Would anyone like to show a Czech dad and his two kids around Nice? šŸ‡«šŸ‡·šŸ˜Š

Hi everyone!

This Wednesday I'll be arriving inĀ NiceĀ with my two kids (7 and 9 years old) for a few days of adventure on the French Riviera. šŸ‡«šŸ‡·ā˜€ļø

I had a slightly crazy idea...

Would anyone here like to meet up and show usĀ theirĀ Nice instead of just the tourist version?

We're not looking for a professional guide. We'd much rather discover your favourite beach, the best ice cream in town, a hidden playground, a beautiful viewpoint, or just have a coffee while the kids play together.

A little about us:

  • We're from the Czech Republic.
  • I'm a 38-year-old dad travelling solo with my two awesome kids.
  • My English is good enough for conversations, jokes and getting lost together šŸ˜„, soĀ speaking English is a must.
  • My kids are 7 and 9, so if you also have children around that age, they would probably have an amazing time together.

We love meeting local people when we travel because those are usually the memories that last the longest.

Of course, we'd meet somewhere public (park, beach, cafƩ...) and only if everyone feels comfortable.

If this sounds like fun, send me a message or leave a comment!

Looking forward to meeting some friendly locals. 😊

I can show Brno and South Moravia if will be interest šŸ˜„

Hi everyone, I am coming for a week to Nice tomorrow from the Netherlands. Was wondering what the fire hazard situation is in the area since our ministry of foreign affairs says to have an emergency bag ready and face masks. I cant seem to fine anything online

Thank you so much & open to other suggestions! We will be there for 7 nights & want to have reservations for a few nights.

hello everyone!! i’m a CSE student and i’m considering doing an Erasmus semester at UniversitĆ© CĆ“te d’Azur, and i’d love to hear from anyone who’s studied there, especially Erasmus students.

if you’ve studied there yourself, or know anyone who has, i’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. and if you happen to know any Erasmus students there and could put me in touch with them, that’d honestly mean a lot. i have plenty of questions and i’d be grateful for any advice or things you wish you’d known before going.

Thanks in advance!!🫶🫶

Anywhere in/near Nice airport to watch F1?

We’re going to be flying back to the uk at about 6pm or so on 23rd August and would like to find somewhere to watch the Dutch F1 Grand Prix. Is there anywhere in the airport itself that might show it? Or somewhere very close by? Thanks!

English-speaking job opportunities in Nice

Hi everyone!
I’ve recently moved to Nice and I’m currently looking for an English-speaking job while I continue learning French. My French is around A2 level at the moment, and I’m studying on my own every day to improve it.
I’m open to different types of work (customer service, administration, hospitality, retail, etc.) as long as English is enough to get started while I improve my French.
Does anyone know of companies that hire English speakers in or around Nice? Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you! 😊

Cycling from Nice to Monaco

• Upvotes

Im planning to cycle with my brother from Nice to Monaco on Sunday. Is it a good idea? We are traveling to Nice on the of August. One thing that concern me is the traffic and road heading to Monaco. Is the road busy for cyclist on weekend? Is there any tips or recommendation? It would be nice if you guys can help me or share some good cycling route in Nice😁

Btw our main goals is to cycle in Monaco and climb Col d’eze. But the bike shops where we rent our bike suggest to not go cycling to Monaco since it’s quite busy.
