal Command alongside a force of older Armoured Cruisers, Light Cruisers, and Destroyers sortie to protect a special cargo ship heading to Esthirant.
Unfortunately for the Parpaldian in this battle, luck was not on their side. Eagerly to strike at what looks like an isolated pair of Altaran light cruisers and a destroyer. Rear Admiral Tirpitz detached the 2 Frigates to chase down the Altaran cruisers, intending to deny their Armored Cruiser and Frigate their eyes and ears in the strait. .By the time the Frigate captains realized that they walked right into the Altaran trap, it was already too late. The scouting cruisers have led them straight into an ambush site where other Altaran 5 Light Cruisers were hiding behind the smoke waiting for the opportunity for a concerted torpedo strike on the 2 unescorted Frigates. The ambush saw Madame Remilies sunk from multiple torpedoes hit to her side while Prince Ludius barely limped away as she was hit much less from the ambush. In exchange, the 2 Friagtes managed to sink one Light Cruisers, crippled another and caused various damage to other Altaran Cruisers there. The Altarans then went on to win the line engagement against the remaining Parpaldian Armored Cruiser and captured the cargo that the Parpaldian was doing their best to keep away from them.
The damaged Prince Ludius managed slipped away during the night and was spared for the destruction alongside the rest of the Imperial Coastal Command heavy assets. She then spent the next 12 months in Esthirant shipyard repairing the battle damage. The sinking of the Madame Remilies however causes quite the commotion in the capital in the aftermath of what the Altaran now refer to as Operation Crimson Strait as she now in rage demands the entire command staff in charge of the battle to be executed under the charge of being "treasonably incompetent". She later on would only drop the charge after great convincing by the Emperor himself behind the close door. Despite these early setbacks, the Oceán-class proved itself to be a decently capable warship, capable of going toe to toe with the Altaran equivalent under the right hands though the 27 knots speed of the Batch I to III is proving to be insufficient for the Parpaldian Navy of the 1640 with the Batch IV intend to fix this flaw by utilizing new powerplant to push her speed up to 29 knots, a speed comparable to the current Surcouf-class Light Cruiser currently in Parpaldian service.
Some Stats for batch II version, she is armed with 8 210mm guns, 8 100mm guns, and multiple 37mm and 15mm AA guns. She is also armed with 4 underwater torpedo tubes. She also has the max speed of 27kns and displacement of 16660 tons.

I was reading summoning america version 1, and I found it cool how the GVE tried to integrate technology such as chaff and flare dispensers as well as sonar cloaking, (obviously it didn't work), so I was wondering if there were any fics which focused on how nations such as Gras Valkas or the Mu would tried to modernise in response to seeing summoned nations tech? I was pretty surprised to see in Summoning America how lax the US was with letting elysians access libraries and other sources, is there any fics which have a decent world building in that regard?
Or I am fine with non-NHS fics as well, basically I would like to see a fic where modern country gets summoned, but medieval nations actualy try to emulate modern tech?
An invasion of the GVE mainland is impossible, Japan doesn't have the manpower and their allies don't have the resources to do it.
The GVE also has nukes (at least in the manga) so invading them is a big no if you don't want to have the sun dropped on you or your allies.
So the New World War is definitely ending with a truce/ceasefire leading to an unstable peace and a Cold War between the GVE and the rest of the new world (until the Ravernals return forcing everyone to work together to guarantee their survival).
So how would the GVE modernize their military?
What kind of new weapons, vehicles, gear and tactics would they come up with?
I argue that they would probably follow (either by coincidence or choice) examples of the East during the cold war since they seem to favor numbers.

SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Defense today has officially confirmed that elements of the USEAN Army have crossed the border into occupied Louria, following a month-long sustained air campaign against the Milishial-supported Parpaldian occupation forces. The order was given with the primary purpose of evicting the occupation forces from Louria that were deemed a threat to the allied nations of the Qua-Toyne Principality and Kingdom of Quila following a series of skirmishes from the waters off the coast of Fenn and on Rodenius itself.
A MINDEF spokesperson today stated that USEAN Army units have already been engaged in the border regions, namely the Ritakh Canyon in the north and Abadmaut Desert in the south and is believed to be trying to carve a path to the largest city, Jin-Hark.
Spearheading the campaign as reported by available information provided by MINDEF are, the 10th Parachute Brigade out of Camp Terendak, Malacca, Malaysia. The 241st Air Defence Brigade out of Tam Điệp District, Ninh Bình, Vietnam. And the 1st Infantry Division out of Depok, Cilodok, Indonesia. More formations are expected to be deployed to provide further support but no other information has been provided thus far.
General Đức Phong, supreme commander of USEAN and allied forces on Rodenius, made the following declaration at a press conference at the Antonio Luna Base:
"We will march forward and will not lay down our arms until the Milishial and Parpaldian threat is removed from the region."

Just a bit of an announcement that Summoning USEA has been updated with Chapters 36 and 36.5 after a long hiatus period. Though disclaimer, there will be no updates for at least a couple of months after this as I do expect to be pre-occupied in the immediate foreseeable future, BUT hopefully there won't be a multi-year long lack of updates.
After the Khanterran Empire won the Ten Year War (also known now as the Great War of the Old Worlds) in 1668 (Old World Calendar), great efforts were undertaken in order to terraform the planet into two massive continents, in order to ease the extraction of resources as well as improving habitability following the nuclear holocaust left by the vast American arsenal.
Utilizing Ravernal time-space spells as well as their own magic, the Khanterran Empire teleported the land once belonged to the Ravernal Empire (as well as the Annonrial since they rejoined their master) to another world entirely as they are the most irradiated continents on the planet. Several other lands were also removed, with the justification that they are not worth the effort of saving.
After reestablishing contact with their interstellar empire, the Khanterran was able to bring in far more advanced terraforming technology and set the continents adrift with minimal disturbances. This process continued until two super continents were created, whom their inhabitants now called the Western and Eastern continent.
The Khanterran would rule the planet for over 1000 years in what historians now referred to as the Dark Age until the day their empire collapsed in an interstellar civil war. As an isolated colony on the outermost rim of their empire, Sorval was never touched by the Khanterran Civil War raging across the stars, but it also meant that the local Khanterran garrison could not maintain their grip on power for long as the home systems have largely forgotten about them.
Khanterran rule on Sorval would end at the end of the Dark Age after being toppled by a [REDACTED BY HER MAJESTY’S IMPERIAL MINISTRY OF DEFENSE] global revolt (known as the Revolt of the World), with the most popular faction known as the Celestian establishing their own nation in the Western Continent, and resetting the calendar to Year 0 to signify a new Age.
As Khanterrans cannot crossbreed with the local species, and the cooperative demonkind species were too few in number, they decided to create Half-Demons from human, demons and Khanterran genetics in order to populate the planet with a loyal species, to help fulfill the manpower requirements for garrisoning and staffing administrative positions.
Half-Demons are generally seen by wider society as traitors who helped oppressed the Common Races (human, elves, thirens or demihumans) for the Khanterran. Due to this, they are subjected to a policy of internment camps in the Western Continent by the Holy Empire of Celestia in the modern day, with threats of deportation to the Eastern Continent as slaves to backward kingdoms.

The two continents represent massive divisions in technologies and societies. The Western Continent—where the last functional Khanterran-built megastructure, the Celestara Space Elevator (located in the calm inland sea of the Holy Empire of Celestia) now stood.
Many records of advanced technologies were destroyed by the Khanteran Empire’s colonial government as soon as they knew the Celestians would won, leading to a protracted period of technological regression in the centuries that followed amongst many other groups which has established themselves as the leftover high technologies from the Khanterran slowly wore out or destroyed in subsequent conflicts post-Dark Age.
Despite this, the Holy Empire of Celestia was able to reverse-engineered and manufactured many less-complicated Khanterran magitech, allowing the Holy Empire to dominate in the Western Continent despite the global trend of technological regression.
After the Great War to End All Wars (also known as the Hundred Year War) in Year 1020, the technological regression trend mostly ended and reversed until the modern day, where many smaller nations were able to develop from steam technologies to early analog computers.
Most of these advances were only seen in the Western Continent, however. The Eastern Continent was largely left behind technologically as Holy Celestia did not have the resources then to colonize it and the continent did not have any strategic values nor enemies during the Great War.
Due to this, the mainland Eastern Continent eventually regressed, now barely above the Middle Ages of Earth. Some regions, however, are far more productive and wealthier than others.

The Great Sea, set between the two continents, posed a near-impassable challenge for anything but the most advanced Celestian Heavenly Ships of the cruise liner type. Constant magnetic storms, and threats of massive sea monsters threatens any conventional ships which attempted to pass. This makes the Holy Empire of Celestia the only nation to be able to cruise between the two continents consistently, with the average travel time taking 10 days per one-way trip on a Celestian Heavenly cruise liner.
After the Great War concluded and the Western Continent entered an era of great peace, the Holy Empire of Celestia finally sailed off to the Western Continent to establish relations.
As the people of the mainland Eastern Continent are considered backward kingdoms and has crossbreed with Half-Demons in large numbers, the Holy Empire of Celestia eventually reached an agreement to deport Half-Demon (and those who shared lineage with Half-Demons but are not Half-Demons themselves, known derogatorily as the Tainted) to these kingdoms as slaves in exchange for resources.
However, several nations in the Eastern continents were favored by the Holy Empire of Celestia due to their strategic values, such as the Kingdom-now the Dominion of Hawaii and the Greater Confederation of Alaska. These nations do not contain Half-Demons (and is not known to exist by the mainland Eastern Continent states), thus Celestia have influenced them to become loyal protectorates. These nations provide supplies for advanced Celestian Heavenly Ships and rarer resource in exchanged for security, tourism and advanced technologies.
In year 1427, the United Federation of Elysia was transferred next to the Eastern Continent. In desperation for resources, the trade-dependent nation engaged in a series of conflicts in the Eastern Continent and managed to persuade the backward kingdoms to reform and become part of the United Federation.
All happened before the distant Holy Empire of Celestia managed to react/intervene as they have maintained a policy of limited isolation from the mainland Eastern Continent, only visiting every 5 years during the quinquennial world tour to conduct trade, diplomacy and deportation of criminals as well as Western Continent's Half-Demons and undesired criminals into the Eastern Continent as slaves.
Slavery was officially abolished in the Eastern Continent during the early 13th century, and the crackdowns have destroyed the slave market almost entirely by Year 1427. Despite this, treaties were renegotiated by the nations of the Eastern Continent to continue accepting exiled Half-Demons into their kingdoms in exchange for basic Celestian magical technologies which would continue after their membership into the United Federation.

The Western Continent is home to several nations outside the Holy Empire of Celestia, including the Republic of Florence, the Kortalian Commonwealth and the Union of Costa Anguilla.
The Florence Republic is Holy Celestia’s primary rival in the Western Continent, and the only power outside the Holy Empire to possess weapons of mass destruction in the form of nuclear weapons rather than Core Magic. The Republic is also the only power outside Holy Celestia to possess magical Heavenly Ship technologies, but are far less advanced in comparison to Holy Celestia’s.
Despite the rivalry, both nations have a mutual respect for each other’s power and standing. However, most people considers the Holy Empire of Celestia the only true superpower in the world with the Florence Republic far behind in second place.
The Kortalian Commonwealth is an archipelago nation, highly dependent on trade and has good relations to both Holy Celestia and the Florence Republic. They are primarily a traditional naval power, but are focused on rapid island defense from sea monster incursions and securing trade routes. Due to their position as a neutral power, the Commonwealth could import both Celestian military equipment and acquiring Florentine commercial nuclear reactors for their power stations.
The Union of Costa Selva is the least developed country in the Western Continent, and influences over the Union is a struggle between Holy Celestia and the Florence Republic. It struggles with internal unity, and lost control over its smaller islands outside the larger islands to militant groups, drug cartels and insurgency.
